I've always had a positive experience with Eurotunnel. Even when there have been delays they always seem to be helpful and try to get you moving. The only down side are the toilets on the train they are never very clean so I avoid them completely.

Simple, smooth experience. Pleasant, helpful check in staff on both sides. So much easier than flying, and less hassle than boarding a ferry.

Easy, and simple, the best way to cross the Chanel.

Good efficient service..need to work on speeding up the passport control and security checks during summer months..queues are always really bad and we’ve been using eurotunnel for over 10years..

Easy to book the journey.
Helpful warnings about M20 road closures beforehand.
Offered an earlier crossing coming back which we appreciated.
All ran so smoothly despite being one of the busiest times of the year.

On outward and inward journeys the check in was smooth and trouble free. Going out we were offered an earlier slot which made quite a difference to us. We had time for a convenience break both ways, staff were efficient and friendly. Hope the political situation will not impede travel in the future.

Such a smooth journey to and back from France. First time through tunnel but certainly not the last. Great experience.

Love the idea of fast crossing etc. Eurotunnel very efficient But passport control queues suck!

We've used Eurotunnel many times.Service varies from excellent to appalling. It's the luck of the draw as to what happens on each journey. The infrastructure struggles to cope at peak times, if one train breaks down, it causes chaos for hours afterwards. Customs can cause major delays through understaffing or over zealous staff. I'll still use the service but it could be improved endlessly.

I wouldn't travel to France any other way.

I booked a timed ticket outward and Flexiplus for my return with Max my dog. Outbound I was offered an earlier journey at no extra cost and drove straight on to the Shuttle with no waiting. For my return I was delayed by traffic in France but the Pet check-in was quick and efficient and for boarding, in spite of many vehicles waiting to board, I drove straight through(apart from UK Border Control ! ) and on to a waiting Shuttle. Both journeys were smooth and quick....a good start and end to our holiday.

I have been using the shuttle for several years. It is by far the best means of crossing the Channel. The queuing is well managed on both sides, and I have never had any real problems.
The actual crossing only takes 35 minutes compared to 1 1/2 hours on the ferry. Next best used to be 45 minutes on the car-carrying planes between Southend and Ostend.
Security, although necessary, is swift and efficient. Crossings can be booked for times convenient to me, and on the rare occasions I have been late I have been accommodated on the next train without any fuss.

First time on the euro tunnel from the check in, the waiting area, train was top class experience. Train was on time. Will not go on a ferry again if I can help it.

FlexiPlus was exceptional this summer. No queues. Great service. Seamless and would recommend to anyone.

Busy periods can be nightmares. Lavatories are often inadequately serviced given the number of passengers using them, and refreshment outlets are sometimes understaffed and unable to cope. It ought to be possible to forecast probable numbers and make necessary arrangements better to manage traffic and travellers' needs. In trains there should be signs exhorting respectful silence on the part of travellers and on-board crew (the latter tend to hold loud and lengthy conversations in carriages with little regard for travellers hoping for a reinvigorating nap en route).

Been using Eurotunnel every year since the early 2000's. Never had any issues. Prompt, efficient service. Would not travel any other way when visiting Europe. The only delays we have encountered, and they have only been slight is when returning to the UK. This is purely because the French checking in system is completed on arrival for everyone including passport control, where in England you check in, then go through passport control for each train called. That is my only criticism Usually on arrival, we are offered an earlier train than the one we booked. Thank you Eurotunnel,

Fantastic service missed our departure due to breakdown. I called them within 24 hrs after missed departure time they rebooked for future date for only the increase in ticket price. Will use them again

Took just 35 mins to cross on our recent Europe trip. Not many queues either which was good. A bit cramped but all in all a good experience.

Great that no holdups once across the channel as all checks are done before boarding a shuttle. However sometimes border control in France is very slow moving.

You charged me because I was stocked in traffic and it wasn't my faults for being late.

Disabled assistance is a bit hit and miss, although Geoff in the contact centre is very nice.
They could do a lot more.
Eg no toilets by disabled pre train queue on French side and bad surface to toilets on British side.
Train staff not really able to assist disabled passengers.
No one checks your ok, despite needing it.
Lots more small details around accessibility
