Customer service has been diabolical in dealing with a problem occurring with my ERider 15 bike after taking possession of it 2 weeks previous!
Such a shame!

Bike arrived fine and in full working condition however the paperwork included with the bike for DVLA registration was incorrect.
This has now created a situation where my application has been rejected and now I'm having to reapply. It's now been almost six weeks since the bike arrived and I've still not rode it. Effectively paying £100 this month to let the bike sit in my garage and gather dust.
Not too happy considering registration of the bike has to be done on my end, for me to do everything correctly and then it's erider that's made the mistake...

I FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE RIPPED ME OFF
When i had my bike it came damaged and with screws missing. When i returned the bike and asked for my £250 deposit back they said deposits are non-refundable.
As it came damaged and with screws missing any descant company would have refund me the £250 deposit.

I haven't received the bike yet, the company are kindly keeping it for me til nearer Christmas, it's a surprise & I lack storage to keep it hidden. For customer service I can't fault them, they've gone above & beyond for me. I will update once we have the bike & can give an honest review. 5 stars for helpfulness though!

Buying and owning a new bike should be a relatively trouble free experience with good back up and customer service.
Unfortunately that is not what you get from Ken at E-Rider LTD.
The E-Rider model 30 city moped I purchased was a year old when I bought it with a wobbling rear wheel, faulty wiring, leaking forks, bad welds especially on the swing arm, loose seat and missing fittings coupled to a range of seven miles on a full charge and struggled to go up slopes well within quoted specs.
The faults were verified by an independent inspection report that I paid for.
Ken's solution was to first send out a replacement charger, then a battery when that did not cure the initial range issue. Then when I told them it still had a range issue I was advised that they don't guarantee range and the figures that they quote are from the manufacturer and are meaningless.
I was also told to stop communication via email and Ken would be arranging a pickup of the battery and charger. This never happened.
This dismissive attitude coupled with a blog post on the 23rd Dec 2018 prompted me to start a simple procedure to recover my loss in buying my moped.
In the initial response, on the defendant response form, Ken claimed that I was refusing to send back his battery and charger in an effort to have the case thrown out because there was a dispute.
Two attempts at mediation were made. First time Ken had to be out of the country at very short notice, the second time was a complete waste of time. Eventually we both had to attend a case management hearing which involved presenting both our evidence backing up our claims. Ken didn't bother submitting evidence or appearing in court to defend the action and lost by default.
I then issued a statuary debt notice in an effort to give E-Rider LTD one last chance to settle.
Ken does not understand what a compensation order is or how a statuary debt notice works.
I spent two and a half weeks trying to get Ken to comprehend that a settlement is not on his terms and conditions. He even went as far as paying me £852.03 via PayPal with the condition that I hand back the moped with the implied conditions that I would pay for the uplift and Ken would decide what I was getting in settlement. I declined his offer and returned the payment immediately.
This had dragged on for nine months at this point. So in order to finally deal with this matter once and for all I was prepared to lodge a winding up petition. I even went as far as sending Ken a photo of said petition. That got a reaction having tried to phone twice but Ken was unavailable.
Tim the other director phoned to complain that I had been rude to Ken and he would no longer be responding to emails or answering calls. I was also told that they would only settle if I signed an agreement that the £1552.03 to be paid was a full and final settlement. I rejected that offer. The reason why I rejected that offer was because I had additional losses and expenses arising from the court action, inability to use the moped and time spent dealing with Ken.
It took until 9.53am on the day I was going to present the winding up petition in London, when I was on a train to London, from Glasgow, for Ken to pay. No phone call, no apology just a payment. He still owes further expenses and losses due to dragging the whole thing out for nine months.
In dealing with Ken on this platform he has been economical with the truth and very rude. Going as far as calling me an 'awkward deranged lying insane i-diot', for which he was meant to apologise for but hasn't.
All in all don't buy from E-Rider LTD you'll regret it.
For anyone who bought a bike on finance.
If you don't have any joy with Ken then lodge a formal complaint with the FCA for E-Rider leasing ltd, that's Ken's vehicle for leasing his bikes and provide a copy of the lease agreement.
If you have bought a defective vehicle from E-Rider LTD and it's not leased then do not be deterred from lodging a small claims if he won't refund you. If you are on a low income their is a court fee waiver and citizens advice can help you with the form. He has a 0% success rate when it comes to winning court cases partly because he doesn't follow court orders and partly because, in my experience, he isn't very honest going as far as manufacturering fictitious disputes in order to have the case thrown out, but dot the I's and cross the t's so your case is water tight.
Then follow my example and stick to your guns otherwise you will not be paid.

