Did my Cert IV in Fitness in class and it's the best thing I've done. So much good info and it taught me so much more than doing it online. Kia and Cassie were absolutely amazing! Nearly 1 year since I finished and I'm still following the notes from the class!

FIT College was an easy in and out way to earn my certificates 3 and 4 in Personal Training. Overall I had a good experience studying in-house, however, there was very little and if so, very basic education around strength training. Do we give beginner clients a chance to get under a barbell in their first month of training? Certainly not. More emphasis around progressions in strength training would be beneficial.
There was no introduction to working with General Population clients. When it comes to keeping clients it's not all about "having a good personality", because if your client injures themselves via poor technique you're not going to have a business to run. More focus on what works... calorie deficit (if looking for fat loss) and the importance of training compliance. We aren't here to take their money, we are here to help them create better lifestyle habits.
I didn't hear progressive overload mentioned once. How are PTs ever going to make progress with their clients?
"You're not just a PT, you're a therapist too" and yet I didn't hear mental health mentioned once. Clients are coming in and abusing the gym for a way to cope with bad lifestyle habits... is there methods around how we can notice signs of depression or anxiety? How can PTs help their clients train more than once a week outside of a PT session? We cannot diagnose, but there actually isn't any Scope of Practise that limits us to working with clients on their mental health.
The statistics given to us on day one: "out of the 15 of you, only 3 will go on to become successful Personal Trainers". Red flag if you ask me - ever considered asking why the stats are so low? What support are you not giving trainers in order for them to go out into the industry and be successful?
I LOVED all my tutors/mentors, the set up of the education from prac to theory itself was amazing. None of the above is to discredit FIT College, only constructive criticism.

Run by people who are passionate about fitness for people for whom fitness is their passion. The staff are not just book-smart, but have an unfathomable amount of hands-on, real-world experience. Classes are fun and very well structured, allowing students to share their knowledge with classmates, as well as advancing their fitness skills with the view of joining the industry. Studying on-line and part time face-to-face courses are available. However, for a truly 100-per-cent-rock-solid-entertainment-that-never-ends kind of experience I do recommend a full-time face-to-face 14-week-long course (Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness). Students forge an enduring bond by learning and training together (as well as each other) - a fantastic way to get started in fitness, amplified by a unique and friendly atmosphere.

My experience at Fit College was nothing short of amazing! Learning from professionals, with years of experience within the fitness industry, set me up for a successful future in the field. The perfect balance of theory and practical classes made my time studying engaging and enjoyable! Could not recommend Fit College enough! If you're thinking about studying, then this is the sign to do it!!!

Overall my experience was average. I did not feel fully prepared to enter the fitness industry as I felt content was rushed over week by week with no time to question areas of concern.
