Here's the summary if you don't want to read all the drama:
They took my money without permission, I didnt benefit from the classes, please AVOID this "school" if you can help it!!! Its in your best interest NOT to risk it!
I pay the enrollment fee, $150, have to wait a month to actually START the classes, after the first class, I realize that this isn't for me, the level is WAY too low to be a Level 4 (classmates not even knowing how to read basic hebrew), the teaching style is very rigid and technical.
I call to cancel, but they persuade and push for me to just try a higher level. Another fee for this: $50 to hold my spot or smthing like that. I wait another MONTH to start classes of a higher level, I try out the first class, get charged my first installment of payment $116.50, I still don't like it, I call them to get a full refund, because I'm not enjoying the classes.
They refuse to give me a refund, I fight for my refund but they simply refuse saying their policy only provides a full refund if you cancel by the first class to which I tell them that I DID TRY TO CANCEL after the FIRST class and that the customer service person pushed me to try a higher level, NOT telling me I wouldn't get a refund if I tried that class and didn't want to continue!
They simply refuse to refund me.
The day after the phone call I get a bank notification that $582.50 has been charged to my account from the Rosen School. AFTER ASKING FOR A REFUND, they CHARGED ME THE REST OF THE "TUITION" COST, A TOTAL OF $582.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I immediately call them as soon as I found out and tell them that I did not authorize any such transaction (I agreed to pay in installments over the 7 months of class).
They REFUSE to return the money, and discontinue all contact. At this point it had been around three months of back and forth and fighting to get my money back and trying to get a quality learning experience, so I gave up.
In total (I referenced my bank statements)
I was charged:
A GRAND TOTAL OF $899 for approximately 2 CLASSES
The classes themselves are taught through a skype/zoom/facetime style of call, the teacher in the corner reviews slides of information, teaching grammar rules, and very technical aspects of hebrew.
This type of learning is really structural and not intuitive at all. It's hard as it is with the only setting but the information is not easy to absorb in any case.
Additionally, if you hold a day job (like I do) you'll likely be taking this class in the evening, which means your teacher, in Israel will likely be 7/8/9 hours ahead of you ie: teaching in the middle of the night for him/her. SO, the teacher will likely be half-asleep at best (as was my experience).
I did try to attend two more classes after this whole thing, because they had already charged me anyway so I might as well see if I can gain anything BUT ALAS the classes were so BAD and SLOW and TECHNICAL that it was impossible to focus and really learn.
JUST AVOID, ITS REALLY *******NOT***** WORTH IT!

I was registered for Biblical Hebrew C and I got schedule problem before the class started, They said they will resolve the issue in the feature. I have been calling the to rearrange the class for me but each time I call, their customer service agent says someone will will call you back soon but no one tried to call me back. They do not care for their students.

So after paying them around 2500 CAD, all I got was a link for an etextbook that doesn't work, and the person that I had talked on the phone and that had emailed me suddenly disappears. After 6 days of trying to reach them, I finally get the response that they have a "technical issue" and that they can't contact me as a result! I request a refund (their "contract" says that you are entitled to a full refund within 7 days of registering), but they respond by telling me that they can't contact me because they have a "technical issue". They tell me to email them later the following week for a refund request (in other words, when it would be too late for a full refund). And after telling them this is unacceptable, they block me so that I can't email them anymore.
So the only thing I got for all this money was some guy contacting me to tell me he can't contact me because of technical issues. Also, I was emailing and talking to these guys when it was around midnight on Saturday in Israel, so they're obviously not a legitimate business (who works midnights or responds to emails at 4 am on the weekend?).
Have filed a fraud claim against them. Definitely stay away and report them. I only wish I had thought of looking at the reviews here beforehand.

Posting an update to my original review. After multiple lengthy conversations where eTeacher tried repeatedly to up-sell me to a variety of things I specifically said I didn't want, I told them I was filing a claim with my credit card company and would no longer accept their phone calls. I blocked them on my phone, turned off my credit card as they had told me they were still going to take the 2nd installment from my account, and filed a dispute. After all that drama, they sent me an email saying they would refund my money. I am happy I got the refund, but the amount of time and energy this took was absurd. This is a hard sell organization focused on enrollment and collection. I didn't take the class, but I suppose if they are as tenacious about helping you learn the language as they are on selling the course and keeping your money, you're in good hands.

