I have moved house. It took 10 days for the information about the electricity supply to come from Energia - Flogas took 2 days for the gas supply information. The most memorable thing in the Energia communication was the warning about a reconnection fee. I made a couple of attempts to contact them by phone - just to let them know I had made alternative arrangements: first time it was 8.50 in the morning and they were not open. The second time I waited for a few minutes but eventually hung up. I will not be rushing to do business with them.

I was with Airtricity and was constantly been ripped off where my electric bills quadrupled those of Energia. Not only are Energia good value but always at hand to assist in the nicest possible way. Top marks from me for sure 10/10

Terrible. After you’re first year is up, prepare to be slowly and surely robbed . Bills way higher than they ever were with previous supplier. Have just switched back to previous supplier :)

Any easy online energy company to deal with. They met all my requirements from online account, direct debit to level pay. Queries are dealt with on a timely basis. Annual rate reviews are easy. An excellent service supplier.

Energia sent a letter claiming that their estimate was incorrect and that instead over €2000 would be due.
Neither the tenant prior nor us had ever had an energy bill for this amount, and Energia claimed that their estimate would be incorrect since over a year.
They claimed the meter was never read; their estimate vs. the actual meter reading was nearly six times higher than the actual meter reading.
How can any company force a customer to pay for an estimate, also when historically no one ever paid a higher Energy bill, without issuing proof.
Also on the bill it showed a rate of 0.199 for over 10800 units, when the meter reads only about 3200, then claim oh the meter was reset in between. This is a very shady practice and completely destroys consumer confidence

As our 1 year contract was coming to an end energia sent us a message saying that they miscalculated the reading and sent us a bill for 330 euro which in my whole life I have never paid more than 160 euro with anyone else. In my opinion they are scaming people and there is very little you can do about it. I would say stay away.

Booked a boiler service with energia. I took a day off work to facilitate this. The engineer walked in and said we don’t actually service the boilers you have in these apartments. At no point in the booking process was there any suggestion that particular boilers are not serviced. Absolutely disgusted! Thankfully I’m not a regular energia customer and will certainly not be in the future.
