BUYERS BEWARE - what a horrible experience with this company. They have the worst customer service. I haven't experienced anything this bad from a company. They are quick to take your money for a purchase and for my particular item it was listed as 'EXPRESS' to be shipped within 2 business days. It has been 12 business days and not one reply to an email - their customer service consultants all say the same thing, "your matter has been escalated" and nothing happens. It is appalling. The first and last time I will ever buy from this website. I am still waiting on an answer as to where my item is!

Very upset at this company. Ordered my first bag, a quite structured leather bag, and it arrived today. The bag, which definitely wasn’t cheap, was pristine in the photos but did not come well packaged so it got damaged in transit. Either the seller didn’t package it properly (in which case their authentication and verification team didn’t do a good job) or they themselves didn’t package it properly which is equally unacceptable. You would expect they do a better job at packaging items that are over a thousand euro but apparently not. Won’t buy here again.

I tried to sell my MaxMara Manuela camel hair coat on this site. When a buyer was interested, I sent my coat to them. But they wrongly assessed my item as being non compliant because they mistakenly thought viscose was the main material, when viscose was the lining. For a company that is used to dealing with luxury they really don’t know how to tell what the main Fabric of a garment is from it’s lining. Really poor assessment service.They sent my coat back to me, and I will never sell with them Again. Customer service was really unhelpful as well and the system was clunky. Really untrustworthy in my opinion.

worse service ever, as someone that solely buys online, Net, Matches etc, I realised how badly and backwards VC is ran. How can it take 10days for an item to be shipped. how come the warehouse doesn't send an email saying they have received the email and the shipment will follow and why on earth VC advertises free shipping and then shipping is charged??

I’ve used Vestiaire several times to sell items but I won’t use them again. A few weeks ago I sold a bag of mine, but it was unfortunately rejected by the team at Vestiaire because my measurements were incorrect by 1cm - that was my fault. (But they removed my “trusted seller” status over this one accidental transgression, which was annoying). They said they’d send the bag back to me, so I emailed them 3 times to make sure they sent the bag to a new address, as I’d just moved. Several days later, I had no response from them and then they emailed to say they’ve shipped my bag anyway to the wrong address. So, after calling them and waiting 20 minutes on hold, all I was told was that they are busy and can’t respond to every email they get. They weren’t even apologetic. And they said I have to hope my bag gets redirected back to them before they resend it to my new address. Total waste of time. They used to be great but now they are so busy their customer service is absolutely abysmal. I’ve never before heard of waiting 5 days for a response to an email. I’m going to take my business elsewhere now.

Terrible customer service
No help, can't cancel orders or receive a refund. The only solution offered is to resell on the website ( FOC and commission free), which is a lie. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Hardly Ever Worn It - 100 times better than this rubbish company!!

I actually read the reviews before I made my purchase - I thought the bad things might just happen occasionally until this really happened to me. I purchased an item for $2k and I was so excited to wait for my item coming to my house. However, the seller never shipped out the item while he kept posting new items to his page. He never replied to my comment either - this is why I don't understand VC, they don't allow you to contact the seller directly! And I've been waiting for 2 weeks with no updates at all and also there's no option for me to cancel my order - $2k is not a small amount and I don't even know how long it will take to get my money back or it takes forever? No one ever answered my calls too, they have the worst customer service in the world. I've submitted a dispute for this transaction.

I know there's a lot of bad reviews about vestiaire collective, but i had a pleasant transaction with this site. I bought a very good condition bag with cheap price. And it's authentic. The staff was very friendly. And the delivery was fast (8 days from seller in France to VC to Indonesia). I'm so satisfied and i think i will buy another bag from VC.