They steal your money, do not get in touch, and do not give refunds. They are a COMPLETE SCAM. I do NOT recommend using them.

I called to sign up for a class beginning in late March. That class was full, but there was one opening in a class starting three days from the phone call. I signed up, but reconsidered that evening and asked to cancel. Because the cancellation was less than three days before the class began, they wanted to rebate me only $200 on approximately $800 for the class. There is nothing on their website stating their refund policy, and you do not get a copy of the contract until after you have paid and registered. I was past the full rebate period before they ever disclosed the rebate period. I have been on the phone multiple times but missed a call from them three days ago and have not heard back. I am filing dispute resolution with my credit card company but am extremely angry about this situation. They need to post their policies on their website and not book that close to the class date without disclosing. I could not be more unhappy, as I have now paid the full price for the class and cannot get anyone to call me back.

Careful. They will charge your card without consent and steal and you will not be able to cancel. You are not even able to take a card off the account---there is no way to remove --- that is how shady this company is. Please look and heed the other reviews.

I had a big problem with Rosen School of Hebrew (formerly eteacherHebrew.com) when I cancelled my study after 1,5 lessons: their cancellation fee was accomplishing the payment for the whole amount for the complete level. So I paid unwillingly for the whole level even after only 1,5 lessons. But when I complied very strongly, they found a good solution, which made me satisfied. So I can express my positive experience with them now in total I learned there a lot in a good way I finished there four levels this was the begin of the fifth.

I signed up for Rosen School of Hebrew which was formerly E teacher. All was well until I missed a class. One thing I liked about them was the 24 hour customer support and the fact lessons can be downloaded. Well. After missing the class I was unable to download lesson. I called customer support and was informed that since I have a mac she was unable to help. I asked to speak to someone else she said no. I asked to speak to a supevier, again she said no. I waited a few hours to see if i could speak to another customer service rep and the phone was not answered. after hours i suppose. Needles to say i asked for a refund and was told no since the lessons already started. I still cannot download my lessons but they don't seem to care since my credit card is on file ...i would not recommend as the customer care is horrible and they refund policy, even if they breach contract on their end, is not worth the risk.

Since 2011 I was thinking and planning to start to learn Hebrew. Happens that my first daughter born and I had to change plans, for good of course. So, finally, this year, on 16th September I decided to enroll in this course. I'm from Brazil, but the course is online and provided by an Israeli company. The sales pitch from the attendant was perfect, explained to me that, because of the Rosh Hashanah, I would have a 70% scholarship on the course. I subscribed to the course and the deal was an enrollment payment plus 7 payments in a total amount of R$1200 (one thousand two hundred Brazilian reais - something like $300 USD). But the dream becomes a nightmare. When I made my access to the online dashboard to check the course, the course I was on was not the one with Live Teacher, but a self-paced course. I contacted them and explained that I understood that I was buying the course with a live teacher. This happened on the next day, less than 24 hours. They said they would listen to the conversations and would give me a reply ASAP. 11 days since that talk and today they decided that I bought the right course, and, if I desire to cancel, they would retain 30% of the full amount "because I was canceling after 24 hours". This is more than disrespectful. The delay of 11 days to answer me benefits the company? Shame. Disappointed and frustrated with something that should have been a great experience.

An excellent course composed of a superior quality of teachers interested in the student truly learning, in addition to this they have a platform with a good audio and video system and perfectly prepared and personalized classes. Very satisfied, they have exceeded my expectations!

It's hard to find classes for level after beginner in my city, so I am very appreciative that Rosen school has this option. Online is very convenient time-wise.

