What a disapointing rip off. We made an online reservation for a "premium special car" for a week for 475 usd. While booking the car it doesn't say anything about the additional costs. Upon arrival we were confronted with all the additional costs for insurance, extra drivers etc. making the total 949 usd instead of the 475 usd we thought we would pay.
To make it even more dissapointing they had lured us in with a premium special car Chrysler 300 or simular, we ended up having the choice between a Toyota Camry, Chevrolet Malibu or Ford Fusion not really "premium special cars" if you ask me. I love cars and wanted a nice car like a Chrysler 300 or simular not a class lower for double the money.
We had 3 rental cars during our stay in the US. Enterprise was the most expensive and dissapointing of all. They don't clearly state the additional costs and lure you with nicer cars then they give you.
Compared to the others it was very dissapointing. First we had a Ford Mustang for 9 days incuding everything and drop off at a different location for 630. After that a Suburban for 6 days also including everything for 540 to end up with a "premium" Malibu for 949 for 7 days. I'll never book with Enterprise again.

Not ever likely again. It took until September 18th when the last charge was effected on my credit card for a van rental back in (27-28th) July to finally be rid of this sour experience. A hardly noticeable dent (wish photographed) only seen the morning of return is the issue. Communication was poor during this interminable period. Several calls were made and only after nearly 3 weeks was I told that the van was in the workshop and, eventually, hit with extortionate amount to pay. It leaves a bitter taste even with the waiver (insurance) added at the time of rental. Dreadful to think of the outcome without waiver.

Enterprise used to be a "better brand", but this time at Manchester Airport they underdid themselves. I didn't have any issues with the rental and returns, but they were lying about the excess, telling me that "one scratch will cost me 1000 GBP, two scratches is 2000 GBP, and so on" to try to make me buy their expensive extra insurance.
Which I didn't need because I had 3rd party cover.
The rental lady was very rude and unprofessional.
I think they hate everyone who doesn't take out the extra insurance and want to feel those customers miserable so they never return.

Had a reservation online. The day we were to pick up, we received an online notice our booking had been cancelled. WE called in immediately and they recognized mistake for online booking. Offered to rent us the same car still, but double the price... Spoke to a manager and then a area manager who offered a free week up to a full size car. I call about 5 months later as Im flying back into Seattle to utilize this offer, area manager has left the company. Now cant get the location to honor their word and email confirmation of free booking. con artists..

Well, I have put another star back. Although I would not rent with them again I acknowledge and am grateful, that their Customer Service group did finally get back to me and provided a reimbursement for the over charge.

We picked a car up at LAX for our week vacation with a minor debit card holdup. There was plenty of money in our checking acct but the desk worker claimed my debit card was declined. Our bank was closed so it was impossible to rectify what the Enterprise clerk was trying to say. There was a Latina kiosk helper who got us thru the rental process with no BS. I learned that these so-called declined transactions on a debit card are a common ruse nowadays. Cut your debit cards up and use a credit card. Too many liars and thieves out there to trust with your checking account. Apart from that cheap BS their black desk clerk tried to pull on us all went well. I later learned most of these contract workers collect public assistance!!! I managed to get a parking ticket in Santa Monica. Its easy to do. We lost the parking ticket but called the city and they got us taken care of as far as the $63 parking ticket. It helps to add another driver, you can do that when picking up the car. Its much cheaper if you elect to return the car filled with gas. I was able to find a gas station just 1 mile from the Enterprise shop. I gave my receipt for the gas to the lady who checked the car back in. Vacuum the car and turn it in nice and clean. They didn't bill us anything extra and all was well.

Warning to rent a car from enterprise!!!!!
We had booked a car over the internet which we paid 6 months in advance.
When we were going to pick up the car there was no car for us.
We had the receipt with the confirmation of the car rental, but we did not get a car. They told us that all cars were already rented.

