I live in Alabama and Essential Watches is in California. I've never purchased an expensive watch from such a great distance over the phone, and I was a bit apprehensive at first. Irene and Seth were great to work with and they crossed all the T's and dotted all the I's for me to give me great confidence in purchasing from them. They found the exact limited edition watch I had been looking for and gave me a great price on it. It is new in the box with all the correct documentation and extras. I have just received it overnight from FEDEX and let me tell you all....IT IS BEAUTIFUL! I am overjoyed. Thanks Irene and Seth for doing exactly what you said you would and delivering the watch I have been searching for. I WILL DEFINITELY BUY FROM ESSENTIAL WATCHES AGAIN AND HOPE YOU DO TOO.

I called Essential Watches concerning my desire to purchase a particular chronometer made by Omega. This particular one was becoming hard to find and I had a hunch that Essential Watches could come through on finding one for me. Almost immediately the chronometer was found because of their ability and their tenure in the Watch Business. My order was processed without any difficulty and all communication between me and Essential Watches went flawlessly and the shipping accommodations were perfect! I got the chronometer I was searching for and I can't thank Essential Watches enough for the tremendous work that they did for me. I would most certainly recommend Essential Watches to anyone concerning the purchase of any watch. They are that good.

You can depend on the timing and description of the Watch. In my case a gold case Breitling. Just excellent.

I purchased a brand beautiful new watch but discovered flaws when I received it. The seller offered to fix the problem immediately.
It would have been better if the watch was flawless in the first place.

I was told the watch was sent back to the manufacturer in Switzerland. Three months later I received the "fixed" watch but new set of flaws was introduced in the fix. Seller saw them immediately after I pointed them out. I do wish the seller examined the watch and resolved the problem before asking me to come in to pick up a flawed fix.

For the second fix, the seller explained to me that they are a middle man between the authorized dealer and myself and I should take this problem up with the authorized dealer directly, since their profit margin was so low it was not worth for them to be involved and I would probably resolve it faster myself.

From my point of view that is a terrible customer experience. As a customer, if I buy a watch from you that you guarantee, take care of the problem and make customer happy. This is just a good business practice 101.

I followed up with the authorized dealer, who put me in touch with the authorized repair shop in US. Spent more money shipping the watch, waited another 3 months to get it back and finally I have my "new" watch.

So yes, I'm happy with the watch now but would think twice about making another big purchase on the phone, given my experience.

The seller never followed up to find out what happened to my watch.

When browsing the website I found a watch that I wanted to buy. Since I live overseas when I contacted them I had to transfer a down payment so that they would hold the watch for me. I duly did so.
Before I left my country to fly to the US to pick up the watch myself (since it is quite expensive it is too risky for international shipment) I notified the store that I would be coming. They gave an acknowledgement and confirmed that I can take the watch after settling the rest of the payment on my arrival. To my surprise and dismay when I got there the watch is not available since they said there was a mixup and it is still somewhere in NY and had to be sent to LA! They said that it should be no problem and that it will be FedEx'ed overnight. When I arrived again the day after it turned out that the watch I wanted to buy was not included in the FedEx package that arrived! I was perplexed beyond anger! What incompentence!
Since I was only for 2 days in LA I had to fly back to where I live. Imagine flying half way across the world only to come back empty handed.
The review should have been one star (extremely poor), but not long after that an associate of the store incidentally had to visit my country and the store staff asked him to bring the watch along to give to me. Finally I got the watch but it didn't come with the original box and since it is a Limited Edition watch the box is very valuable in itself. In the end I got the watch that I was looking for but the whole experience was very unpleasant, exhaustive and a waste of a lot of time and money.

Irina was awesome and found the perfect watch to give my wife on our 20th Anniversary. Although it had some mechanical problems Essential honored their guarantee/warranty and repaired the watch free of charge. It's been 7 months and the watch runs and looks great. Best of all my wife loves the Frank Mueller bankers watch!!!

Essential gave me a fair price on my trade in and provided a watch I desired that was in pristine condition! Will definitely work with them in the future! They are great to deal with and followed through on everything we agreed to!
