This company tricks people into 5-year contracts with their "Welcome SURVEY" call which is actually some fast talking contract agreement that states "60 months" instead of 5 years because people would notice 5 years... especially after being told 2-3 years by the salesperson at the door.
Then when you try and cancel they tell you it's 5 years and most users are surprised. They threaten to ruin your credit if you try and bail. Essentially holding you financially ransom because of an underhanded phone scam.
They also tell you that you have a cancellation period which when you call (even if the next day) you are told you can not cancel because "Service was done" *Meaning sticky taped sensors were put on your door.
This company and its owner Graham Wood has been sued by both Pinnacle and ADT. For sketchy, underhanded, practices and lies.
DO NOT EVEN LET THEM IN YOUR HOUSE!

The salesperson was incredibly intrusive and insistent and actually showed up with a tech despite me not wanting the system. I was promised all kinds of things and a low rate and a short term etc. and ending up having double the term and the rate. I am moving and went to cancel and was told I could have the option to pay to move the system with me and continue the contract- that I don't want- or I could pay 80% of my last 11 months. I don't want or need the service and can't have it at a rental property. I was a good customer for over 3 years and never missed a payment. I finally got a "supervisor" and she reduced my payment down a little less than $100 but I will NEVER use them again or recommend them due to inflexibility. When I do buy my next house I will go with ADT or Ring!

I originally signed with Fluent while living in Indiana. this is the worst service ever. If you are considering home security provider DO NOT get Fluent. As soon as I can cancel this contract I will. my husband and I moved and they simply will not provide parts, service or any other issue I need resolved. right at this moment I am hold with fluent to resolve why I have paid for a part twice and still after 6 months not received the part. completely unacceptable.

Sales person was very friendly and installation was pain free. I was moving away from Vivint who had so many hidden fees and charges. I paid $1500 for installation and with Fluent it was completely free. The app is great and the autolocks on my door make me feel like I'm still tech savy in my old age ;)