I have sold a number of items, even earning myself the Expert Seller badge recently to increase my visibility.
To date, all has been mostly smooth. However, I recently sold a Missoni dress, the system wasn’t working, I couldn’t print the shipping label for the new direct shipping service. I called customer care and was told that I could post directly to the buyer in France. I asked but what happens if the item goes missing. I was assured that Vestiare cover the insurance for both the buyer and seller and i’ll still be paid. So I took the item to the post office and sent it regular to France.
But, the buyer claims it’s not arrived, I am now being emailed, I can’t call up as you can’t get through to the ‘experts’. With days in between I keep being told that I need a tracker number for the item or nothing can be done.
So thank you to Vestiare’s mis-advice I am now out of pocket and have wasted so much time and frustrating confirming again that there is no shipping number. I would never have agreed to send the item that way if I was at risk of losing my money. It’s made me very angry.
I have asked for them to make a business decision, as I was not advised accurately to reimburse me, but I keep being fobbed off.
In short, an utter waste of my time and I have financially lost out.
I won’t be listing anything further unless this matter is appropriately rectified.

Recently I ordered a Gucci bag from VC. VC gave me a detail infomation via e mail what happened with my order. When they found that the bag was not so good as the owner has described, VC told me this and asked me if i still wanted this bag with lower price or i just wanted to cancel it. I told them i just wanted to cancel it. I got after that a confirmation that I would get my money back and they kept their promise. I got my money one day later. I am really satisfied with the service of VC. I will certainly buy preloved bags again from VC. Thank you for your great service and keep doing this.

A while ago I dropped my review about vesatiare collective, I am a seller and as well a buyer and I thought I have to update my review as at then I only sold 20 items.
And now i have sold over 100 items and as well bought from VC too.
So I think its the right time to drop a review because i have had a mixed feelings about VC before and struggles so I know what it means to not be satisfied.
I would say VC is a great place to buy and sell,the team there are doing a really great
I had few of my sells noncompliant,price reductions of sold items etc
And return of some of my items,that didnt meet description.
Which they end up sending back without me paying nothing!which they might have might have or might not have given the buyer a 10 euro voucher or even more.
and 100 % money back for that.
I know this because a shoe I bought from VC was non complaint,the sent me a 10 euro voucher,and sent my money back in full.
Which is they even lose money along the line trying to satisfy a buyer whose sales has been cancelled etc.
Up till now I have NOT lost 1 item I have sent or I am to receive from Vesatiare collective not 1.
Just yesterday I got a mail a bag that was non complaint since a year is sent back to me AFTER 1 YEAR!
I am wowed this people do not throw ur item anywhere,even when it states on the terms and conditions it would be destroyed after 6 months.
And yes there come a time when there was errors and items,thou it wasnt easy for me at that time but VC sorted it and apologised for the inconvenience.
and there was when I was like VC curation team is just too over the top!
AND I came to think but if a bag has defect why not state it,
if theres something missing why not state it.
why over look it,because you overlook it doesnt mean the buyer will,or that the buyer have to accept it anyway and if every seller will give a good description of their item,both seller and buyer will be happy.
which is creating more confident and trust for every buyer.
My take is VC does the most in satisfying both buyers and sellers very impartial.
And 2 very important thing to
1. buyers,PLEASE ALWAYS READ DESCRIPTIONS AND COMMENTS before purchasing an item on VC very important.
2. Know VC rules and conditions so you wont be upset over nothing,take your time to read before purchasing.
I am very happy with VC and I will keep referring them and keep buying and selling with them.
I am glued to Vesatiare and i dont think I can sell anywhere else anymore.

I’ve used Vestiaire collective quite a lot but my most recent purchase was stolen from my package before it reached me, the box it was in was not securely packed at all which would have made it easy for anyone to open from underneath and take my item!!
I informed Vestiaire collector over a month ago sent them all my details and a picture of the packaging, they said they would get back to me but I have heard NOTHING after I’ve emailed multiple times since.
I’ll tell anyone to AVOID this site until my order is refunded in full.

i purchased a Gucci back pack - condition stated as very good
Im not sure who assessed it but it was very scuffed and worn and was at best, squinting, Good Condition or Fair Condition
Would not buy anything else from them - once bitten ... and all that
The pack was expensive
The quality control is not up to standard - measured against
