Founded by a marketing professional and charging up to $100,000 for 60 day inpatient plus 90 day outpatient care, this facility relies heavily on medicating addicts seeking help. After detox, patients are put on anti-depressants and anti-craving drugs: Serequel, Suboxone, Campral, and Anabuse. If a patient does not go to the nurses station to pick up their sleep meds on time, they’re charged an extra $75.
Enterhealth provides individual counseling, group meetings, and can patients can purchase a’la cart tests and “add-on” therapies. After patients are released, they offer an expensive (over $1,000) injection of a “blocking” drug like Vivitrol, which needs to be administered on a repeated basis.
Although Enterheath is charging an inordinate amount of money for recovery, they seem to be understaffed and therefore rely on patient assistance with many incidents including physical altercations, drug-induced episodes, and addicts trying to leave. There is a fitness center, a salon spa and a pool. Sleeping arrangements are private, but it’s not uncommon for patients to hook-up with each other.
Even though patients pay through the nose, they’re expected to “give back” once they leave by returning to the facility to give lectures and invest themselves in a myriad of ways.
They have over 30 beds available at a time... and from what I’m told, they lose about 1 former patient per month to overdose or suicide.
Enterhealth does not recommend AA or NA to addicts seeking help, going so far as to tell them 12-step meetings are filled with drug-dealers and sexual predators. *They’re also free and available to anyone at multiple times and locations throughout every city every day... which would directly compete with Enterhealth’s costly program
Personal note: Of the successful recovering addicts/alcoholics I know... some went to rehab, some didn’t... but they all did the 12 steps. For those looking for treatment... keep looking. There are some great facilities out there. This place is a cult-like money grab.

Overall, great experience. Great staff from nurses to chefs. I really enjoyed my therapist, Rueben. And, Bob was great--an expert in his field and a great speaker. The Sunday family sessions with Bob were great. The techs were very helpful. Great accommodations; great food.
Only recommendation for improvement is better organization regarding session times and locations, especially needed for new patients. There is supposed to be a buddy system to help new patients, but it is apparently no longer used??

On 4/7/18, I celebrated my 9th birthday in recovery. I went to three other treatment centers prior to Enterhealth and did not have the skills to cope with my addiction. Enterhealth's approach changed everything for me. I wanted to live again and finally felt worthy of love and happiness. Enterhealth and the loving support of my family saved my life!

Please beware of entering treatment at Enterhealth. I was inpatient at the Ranch and witnessed several HIPPA violations. I filed a formal complaint and the facility is trying retaliating by filing an CPS report regarding a story from almost a year before my treatment. The story did not include any abuse nor is there any imminent threat of abuse. My therapist led me to believe I was in a safe / talk about anything environment and manipulated me into sharing stories about how my prior using had affected my parenting. As soon as she heard something that she believed fell under her "mandated reporting", she immediately filed it. I have also been vocal about the unethical peddling of a $7800, non-FDA approved drugs that Dr. Urschel tries to impose on the vulnerable recovery patients at the ranch. This tactic by the inpatient facility is clearly revenge. I'm having to hire attorneys to handle the situation. DO NOT trust anyone there. They do not have your best interest at heart. They will trap you if you speak out against their practices. There are many other reputable rehab facilities with strong ethical history.

Overall staff and doctors did a great job. Facilities were also great. Would suggest having a trained smart facilitator as this was the biggest downfall of my 30 day experience

I have significant concerns regarding this facility. Specifically they push a treatment that used to be called prometa; they are now calling it GABASYNC. This is not FDA approved and was developed by a junk bond trader. Please seek out information regarding this, addictions magazine has stated this is not a recommended protocol and there is only their testing that says it is effective.
They say luxury rehab but in the winter most amenities not available. People are not provided with a set shedule there was nothing available other than meetings, which are optional. The result was people just hanging out sleeping in chairs, possible resulting from the meds they were on.
The food is not bad, some friendly staff, although we experienced staff issues. Specifically, we left chapstick for my son only to discover that he never was given the items we left. They were stuck in a closet and only givent to him when we went to visit and had to push to find out where the items were. That was pretty upsetting, my son's lips were bleeding and they failed to provide the chapstick we purchased for several days.
The worst staff issue was an iphone was broken in their care. We were packing to leave and the confiscated phone was returned with a broken screen. I told them it was not broken when we gave it to you. They tried to BLAME MY SON!! In front of the staff I asked him if it was broken when he turned it over, we were there when he turned it over and I knew it was not broken, the staff admitted that they had indeed broken the screen. How unbelievably unhelpful to set the example of lying and coverup in a rehab facility. Staff have to model appropriate behavior, not exhibit manipulation and deceit.
As others have said, if you cannot pay you will be discharged. It is a private facility. Negatives, very expensive, full neuropsych testing done (at an additional $2700) while still in detox, again in my humble opinion one cannot distinguish between substance induced and pre existing conditions only 11 days since last use of cannabis. The neuropsychologist acknowledged this but the therapist didn't have a solid understanding of this in my opinion. When I asked for further clarification she said that those were questions for the neuropsychologist. Despite the cost for the neuropsych evaluation several aspects of the report were incorrect. In addition, key tests were incomplete or invalidated. It did not provide a complete picture.
The most ridiculous part of the neuropsych assessment was that they had me, the parent (although a licensed addiction counselor) administer sections of the MMPI. The report fails to report this fact however.
Another concern was that everyone seems to be put on seroquel during detox to help regulate sleeping; we were informed of this only after our son had been given seroquel for several days. The research I found indicates that seroquel can actually increase craving and relapse rates in marijuana recovery. Our son was there for marijuana.
This facility I do not recommend. You are not getting your moneys worth at this facility. It is a glorified babysitting service that uses medication inappropriately and pushes unwarranted treatment for financial gain. The FDA should be alerted in regards to their use of GABASYNC as it is not shown to be effective by others in the field.
We took our son out after about 2 weeks. I felt that as an addiction professional I could provide better treatment more consistent with currrent findings and literature. This was 2 years ago. My son has not used Marijuana since and his symptoms have completely cleared. This confirms and supports the reality that you can not complete any psychological assessment or neuropsychological assessment when someone is still in the detoxification process as the findings are flawed. Do not waste your money here, there are better facilities available that adhere to appropriate protocols and do not use junk science such as GABASYNC.

