We had an wonderful time on our 14 day tour of Morocco. The hotels were great, the food was amazing and Rachid, our tour guide/driver was incredible. We really enjoyed the different landscapes of Morocco. We saw everything from cities to the ocean to the desert to markets and much more. I don't think there was a questiosn that Rachid couldn't answer and we asked a lot of questions. Rachid also stopped several places during our drives that we know we would not have seen any other way. We had a great time with Experience It Tours and hope to do another tour with them again sometime in the near future.

My daughter and I went with Experience It Tours after we had trouble with another agency. This was the the best decision we could have made. From the time we looked at their Morocco package (fantastic), to customizing our experience, every detail was looked at. They made sure we would thoroughly enjoy our trip to Morocco. Our very own personal driver, Hamid, was the best. He was knowledgeable, courteous. professional and he made sure that we were well looked after. Our hotels, Riads, restaurants and tour guides were all that helped to make this a memorable experience for me and my family. Even though my daughter had her luggage delayed for 5 days, Experience It Tours and Hamid did all they could to facilitate the process of getting the luggage delivered as soon as possible. Anyone looking for a fantastic Moroccan experience should definitely give Experience It Tours a try. You won't regret it.

My wife and I had a great trip. We usually are explorers on our own we when travel. We travel quite a bit. I was nervous about a driver and tour guide for the whole trip. I now see why it works so well in Morocco. There is no way we could of done all we did on our own. We had 12 days there. Saw it all. It’s nice because you can be crazy and explore or relax and be chill. We would of missed so much special things without Experience It!! Great job! Highly recommend it. Tips I wish I would of known: at airport get small bills, they all hate big bills over 100 MAD. There was always a good “pressing” place to do laundry. 1/5 cost of hotel and done by afternoon. There are great street food places everywhere. Don’t be shy to walk around corners as there are many good surprises to see.

My daughter and I had a fabulous vacation in Morocco and Experience It Tours made it happen. We consider ourselves pretty well traveled and have never used an agency to completely plan a trip. This was a special trip for us and we decided to leave the planning to an agency. I selected Experience It Tours based on reviews. Every single detail of this trip was perfect and our guide and driver, Llyass, was fabulous. He got to know us and what we liked and he customized every single day just for us. Thank you so much for making this such a memorable journey.

I want to give a huge thank you to Andrew Slate with Beyond Red Square and Experience It Tours. He set my wife and I up with an awesome trip through the North Caucasus from Elbrus to Grozny. Everyone involved took into account our interests, budget, preferences, and more importantly, several last minute changes as opportunities arose. All the guides were wonderful, and the drivers were kind. No complaints.
It was fun to get to know the culture in each of the republics and learn the history of the many peoples living there. We spent 2 1/2 weeks traveling and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Moscow down to Mineralnye Vody, Mt Elbrus, Ancient archeological sites and artifacts, Nalchik, the Memorial at Beslan, and Vladikavkaz. We traveled into Ingushetia along the restricted border zone with Georgia, visited multiple tower complexes, saw ancient sites of worship, then up to the Ingush capital of Magas, Nazran, and then on to our last stop in Grozny.
It was interesting and satisfying to find that the further we got into the regions that have travel warnings, the kinder and more hospitable the people were. Everywhere, delicious food was to be found in their shashlik (meat), the savory pies in North Ossetia, and the tasty pancakes whose types and flavors would change from republic to republic. I am completely satisfied with the bang for our buck. When I think back on the trip now, almost a year later, I remember the freshness of the Ingush mountain springs, the sound of the wind through the trees near Svyatilishche Rekom in North Ossetia-Alania, and the views of Mt Taylom as seen from what is perhaps the oldest temple in Russia, Tkhaba-Yerdy.
Back in Pyatigorsk, the banya experience was a refreshing break after all the sightseeing and car rides. Time in Moscow ended up being bookends to our trip and there was way more to do than our time could possibly allow. Throughout the trip, Andrew was always a phone call away. Anytime we had a question he was available and more than willing to help us have a great time.

