Ref M-25531862 the hotel we arrived at in cocoa beach was a building site, no area for relaxing and the room was smelly. The pool was under renovation and the area was safety netted. Not fit to be open, they were surprised we were not informed. If we had been we would have cancelled.

Awful company. Avoid. I booked, believing I could cancel, after paying extra for cancellation. I was completely misled. I spent £1800 and after cancellation I’ve received practically nothing. They will sell my flight and accommodation to someone else for a much higher price. Opportunism pure an simple. It’s almost criminal. Almost!

Appalling Customer Service. I have a holiday booked with Expedia through Thomas Cook. As the flights are with another airline, I need to know if my holiday is still valid. I submitted 2 requests for information and was told I would get a reply within 48hours, still no reply. I also phoned several times and was told that as I booked it with Thomas Cook I need to contact them even though the company has ceased trading. My Atol certificate states that Expedia are the Company that my holiday is booked with but Expedia will not help me at all, they will not discuss my booking with me.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!
I rang yesterday to try and change my hotel booking as thomas cook had gone pop and i needed to try and change my airport hotel which thomas cook booked. Id spoke to said hotel and they said they didnt have a problem changing it but i needed to get expedia to change it. So i spoke to expedian who told me the hotel had said no which i queried as id spoke to them even gave them the girls name id spoke to. He put me on hold then proceeded to say they couldnt do it but would process a refund i gave him all my details
for the refund too GREAT so i thought. Iv then opened my emails today to one that says i wont be getting a refund very confusing so iv rang again today a gentleman who looked at my booking put me through to someone who said they couldnt see my booking what a joke when the gentleman had just been into it.

Today customer services were phoned to confirm a hotel booking with expedia using thomas cook as intermediaries..phoned about 14.15 call was answered within moments ..spoke with advisor who was very helpful and phoned hotel booked whilst I was on hold for about minute ..he was able to confirm the booking still valid - efficient service received today - thank you

I am leaving this review because of my frustration with hotels.com. Expedia is the owner of hotels.com but does not take responsibility for their rip off and customer ignorance. So they deserve a bad review. Avoid them both, so they learn how to treat customers.

After the demise of Thomas cook I was happy to find they had just acted as an agent for Expedia. It turned out the holiday to South Africa was still valid and the guys at the call centre rang round the airline and hotel and made my day by confirming all was good. Later we realised one of the names on the tickets was wrong so I rang them back and again they sorted it without fuss. I can only tell what I see but from my point of view excellent customer service considering my booking was made with a company that has gone under.

Firstly, where do I start, I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy, I wouldn’t stay there again if they paid me.
1. When the booking was made I sent numerous emails and made numerous phone calls to have my booking reference sent to me I’m still waiting for that and my stay is over, I did have one when I arrived and that was only because the bride had to ring and they sent it to her not even me.
2. When I was checking in I was being charged a different price to what was on my booking and in the 3 days I was there I was given 4 different prices, and told that the actually booking confirmation I had was wrong why did they send it then, they took 50 pound off my card as a holding fee which I understand some hotels do but I was not even informed they were doing this, then on the day of checkout after many heated conversations they tried to take payment off my card while I wasn’t even at reception I was still in the room and rang up to tell me they couldn’t take the money, I cleared my card cause I knew they would try this without my permission
3. The 50 pound they took as a holding fee I was told they would refund it within 3 working days its know been 9 days and still have not received it I have rang the hotel numerous times and they said they are dealing with it that’s a joke, I asked them to call me with an update and I was told they could not ring outside wales really a hotel that take booking from around the world can only ring within wales, so I was told they would email me still waiting for those emails. I then rang millennium head office they were as much of a joke they kept wanting to put me back onto the hotel and didn’t have a clue who in HEAD OFFICE could deal with this hello do you not have a customer service I was also told by them I would get a call back I’m still waiting.
4. Know come a list of all the things wrong with this joke of a hotel
5. Rude staff, mainly bar staff
6. Fridge was broken
7. Telly was broken
8. Lights didn’t not work one of the nights
9. Shower leaked
10. Breakfast if you could call it that cold and swimming in grease disgusting
11. Drinks at bar few people were drinking same drink after talking we realised, we were all being charged different prices
12. A guest had brought his own drink as he is gluten intolerant and was paying corkage the bar staff sold some of this to other customers
13. Another guest was resting in her room and maintenance came in without knocking and when they seen her said oh sorry, I didn’t know this room was taken gave no reason why he was there as nothing was reporting wrong in the room do maintenance and reception not communicate
14. Another guest had to check in and check out and check in again to the same room over a 3 day period as they made a mistake and made it as two separate bookings and said they had no way to conjoin the booking said guest works for a big hotel branch and even he can do this from his head office
15. To be honest I could go on and on how disgraceful of an experience we had here but I think I have said alot

Please be very careful if considering using this company they are thoroughly dishonourable. I have lost a holiday that I had saved for for my 70th birthday. Their website was faulty I tried to book a flight with them for two hours but the site kept crashing in the end I got as far as my debit card details and then heard no more no acknowledgement of any money and no E ticket. unable to phone I gave it 24 hours and still no acknowledgement. I had to catch the same flight as the rest of the party so I then went ahead and booked direct with BA received e ticket flight details straight away. Checked my bank account again 4 days later Expedia had not taken any money so assumed their booking had not gone through I was then away and unable to access my bank account for a week. I then findd Expedia have taken £700 from my account no ticket and for the last month have been trying to get the money returned I now have 2 tickets I cannot afford to pay for the rest of the holiday without this money so have not only lost out on the trip but lost a deposit of £1200 and the money for 2 tickets. They get away with it because they are a huge company and would cost me more than the tickets to employ a solicitor. They are absolute crooks

I've booked a hotel made the payment and at the hotel I was told my payment wasn't processed therefore they gave my room to someone else,I had to find another hotel,I paid for that as well,when I asked who gives my money back the hotel says I was never there,the agents says they made the payment.This was my holiday being pregnant and making complaints over complaints in order to solve nothing.