Rosen School of Hebrew (Formerly eteacherHebrew.com) have found out a smart way how they let you pay a full price for a semester (824 Euro) even if you will get nothing from them. Consider: They let me pay the full semester (824 Euro) even when I cancelled my study after 1,5 teaching hour 8 days from the 1stlesson). But it was only partly a personal fault of David Maurice from their Customer Care Team, who did it, even if according their system he had to pay me back 10% refund (82,40 Euro this is my right when I cancel up to 10 days after the 1st scheduled lesson). Their cancellation refund system is so (you can check it here: https://legal.eteachergroup.com/legal/terms/course/ ), that even if you find out, that you do not like their teaching system even on their very first lesson, you get back only 10% (82,40 Euro) of the full price of the curse you pay 741,60 Euro for nothing, only because you trust them. I did not get back even this 10%. They took from my credit card the rest of the full semester price as a cancellation fee.
In Europe we have a law, that when you buy something by internet or by phone, you can return it without payment and explanation even after 14 days of use. This is a fair protection of the customer. Not here. You have no chance to check the real condition in the group before the first lesson. But after the first lesson you have to pay them 90% or even 100% (my case) of the fee for the full semester. In my case it was after 1,5 teaching hour 824 Euro. Is that fair? Do you like it? Me not!!!

I joined Eteacher/Rosen School of Hebrew with high hopes. was told they had 24 hour customer service and recorded lessons in case you miss a weekly lesson. I missed a lesson and soon found out that is not the case. I use a Mac and the customer service rep said she was unable to help with mac. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told no.
someone called and sent lessons via email and told me this would not happen again...guess what it did..
i again could not download lesson, rep was unable to help, asked to speak with a supervisor and again told no.i have spend 1000's of dollars and they only care about the money. shame as i had high hopes. I would not recommend anyone pay this company.
they will respond saying this is not acceptable we will call you to fix it..all talk!

Worst class I've ever taken. I was insanely disappointed and they refused to give me any money back. Was 3000+ sheckels and I didn't learn a thing even in the hardest level class. I spent 75% of each lesson listening to low level students trying to get through their sentences, and reading religious texts. I am still so angry and want my money back, but I know I will never get it.

After having the most hideous experience with this company 10 years ago where they managed to get out a few hundred dollars from my card but actually tried more but my card was already maxed out, I see they are still going strong and up to their old tricks. A formula that has worked well for them. One of the ways they scam you is by sending you out samples but when you sign for them, then they can say to the bank that this was a purchase and hence the charge.
Today I received an email from another company in Israel trying to sell stuff and I wonder if they sold my email address too.

I would do zero stars if I could. I paid $1600 in tuition over a period of 3 months waiting for a teacher to contact me about classes. I was never assigned a teacher, and after a few more weeks of calling I finally got ahold of them to request a refund. They denied my refund request, and after multiple calls they supposedly approved a $1200 refund and said it would arrive after 3 weeks. When it didn't arrive, I called back multiple times and they won't answer my calls.

They will follow you with offers ( some of that offers fake ) and they will be decent till they get your credit card details , after that no reply , they take money from your bank account without your permission , they will say they will call you and they will never do that , they will ignore any messages from you to help , they do not respect their policy, no notifications if they cancel classes , and never give you money if they take it , they will send you Email to threaten you to give them money of classes that you do not take
escape and block them

Listen - You are thinking about taking biblical or modern Hebrew...these guys are almost a scam. They offer classes and they are going to reach out to you over and over again when they sense they have a fish on the line. However as soon as you have a problem, there will not be anybody at the phone. You will be dialing in the middle of Beersheba in a well somewhere because no-one will ever answer the line again. They steal money, they are fraudulent, they use switch and Bait tactics, they are dishonest, they will lie to the credit card company, they will falsify any documentation they can make up and I dare you to try and find them in Israel somewhere. You cannot be warned more. You may think you have gotten a decent deal because they will negotiate and negotiate to give you a "good deal", but this is buyer beware!!!!!

There is no justice. At the first chance they get you will be ripped off. Once they lay hold of your money forget the refund because you won't get it. They do not comply the rules. They are lawless, arrogant. They set themselves on a pedestal and looked down on non Jewish. They are Khazarians from central and eastern Europe. They are deceptive. Aggressive telemarketers.

I wanted to cancel my learning costing me £317/ month for 4 lessons.
Then I faced the team member that told me Eteacher will refund me £119.
1 hour after saying this to me the same member told me the refund is not makable and cancellation fees will be £399.
I said I dont want them to take any further money from my account and he said sorry but this needs to be done after the call ended, I checked my account and the money was gone already. Eteacher took 5 paiements of £20, £30 etc to reach £399. My bank is on its way!!!! Im furious!!!!