Because of Beyond Red Square, tackled another Seven Summits worry free. Josh was very helpful and very engaging through out the whole process. They provided travel information about Russia, it's culture, and it's people so I didn't have to spend time doing my own research. I was pleasantly surprised with how good the accommodation and the food. Guides were also great. The trip was very organized and you really feel that the company cares about their clients. Money well spent. I definitely recommend and will surely use the company again!

The wonder of this beautiful North African nation was fully revealed to us via our Experience It Tours adventure. From the moment we met our guide Youssef in Casablanca we just knew we were in for something very special. This man was so full of knowledge and joy in relation to his country it was amazing,he was truely an encyclopaedia of the history and development of Morocco from the beginning of time.I doubt there was anything Youssef didn’t tell us,as to how his country had evolved over the millennia. The truely local experiences were the jewels that excited our senses as they were unlike anything we had encountered on holidays anywhere in the world previously.A couple of examples....Early morning Tea standing in the street opposite our hotel in Casablanca with the locals having their tea and donuts(freshly produced from pristine boiling oil)...the taste sensation was very special and the warmth and welcome of the local patrons was beyond inclusive....we were all neighbours together. The Barbecue at the local restaurants in villages away from the big cities was another unique experience.Fresh meat hanging on a hook next to the cooker and whatever you wanted cooking being shaved off the carcass and cooked before your very eyes...,this was right out of an episode of Anthony Bourdain.
The whole tour was a melting pot of experiences that ranged from the sea to the desert to the mountains. This was a gorgeous country with beautiful people and a rich history to relate. The contrast of the Médina ‘s in the major centres to newer areas with the French influences. The landscapes, the cuisine, the people and just the complete contrast to our daily routine in Australia, made the whole journey nothing less than unforgettable on every level.
In conclusion as an acknowledgement to the 21st century I should mention the Fast Train from Tangiers to Casablanca, what an amazing experience, which hopefully should bring more prosperity to a thoroughly deserving nation.
Thank you Youssef for showing us your country with such joy, warmth, knowledge and intimacy,it was a truely memorable experience which will live with us for the rest of our lives.

We saw everything that was to be seen except for one of the great crossings of the Mara which occurred two days after we left-I suppose you cant have everything in a defined time allotment- but we saw everything else including birds and and very small wild life that were not expected
Every day just got better and better and the photo-shots were amazing. Move over David Attenborough we saw and photographed it in wide vista vision, 3-D and reality!!!
HINT:- I used a Nikon D900 with its 2000 digital magnification and x5 optical zoom-- nothing else was needed- no great big telescopic lenses and very easy to use and handle

They were incredibly knowledgeable and very pleasant to spend time with. Beyond Red Square did a great job for us and I highly recommend their services.

We all agreed that we enjoyed our trip through Morocco better than any other vacation; we’ll have a lifetime of good memories to share.
We were hesitant to go to Morocco because we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and a high school graduation and didn’t want a stressful “have to figure everything out yourself” kind of trip.
We spoke with several tour companies but eventually chose “Experience It Tours” because of the Bethany’s wonderful customer service. She always made us feel welcome and cared for.
Our truly special driver was Rachid Mahaya Shakir. He became our dear friend & brother. We were very interested in learning some Arabic (Darija) while in country. When Rachid found out about our interest, he hand-wrote us a list of common Arabic phrases and that list grew as we asked Rachid how to say more and more things. He was happy to share his culture and language. We’ll always remember the smiles on the locals faces when we tried to speak to them in Darija. We would never have gotten further than a superficial understanding of Morocco had it not been for Rachid and Experience It Tours. He is kind, gentle, attentive and good-hearted. He did everything he could to help everyone in our family really enjoy their trip.
We shared our experiences in Morocco with our family and now they want to go!
We’ll book with Experience It Tours again.

