I am a retired Travel Agency Owner and after selling my business to Bidvest I started doing business online for family, close friends & favourite clients.
I have used mostly eDreams even though i more often than not forget to login to my account.
I have been happy with eDreams until recently.
It has happened a few times that when you get to the very last press to pay a new much higher fare pops up. This makes it difficult to quote properly and wastes time.
Nearly a month ago this caused a huge rift with my Son as i was booking him to Zurich and this happened and continually did the same over the next few days. I know eDreams adds fees and sometimes credit card levies right at the end but this is not R4,000.00. My Son blames me for not issuing as I had quoted him the lower amount adding on a R1,000.00 for the fees. This is almost like eDreams is tricking the public.
With one client I was actually on the phone to them when this happened and before pressing the key the sale went through at the higher amount. It was credited but made me look bad.
Now I think again before using eDreams and get far more quotes from other suppliers than I used to.

Nice experience. I was able to book flights and hotel with no problem. Confirmation emails were sent on a timely manner. The price of the flights were the same as on the airlines website, but the hotel we got it for 50% off.
Of course during the buying they try to push you like 200 different "upgrades/promotions" for luggage, for a better hotel, for insurance, for car rental, etc.

i think your contact center is terrible!
i tried to change the name of a ticket that by mistake was done in reverse, and after several calls , no one could help me. I hade to wait in all the calls more than 15 minutes waiting on a long distance call, and finally when someone took the call, it was a person that spoke terrible english , that coud not understand me.
The all process was BAD. i end up had to buy a new ticket of 880€ value. i comunicate on time but with all the miss informations I missed the time to reclame. i will make sure that people around me will never use your services anymore. really disapointed.

Great base prices, used for several flights internally in Sth America and got some great deals.
Careful of add-ons such as seating, boarding passes etc as many are free on the actual airline website once booked.
Overall, would recommend eDreams.

Earlier this week I booked 2 tickets to Portugal via eDreams. The first surprise came with the request for reservation that I received per email: additional costs of 64 euros for the so-called 'Cancellation for any reason Guarantee'. A guarantee that I do not need or want at all and was not visible when I booked the tickets. Unfair additional costs and a confirmation of the booking was not even received!
The second surprise came two days later with an email telling me the tickets were more expensive than when I booked them. But it was completely unclear whether my reservation was cancelled or was still in place. A call to customer service was useless, the band gives us the turnaround!
A check on my credit card balance learned me that the money for the tickets has not yet been reserved, because of which I hope that the tickets have been cancelled. HOWEVER, the money (64 euros) for the 'Cancellation for any reason Guarantee’ is reserved on my credit card! So probably no tickets, but only a cancellation guarantee ??

We booked a ticket from Newzealand to India and tried to change it before 3 weeks. Unfortunately, we called them more than 30 times, they were telling us, the price is not visible for them because they are third party website, then we contacted Singapore airlines and they said they can't get change the booking. Finally, we ended up in cancelling all ticket without any refund. Such a terrible service. Simply stealing money from people. Please do not book any ticket from this kind of fraud website

We were bumped off both flights booked via eDreams, one of them a long haul flight. Having been in touch directly with the airline involved, we have been directed back to eDreams to take up our complaint wih them.
Having filled in the form as requested and also sent a later reminder in response to the ticket number issued, we hear nothing.
Their messenger service is a robot and it's impossible to get passed it to speak to a human even though that is the service offerd.
Dreadful follow up customer service. I'm certain that if we wanted to book again with them, they'd be right on it. Ask for help to resolve a problem and all you'll get is Kris, the robot.

The fares may seem less expensive but don't be fooled. Read the deal carefully because we copped a huge baggage charge between Milan & London. The E Dreams terms said nothing about this. It is still best to book direct with the airline if you have checked luggage

We booked our flights with edream and were assured when booking we could add baggage after the booking. When we tried to add baggage we received a pop up message that we would need to phone edreams to add baggage. We phoned and it took 40 minutes to add 2 bags to 2 flights. It also cost €35 in credit as it was an American number and we are in Thailand. At the end of the call we ensured to ask that we would receive an email with the confirmation of the added baggage. 4 days have passed and I have not received a confirmation email that the baggage was added so I am hoping when we arrive at the airport all will be in order. Overall it cost €35 in credit and took 40 minutes to do what could have been a very simple job to do online but the option wasn’t provided.

Completely scammed by adding cancellation insurance after I had taken it off twice before purchase. It then automatically added it back in after I had clicked pay.
Raising a complaint but do avoid this company as you will end up being ripped off!

Due to my confusion the booking 4748335569 was not confirmed.
I called customer service at number 34...., and a polite and obviously smart woman (Simar) took me through the steps. Right after I received a mail that the booking was confirmed.
I appreciate the good service
Overall the service has been good (although an elderly person has difficulties with the details)