Do not book Emirates business class flights with this company if you want to use business class lounges. Checked in at Manchester today (flight to Singapore via Dubai) and have been refused entry to the Emirates lounges in both airports as the ticket booked through Expedia is a ‘cheap business class ticket’ (Emirates words, not mine) and does not include lounge use. THIS WAS NOT MADE CLEAR AT THE TIME OF BOOKING. Hope the life vest under my seat is in the deal. Book direct with the airline and avoid this lot.

So the Sofitel where we were staying the night before our flight At LHR said I would have to contact Expedia but even though it is 22 days before the date that I booked so plenty of time got the hotel to rebook Expedia Will Not Give a Refund Of £207? Just had probably the best Hotel deal ill ever get with FREE cancellation i decided too change my room type so booked again cancelled my other room had a FULL REFUND on my other room in under 48 hours no questions asked didn't even have too call them absolutely amazing service & the best prices they literally beat everyone else by miles just keep a look every day they do drop the best deals you just need too be quick.

So, let me tell you that when I first saw the reviews on this website about the company I just booked a package from, I literally started to panic. I had booked a flight from Paris to Rhodes (Grece) and a really nice all-inclusive resort with it for a really good price. I was expecting the worst... "My reservation at the hotel is probably going to be canceled or I will not going to be able to board my plane...". Since I'm like one of the most paranoid people on this planet, I decided to call the hotel myself to see if my booking had been confirmed there (even if the email Expedia sent me said that I didn't need to). The receptionist there told me that my booking was indeed confirmed at their level. After that, I started to wonder if the fact that I paid in Euro was going to be a problem (since the prices on the website were in pounds). Turned out that it wasn't an issue at all, they took the exact equivalent after we checked out. So yeah, my experience with Expedia was actually really good and me and my family had an amazing vacation. Guess I am special...

I may be in the minority but today Expedia were excellent. I had tried for days to book flights from Japan to England but each time the transaction wouldn't process. I contacted their Customer Services and at first they had the same problem as me. Then, with perseverance, and after emptying the cache and deleting cookies, they found the flights I wanted, and they then turned out to be cheaper than advertised. Brilliant.

I booked a hotel for my holiday through Expedia, the payment left my account and I received confirmation.
Upon arriving at the hotel (after an early morning flight and an hour transfer) i was not booked into the hotel. After showing various confirmations to the hotel staff i decided to call Expedia as not only was the situation frustrating it was also extremely embarrassing.
I was on the phone with Expedia for approximately an hour (for the majority of the time i was kept on hold) trying to resolve the issue.
So after setting out early to catch a flight and travelling an hour on the roads to reach my destination i was then in the reception of an hotel for over an hour (in total) all because Expedia failed to liaise correctly with 3rd parties and the hotel to ensure the transaction was adequately completed.
To add insult to injury i didn't even receive an apology or explanation from Expedia hence the title of this review.
Very disappointed with Expedia, was my second time using them following a recommendation and definitely feel like it will be my last. I’m soon going to need to book accommodation again for another trip and i’m certainly going to check competitors availability before considering using Expedia again.

Expedia let someone change my return flights by 2 days.. I received a change email and rung to query this.. They afmitted I didn't change it and the number associated with my account had been changed.. And said the cards details used weren't mine.. But still charged me 200 to change it back.. I'll never use expedia again!!!

I booked a flight ticket with Expedia, I had a serious health problem. Got in touch with them and provided evidence prior to the flight. Eventhough this was the case its over 2 months now, Expedia still back and forth and I still didnt receive refund eventhough I agreed with the airline myself and got an authorisation and passed this to Expedia. This company is like a joke. I will take away my flight bookings!

I have just spent over an hour on the telephone to an amazing man from Customer Services called Mishal.
He has genuinely restored my faith in humanity and I cannot praise his service this evening enough.
I had an issue with my booking. After explaining my concerns etc to him, he truly went more than an extra mile to do everything in his power to help me with my problem. I cannot thank him and all the team involved tonight enough.
I can genuinely say that this is the BEST customer service that I have EVER received from any company.

I booked the london pass for 2 people 1 day from expedia but via hotels.com of which i received a confirmation email.
When arriving to the desk in London where you can pick up the online ordered passes (after standing in line for 1 hour (no queue for people who wants to buy it but very long for the ones who already did)), i was told that i need the voucher not the confirmation email. However when clicking on the link to see the vouchers, the only option was to type my ail and get it sent. Nothing happened... (furthermore, why dont they just give you the voucher from the beginning???)
so i had to call customer service (apperently the london pass lady had had a similar situation the day before). After more than 50 mins on the phone talking with different people and departments in both hotels.com and Expedia, where nobody could access my voucher and send it to me, but they could all see i booked and paid. I asked for a refund. This resulted in that i now had to buy my passes at the desk for a total extra price of 42£...

Dont use Expedia if you want service!
Im hitting every site I can. Search prices on expedia, then book direct, its the only way you can have better certainty of your travel experience. Expedia offers 0 after sale service, it has deteriorated over the years and has allowed poor suppliers on their dbase.
We arrived in Italy and were ripped off by Goldcar/Rhodum and Expedia has done nothing about it except they said they will try to contact the car rental company. That was 2 weeks ago and they continue to say they cant do much about it!