Our 10-day Morocco tour was overall excellent. The itinerary (Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, Marrakech) was perfect for our first trip to Morocco. Our driver, Ali Ben Haddouch, was outstanding and the Mercedes van very comfortable. The local guides were consistently informative and helped make this a memorable experience. The hotels and riads (especially Riad Fes and Riad Kniza) you selected were uniformly beautiful, comfortable, efficient, and served superb meals. The only issue we ran into was that many of the dinner reservations that Experience "confirmed" for us either were never made or in one case the restaurant was actually closed. Fortunately, Ali was able to provide us with very capable assistance. We would highly recommend Experience It Tours to anyone.

My husband and I had a wonderful time in Morocco. The trip was well organized and we had a wonderful guide/driver, Ilyass Khalfaoui. He was intelligent, knowledgeable and an excellent driver. He treated us as his guests and made sure that everything went well for us. Your company booked us into lovely riads where we were very comfortable. The food inside the riads and at the restaurants Ilyass picked out for us was delicious. We would highly recommend your company to anyone traveling to Morocco. Judy and Tom Linkous

We loved our guide, Chakir. He was very helpful and tried to meet all of our needs. Finding a place to buy wine was a challenge, but he did it! The only negative of the trip is that there is a lot of driving - sometimes a whole day over very rough roads.

Josh and his crew at Beyond Red Square were awesome!!! They helped ease any anxiety as my friend Angie and I embarked to climb Mount Elbrus. With them on our side, climbing the mountain was made easy especially since they helped us navigate the "perils" of obtaining a Russian visa. Many thanks to our guide Sergei who urged us on all the way to the summit of Mount Elbrus. Thank you Josh for a very memorable experience!!!!!