What a wonderful program! 24/7 highly qualified nursing staff, and appointments in addition to the once weekly Doctor appointment can easily be scheduled. The medical and nursing staff got my blood pressure under control for the first time in twenty years. My therapist, Renee, worked tirelessly on my behalf, developing and implementing boundaries with my family. Bob, who taught our morning classes seven days a week, had developed a curriculum which allowed each of us to learn and develop healthy strategies and coping mechanisms for every day sober life.
Community cohesiveness is encourages and developed with enough freedom for the clients to implement outings, for example, our beloved Saturday movie jaunt! Community meetings were held every evening and a community “spokesperson” was elected on a weekly basis.
Accommodations are single person cabins, which are nicely appointed with cozy reading nooks, a serviceable desk, new comfortable beds, and brand new flat screen televisions. You may bring your own reading materials, and you will have access to your phone and computer several times a day. Meals are prepared by a wonderful group of cooks, and dietary restrictions are accommodated with a smile. I don’t smoke, but smoke breaks seem frequent enough, although you can’t just smoke as much as you please.
Things I wish I had known:
1. You go from building to building all day long on a rough gravel path. Dress accordingly.
2. The Internet access is not fast nor reliable.
3. Mail and Amazon shipments take longer than usual to arrive. Also, you do not get to go to Walmart or the drugstore so take plenty of necessities. Bring EVERYTHING you will need.
If you need help with something, ask. Everyone, including you fellow patients are more than happy to help.

This is the second treatment facility that I have attended and EnterHealth is far better than the other.
The staff is terrific; Facilities, Dining, Techs, Nurses, Therapists and Doctors, all were very professional and cared about the clients. They worked to ensure that I got the most out of my stay and that things were comfortable.
The lectures and therapy sessions and were extremely beneficial to me, providing new insights and tools that have improved my quality of life and I expect that they will continue to do so.

Everybody from the cooks to the doctors to the maids were genuinely kind and seemed to have my best interest in mind. For me, that meant detoxing from a heavy opiate habit in a place that gave me as much medicinal, therapeutic and educational assistance as I could have ever imagined. They didn't cram me into 12 step meetings or tell me that there is only one path towards sobriety. They understand that everybody is different and tailored a treatment plan that has been more effective towards my recovery than anything else I've ever found (Let it be noted that this never meant I was coddled or placated. Recovery isn't meant to be fun or easy... I just don't think it should be dogmatic. And if you can present a case why things should be different for you, you're free to debate. Just expect a well-crafted, educated response).

Enterhealth is a very special place. I was lost, hopeless, and miserable in my addiction. I took a chance with Enterhealth and it saved my life. This is not a cookie cutter program. Everything is tailored to the individual from day one. From top to bottom, every person you encounter genuinely cares about your recovery. Could not recommend more!

I have enjoyed continuous recovery since I began working with Enterhealth nearly four years ago. The staff has always surpassed expectations. I truly believe there is no better place to find peace if one is willing to participate in their own treatment. My family and I have never regretted placing our trust in the inpatient and outpatient services offered by Enterhealth.

My experience with Enterhealth has probably saved my Life. The medical addiction model has helped me understand that the decisions I made while using or trying to use are not necessarily me, but me with the influence of my substance. I also haven't had medical treatment in yours because of my addiction. The clinical treatment of depression and addiction medicines, plus therapy, have helped me find my integrity and self worth again after years and years of substance abuse. The addiction therapy has also given me the tools and insight I need to live my Life with satisfaction and fulfillment again. I will always be in Remission. However, through Enterhealth I feel like I can Now do that as a better Husband, Father, and Son.

If you are looking for the best, Enterhealth is it. This had been one of the most amazing and fulfilling experiences of my life.
The entire staff is top-notch: the doctors, the nurses, the therapists, the techs. Even the room cleaning crew and the truly outstanding chef (thanks Dean)! They are all kind, understanding and willing to do anything to help make your stay as comfortable and productive as possible. I wish I could name them all here.
Dr. Urschel is a pioneer in this unique approach to addiction, utilizing carefully researched drug treatment in combination with targeted therapy. Taken together they maximize and shorten the healing process.
You will also find that your peers are an incredible source of assistance and information. Their insights and personal history were invaluable to me as I progressed through treatment. I have learned so much from them, and I am proud to call them friends.