Renting in Ireland.
At first the company was excellent. Car was provided, all was very good. However, during a long rental, I did not pay motorway tolls. This cost should have been €9. I had paid hundreds if not almost a thousand euros in rental fees that year with erac. The company added fees to charge me €40 to pay the tolls. In addition, they only provided one number, and this was a one hour wait. When I challenged the additional fees, the operator hung up.
They also failed to call me back or provide another way to pay the fees. They ignored emails to the correct 'traffic violation' department for more than a month and an email to customer complaints for more than a week. They also initially provided me with the wrong number for that department, so I had to call their offices to get the right phone number.
Be careful of this, there are a lot of tolls on Irish motorways, and really, all the company needs to do is to add a tag to the windscreens so that the customer is billed when they return the car. The technology has been around for a long time.

We drove were from Miami to Orlando on holiday. When booking in person staff refused to find nearest drop off for me. They told me to look. Ridiculous! I’m from uk! finally persuaded they found drop off office! told that car had to be dropped off before 5pm That day. not given address or number of drop-office.had to find out ourselves.called drop off office several times enroute to Orlando. Told we’ed be taken to hotel If arrive by 5pm. Called lots during drive, 1 person said be there 430, next person said 5.called again 4.50 while putting in gas by office, just To make sure that someone was waiting for us. We got there just before 5pm! They has all left! They have not said it was a problem to Wait or that they would go by five! You can imagine our frustration having driven for four hours with four children and six suitcases in the car! To our surprise there was a drop-off box and a place to leave car outside of office hours! How difficult would it have been to give us the correct information in the first place. Not using them again. Had to pay for Uber back to our hotel. My husband drove us to hotel with kids and bags and then return car. worst car rental experience ever . not using enterprise again.

I have always used the other two “major” car rental coz I worry others may not be able to provide good services. But somehow in Paris Charles Degaule airport few weeks ago and i must say I am very pleased. The servicing staff during pick up and return are just great, the car is very good, clean and new.
I then got another car at London Gatwick, same comment, nice car, clean and new and friendly staff.
Both places pick up and return is very easy

We have now rented a car or van from Enterprise Aberdeen 4 times. Never an issue, never been charged for a scratch or a mark and customer service has been excellent especially at times of need when running late etc. We wouldn't go anywhere else now, having been charged by another company in the past, would highly recommend.

Do Not Rent From This Company.... ALHAMBRA, CA MAIN ST. LOCATION. they will falsify documents and charge your credit card months after the rental... even if a second party (Wondries Collision Center in my case) is responsible to pay. I had an accident in 11/2018 and everything was covered through my insurance company Mercury Insurance and Wondries Collision... so the paperwork said at the time of signing. Unfortunately, in 2/2019 I received a charge on my credit card from Enterprise for $327.00. I spoke to the Enterprise manager at the time (they have a revolving door there because they employees dont stay) and was advised Wondries Collision Center declined to pay them so they charged my card and they would not investigate my dispute. I filed a complaint in 2/2019 with my bank Wells Fargo and in 4/2019 I was declined the reimbursement because Enterprise doctored the documents removing Wonderies Collision from responsibility and now making me the responsible party. Wells closed the case. I continued to pursue the issue with Mercury Insurance stating at the time of the rental I signed documents with Wondries Collision as the responsible party. I had to go to the top branch manager of Mercury Insurance to get help. As of 6/2019, Finally Mercury Insurance agreed to the fact Enterprise should have never charged my credit card four months after the rental for fees that should of been paid by Wondries Collision. I am still waiting for the reimbursement check $327.00 from Enterprise. Today unfortunately I had to talk to the Enterprise manager Lucy and was advised it will take another 3 weeks to receive a check from the corporate office. When I asked for her last name and the names of the persons who doctored the documents because I was filing a complaint with the BBB Better Business Bureau, LUCY HUNG UP ON ME. This was not the first time I rented with Enterprise but it is the last. Your credit cards are not safe with this company, their practices are illegal and their employees are disgustingly rude.