I'm going to make this short and sweet. I have been reading a lot of reviews about Erider for several months now. I bought an Erider Model 15 from them in January of 2019. The vehicle proved to be very controversial with members in the surrounding area promting an actual biker to call it a motorbike with pedals.
Erider imports all of it's products from China. My Erider Model 15 fell apart after around five months of use. The bike was highly dangerous to ride. I received mine with no instruction manual and a faulty front light and a motor that would sometimes start on it's own although to be fair that only happened two or three times but it was enough to leave me fairly upset with trying to control a runaway bike. Three weeks ago in an effort to restore my bike I ordered a replacement charger for the Model 15 bike. They sent me out the wrong charger which further proves their lack of quality control. I sent it back and was given a full refund so I praise Erider for a good level of customer service.
I am now riding a regular electric bicycle which is light enough to carry with just one hand and is what it claims to be which is an electrically assisted pedal cycle. Might I advise to focus their business on trying to sell electric motorbikes and scooters because from my experience the Erider model 15 is a poor example of electric bikes.

Received my E-Rider 18! Absolutely love it!! Easy to remove battery for charging and a lot lighter than I thought it would be .Also easy to use indicators, lights etc The back box is a bit light and plastic but it's fine for my needs. Very happy with my purchase and looking forward to enjoying the silent, low cost travel. Not to forget the fun! Thanks E-Rider

Absolutely love my new e-bike, travelled over 100 miles on it already. I live in the Surrey Hills so it has to climb 2 hills every day which it does without the needs for pedals. Such a stylish bike and gets lots of attention whilst out and about. Great customer service from E-Rider when I needed a rear brake light bulb replacement. Thoroughly recommend, would give 6 stars if I could!

The model 75 is just SO much fun. If you have a full bike license you really should get one. Riding it in the countryside is like skiiing - silently cruising along, swinging around bends. There is always loads of power to spare. It is fully automatic, though there are three speed ranges (not mentioned in the very brief manual): slow; fast; hang on tight. Reverse gear is helpful too - it's a big bike so this helps maneuvering. If you want you can add a dashcam - there are two USB sockets just below the windshield. I haven't done that yet, but I intend to. The battery isn't removable - but is charged with a normal household plug and socket (I had outdoor sockets installed to charge it - also useful for power tools in the garden if you have one). I got insurance for it quite easily - even though the company seemed unfamiliar with the model. Not too expensive. With no evident fuel costs above the normal household electricity consumption, no road tax and a range of something like 90km this is a great commuting vehicle if your workplace is close enough (mine is).
My wife liked my bike so much she got another from e-rider: the model 18. She loves it! You don't need a license or insurance (or even a helmet, though not wearing one would be stupid) because it is officially an electric bicycle. The speed is limited to comply with the law. But (whisper it quietly) ...it has magic pedals.....
I found Ken, of e-rider, really very helpful in sorting out an issue I had. He couldn't have done more to assist. And Greg, who delivered the bike in his van, gave plenty of notice of when it would be delivered, with a specified time. They are great people and a pleasure to deal with.
The bikes are great value and the simplicity of design means that long-term there should only be disk brake pads and tyres to consider in terms of servicing, at least as far as I can see. I bought some small adjustable blind spot mirrors to improve rear visibility (about £5) a heavy duty chain, a disk immobiliser and a motorcycle cover.
