The Truefeed is an extremely useful distillation of how your constellation of analyzed traits impact specific aspects of your fitness. It helps in sorting actionable insights across a number of genetic markers, some seemingly contradictory in my case. I’m still sorting through the information to decide on what actions to take to adjust my training and eating habits, but this is an amazing guide. It will be a tool that I rely upon to optimize my approach to training.

I think fitness Genes was really good. Very targeted with a great deal of helpful results and action points. I am following the action points and after 2 weeks I’m beginning to see some very positive changes.

UI is difficult to understand. Many of the recommendations are conflicting or redundant. I thought I would get much more than a simple assessment and recommendation for supplements I should take.
I also thought there would be more information about types of predisposition to medical issues I may have.
Overall, way to expensive for what it was.

The good: When I initially contacted support to ask questions, they were very helpful. Also, my first sample was contaminated somehow, but they promptly sent out another collection kit. The information I did get is very useful.
The bad: I was supposed to get a 7 day workout plan, but either I accidentally deleted the email with the code to unlock it, or they never sent it. I sent a couple emails to support, but no response after 3 weeks (though it was over Christmas). Unless it comes with the workout, there is no overall explanation of how each trait interacts with the others. It takes a while to read through the Truefeed with each individual traits and associated info, especially when it is mixed with other articles.
After reading the reply from support:
I sent emails on 12/17 and 12/30.
I do like that you can select between the different types of trial workouts.
I like that it automatically adjust the nutrition macros based on the plan chosen.
I'm not sure if those trial workouts are tailored to my genes.
Website navigation is still not obvious, I would much prefer something like a .pdf that summarizes the findings and how that would apply to a workout.

There was a mountain of very useful information. But the way it is displayed requires an awful lot of scrolling - not great if you suffer from vertigo as I do. And the way it is worded and displayed is extremely confusing. I have a medical background, so I can understand what is meant, but only if I scrutinise very carefully indeed. I understand the need for background theory for each point, but even that could be put more simply. Then boxes and boxes of information, some of which contradicts itself! Very confusing.

I initially purchased the kit to do my DNA test, but when I went to register my barcode I realized that there’s an option to use results from other sites like 23andme for a lower price. I immediately contacted customer service to ask if they could cancel my test (I had sent it out just a few hours prior) and she said no problem, they would just deduct a small fee for the postage. I never heard back from them again and waited for the refund, but in a few weeks I got an email saying my results were in - they had never been canceled. I was annoyed but decided to just make the best of it. I tried looking through my results and it was completely overwhelming. There are so many traits, and so much information for each one. On top of that, the advice for some of them seem to contradict each other. The nutrition portion of their service is very frustrating too. You pick a plan, and then click on recipes, and they only show about 15 recipes at a time, but not the same 15 every time you look at them - some are the same, some are different, and there is no way to save or search for a specific recipe. The worst part though is that the service gave me pretty specific advice on how many calories and grams of protein to eat for breakfast, so you’d think there would be some way to filter the recipes to fit those criteria but there isn’t. You have to click through every single individual recipe to see the nutrition facts, again made more difficult by the way the recipes are organized to begin with. I think the concept is great and could be amazing, but overall I’m so angry I wasted money on this.

There is a lot of info, much to digest. It is difficult for the layman, and help is needed to interpret. I got my testing through my gym so my trainer goes through everything with me. I expect all the data to help me maintain and even improve my heath. I would definitely recommend testing to others.

Great stuff would have been a 5 stars if the meal diet plan was more specific. By giving us the actual recipes for every meal while doing the work out plan, but currently it simply give you ideas without pre calculating your Macro.
A MOBILE APP would be nice as well especially when following your workout plan when at the gym

Initially had an issue where my results wouldnt show but simon in customer service was really helpful and sorted the problem by the next day. Layout seemed a little complex at first but i soon worked it out and what you can learn about yourself Is amazing.

I have been nothing but impressed with the service and presentation of results from FitnessGenes. The results are easy to digest but not devoid of detail and, unsurprisingly, accurate. My returned profile matched my experience very closely and I have already used the actions to improve my approach to dieting and training. Despite being in the early stages, I can already see a difference.
Updating the feed as the science matures is an excellent addition. I look forward to seeing what else I can find out about myself at a genetic level and use that to achieve better results in the gym.

The good news is FitnessGenes gives you a ton of information. The bad news is FitnessGenes gives you a ton of information.
Honestly, I've read thru my results several times over the past few weeks and I'm still overwhelmed. They do their best to make the information easily digestible with bullet point summaries and recommendations.
It's just that there are SO MANY summaries. They cover A LOT of data points in your DNA. I really wish there was a higher level, "overall" summary. Maybe one sentence for each category; highlighting the good and the bad.
Also an enhancement I would recommend is to have the ability to filter the Dashboard by category. They have icons to help identify if the gene impacts Health, Muscle Growth, Fat Loss, etc. Let me filter the dashboard so I only see those impacting Fat Loss (for example). This would make the data more manageable to take in.
Overall I was satisfied with the product. I just haven't done anything with it because I'm still overwhelmed by it.

The process was easy; the results were broken down in a way that was easy to understand and (pardon the joke) easy to digest. Learned a lot and looking forward to using the info to be more healthy!

I ordered this because I thought it will help me identify foods that have an u healthy effect on my body and to help me lose weight. This is what was advertised in a review conducted by Buzzfeed. However, I felt the actual product was very different and useless. Provided me with no useful information in my weight loss journey. Don’t buy this.

Absolutely amazing factual, in-depth information. The traits are so me, it’s nice to have confirmed what I have been trying to figure out for the last 53yrs, just wish this had been available 30yrs ago. Following my actions, seeing results from them after only 2 weeks, especially the glutamine, there is so much more I could say, best investment I ever made in myself, thank you so much guys.

The format that you present data is haphazard and not easy to follow. Also, the data format is not friendly to read on a mobile device.

I was amazed at how detailed the information is! The easy breakdown of my macros on the nutrition guide is great since I’m trying to lose weight. All the work is done for me.

Fantastic and informative! I like that it gave me useful information regarding my health (for example, that I'm at risk for devloping bone health issues as I age) and fitness. The information itself is vast and overwhelming, so I found it helpful to use the Coaching Team. They were able to answer my questions and provide me with specific action steps for nutrtion and fitness based on my results.
I gave it 4 stars as there are things I was specifically looking for (such as meal plans). The site itself can also be challenging to navigate. However, the service is worth it if you want to have more information on your overall health.

A lot of information, very helpful but difficult to make sense of without having to buy additional services. Some of the results are general and the recommended actions can sometimes contradict themselves (for example, one result recommended melatonin for sleep, while another result indicated melatonin might impact my sleep cycle). I tried the one-week trial for the work out and it was the same work out every single day. Wasn’t expecting that. But still extremely happy to learn what I did about my health.