Last 29th June '19 I picked up a pre-booked Enterprise Car for a 2 day hire at Edinburgh airport. I had Premium Location Fee, plus Drop charge, plus base damage cover all included in my original quote. So after including VAT I was supposed to pay £85 in total. However the onsite booking process took me to a staggering £199 !!! And did not seem to reflect much of anything in my original quote. With a young child and with no time to spare I had no choice but to pay on the spot, but I must say I was extremely disappointed.
Of course if I had known in advance of what to expect then I would not have formalized the car rental with Enterprise in the first place. I have hired economy class cars many times throughout my working life, and have never had to pay £200 for 2 days.
To make things worse I sent a claim to several of the mail boxes listed. One of them just returns an automatic system generated reply with a link that takes you to a Frequently Asked Questions page in their website.
I'm afraid it has been a horrible experience, and I'm doing my best now to tell frends and family. Additionally although this was a car rental for personal affairs, I will also endeavour to inform my employer as I'm sure they would like to know and so to avoid any corporate reservations in the future.

I booked a transit van for a Monday early morning collection 10 days in advance. I received a courtesy call to inform me that it was all organized and thank you for booking with Enterprise.
Then, on the weekend before I'm due to collect the van I receive a phone call. There is a shortage of vans and I can no longer collect it early, it will have to be later in the day.
The phone call informing me that there was a "shortage" was perfectly timed to occur on a Saturday afternoon after Enterprise had closed (yet they could still call me) and where it would be difficult to organize another van hire.
Go to Sixt. Better company, better service, better vans and best of all, they actually have what you want to hire rather than hit you with empty promises.

Took a car from them last month, got a parking ticket which I paid and provided enterprise with proof of payment, in the mean time my bank card changed and they were unable to charge admin fee of £0.01 I emailed them to contact me or send me secured link so I can provide new card details, unable to speak to their traffic violations customer care as the queue is insane, I have dropped twice after waiting for 45 mins each, they never respond to my emails but I keep getting reminders for them about this traffic violation, pathetic service, wont use them in future

Do not use then. Spare yourself and rent somewhere else.

If you use them make sure they explain the insurance correctly. Well at the Glen Burnie MD Enterprise I was told by Julian it was $22 and would come out of my deductible. Well when I turned the car in, after having it for a month, there was a charge for $758. It was $22 per day not the one time charge that I was told. And of course I can’t get anyone to talk to me about this. It’s just a big scam if you ask me. Now I’m out all that money and there is nothing I can do about it. Never again will I use Enterprise for car rental.

We hired a car via Enterprise Rent-A-Car at Venice Marco Polo Airport from 09 March until 17 March 2019.
We booked hotels and accommodation with parking space (two of them covered parking) in order to avoid the car being parked on the street to minimise the risk of the car being damaged.
At Venice Marco Polo Airport we found that the company we will be dealing with was Locauto Rent S.p.A. and not Enterprise.
Everything was fine until we came back to return the car.
We arrived on time, with the car full of fuel as required in the contract and we had nothing wrong to report.
Then we were met by a man who became aggressive with us saying: “Is this the way you received the car from us?”.
Initially I didn’t understand what was going on as everything was fine with the car.
I asked him for clarification on what the problem was as he was being rude and aggressive.
He lacked communication skills in English and education and respect and …. etc.
This man should not be in contact with the public as he is very damaging to any company’s reputation.
Basically he wanted us to have washed the car before returning it.
The car was black colour and it had the normal dirtiness it would get after using it for 8 days (this is the reason people rent a car!!).
The man said something about a “special wash” I had to pay when the car is returned extremely dirty. I think they tried to get some extra money from us without a valid reason.
Eventually he said there where no damages to the car and presented an iPad with a document to sign.
It was impossible to read all the document.
We were outside the office trying to read a document written in Italian with a rude and aggressive person.
This company does not provide a signed document (paper or via email) stating that you have returned the car in the same condition you took it and there will be no damages charges.
I have hired cars for more than 25 years and that was always the way I did it. I never had any issues.
I requested to speak with his supervisor.
She came and apologised to us.
She refused to provide the man’s name.
If the car was to be washed before being inspected for damages, we told them we will wait until the car was washed and inspected so we can take pictures of the car but that was denied.
While we were still talking the car was taken by another employee and we didn’t see the car again.
This review will be posted in every review website I can find in order to help customers staying away from Enterprise and Locauto.
Enterprise and Locauto seem to be VERY DODGY car rental companies which don’t care AT ALL about Customer Service.
If these two companies were the only two available I would rather walk!!!