Hands down, the best touring experience we've had.
Andrew worked tirelessly to build our custom itinerary, which included a guided climb of Mount Elbrus (the highest summit in Europe) followed by touring through St. Petersburg and Moscow. I think we gave them a tall order, with so many diverse requests (climbing, museums, overnight train, historical buildings, shopping, a brewery tour - to name a few). I'm sure it was difficult for the team to pack everything into our 15 day lineup, but their efforts were worth it.
We had done a few similar tour packages before, so we expected a few hiccups along the way, especially for such a complex journey that involved (at different times) 4 guides, 5 drivers, 4 hotels, and multiple transfers via airplane, snowmobile, chair lift, overnight train, boat, mountain gondola, subway and snow cat (seriously). The biggest problem of the entire trip was a 3 minute wait with our driver until our guide made it through extra-heavy traffic to meet us. But she called our driver, who put us on the phone, so she could talk to us directly until she was there.
The climb was difficult, even compared to Kilimanjaro, but we were in good hands with our primary guide Oleg and our second guide / driver Serg. Oleg had summited almost 100 times, and Serg many himself. Oleg kept tabs on the weather, and suggested an early 3 AM start based on a window of opportunity the next day. He was spot on - it was the best weather we had seen so far on the mountain, and we were climbers #3 & 4 to the summit that day. More climbers must have gotten the hint late, because we passed many on the way down.
Pre- and post-climb, we stayed at the Azau Star hotel, which was very clean, comfortable, and had an in-house restaurant and bar. Each night, they had dinner ready for us, and the food was always very good.
After the climb, Serg dropped us off to Min Vod airport, for our flight to St. Petersburg, where we met Helena for our tour there. She had a ton of knowledge about the museum collections, the palaces that house the museums, and the royal families who once lived there. The exhibits were great, but without her insight, we would simply have never appreciated what we were looking at. Since the artifacts are housed in the palaces, the exhibits tend to call attention to the pieces themselves. Helena was able to provide details of the architecture and decor as well, and explain how it fit into the lives of the royals, along with the works of art we were seeing. Seeing the Hermitage with her was definitely a highlight.
Same high recommendations for her tours of various cathedrals, the Palace of Peter and Paul, and other museums. I'll skip over those for brevity, but again, she really brought everything to life with her knowledge of history.
After St. Pete, Helena escorted us to the train station for our overnight first-class ride to Moscow, which was straight out of an Agatha Christie movie, except, of course for the murder mystery ;) The train was clean, comfortable, and the food was simple but good. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but we thought it would be a fun way to get to Moscow without more planes or cars, and we were right.
In Moscow, we met with Kira, who showed us around the city pointing out various important sites for both WWII and the 1991 Revolution. I grew up near Gettysburg, so visiting military monuments is nothing new to me. But when Kira pointed out a bridge where a tank was parked to coax the leadership out of a building during the Revolution, I instantly remembered a famous news photo from when the event actually happened. Maybe I'm just getting older, but that's the first time I felt so directly connected to a historical event.
Kira's tours of the Cosmonaut museum, Kremlin, and Red Square were equally enjoyable and informative. She was constantly able to make recommendations to small changes in the plans (i.e. let's eat lunch first) to avoid the huge crowds of tourists. Seeing all of these sites as just two tourists and one guide gave us tons of flexibility, letting us see more with less effort. One fun stop in Moscow was a personalized tour (and tasting) at Mosbrew, a brewery that is having a bit of a craft brew makeover. The two of us (and our guide) got a tour of the facility, met the master brewer, and had a tasting at the end. Lots of fun.
In the end, I have nothing but good things to say about the agency, the guides, and the trip in general. We've all heard the USA vs. Russia rhetoric, but once you land in Russia, you'll instantly recognize that it's more similar to the US than not. It's different enough to make it an interesting destination, but US travelers will be at ease with similar food options, familiar bathroom equipment, and a society that's much like our own. A few differences we did notice (and mostly loved)...
- The work day starts as late as 10 AM in the cities, so forget about getting an early jump on things. Most restaurants open at 8 or 9 for breakfast. Enjoy the leisurely pace.
- Moscow and St. Pete are much cleaner than any US city I've visited, and I've been to 42 states.
- Public transport can be navigated pretty easily via secondary English titles on all stops (airports and subways).
- Traffic in the cities can be heavy, so forget about driving. Walking is very efficient, since Russia implements "countdown" crosswalk lights, and even has well-lit, very clean tunnels under major roadways.
- Most hotels and restaurants have someone on staff who can speak enough English to help you out. In the rare occasions where we were at a loss (a convenience store) the owner figured out we were trying to buy ice cream after a round of pointing, and gesturing. It's well accepted if you don't speak Russian, as long as you're patient and polite.
I'll definitely be going back, and taking the wife and kids next time. After the flight, in-country expenses are about 60% of what you'd spend in the US. 4 star hotels are $120, and multi-course dinners can be had for $60, for 2 people. The only drawback is the flight time (about 10 hours from the Eastern US).
In summary, I'm pretty surprised that Andrew's team was able to pull off such a complex trip with zero problems. At every step of the way, our guide or driver was exactly where they were supposed to be, with tickets in hand, ready to start the next adventure.
100% satisfied, and in love with Russia.

The Ryads were spectacular as were the individual guides in each city. I can't say which city or activity I liked best because they were all phenomenal and I want to go back! Truly was an amazing experience and everything was set up professionally and perfectly but with a very individual and custom style.

Great and very affordable service. This June we traveled from Colorado to Russia in order to climb Mount Elbrus, Europe's tallest mountain, and used Beyond Red Square (Experience It Tours' Russian affiliate) to book our trip and make arrangements for us. Andrew and all the team at Beyond Red Square provided excellent service at all times, from ensuring that we had the best guides, accommodations, food, and all other particulars for our trip to Russia. They were very responsive at all times and arranged for us to have very experienced and friendly guides who were perfectly fluent in English and who were extremely professional throughout the trip. Beyond Red Square also assisted us with the process of getting our Russian tourist visas, which went very smoothly. After all the great support, we then summited Mount Elbrus on June 19th! I would definitely recommend using Beyond Red Square to anyone interested in making travel arrangements for travel in Russia. Additionally, because they are a smaller company, the price we paid was noticeably lower than other guide company options we looked at. I would use their services again.
