online banking is really non exciting.. Leaving it very difficult to view your account and usually means you have to go to one of there branches to get a statement.

I lodged money to cover DDs on July 6th .Its not my main bank thankfully.
On July 22nd I got a letter from EBS looking for 10 euro and some cents for a returned DD .Money is always there for DD .I rang bank and was argued with that I never lodged it .I left my number for manager.short while later the girl rang me back and said the day I said I lodged the girl was over the amount I said I lodged !! She never put it I to my account , answered phone and then couldnt rem my name.They gave me back the 40 euro minus the 10 euro..I phoned Dublin they knew nothing about it even though manager told me they did .Dublin rang the branch and the girl rang me she said I had to wait for fee as it had to be requested. I told her it was taken out instantly and I want it back as i am going in to morrow to branch to close the account.Check any account you have with EBS .My problem was with the Sligo branch.
They couldn't care less I was told mistakes happen

Terrible experience with EBS customer service and online banking. The online service doesnt work half the time for existing customers. If a new customer comming to the bank office - card cant be activated, PAC too, have to ring the number provided. Ok, calling the bank to activate PAC, waiting on the phone for their answer for 20min! In the recently received letter is clearly written customer service open from 9 to 5.30 Mon to Fri. Ringing again 5pm on Monday - our lines now closed. Can only log in on one device?! Sereously... Call to activate the card, call to activate PAC, call to activate new beneficiary and no answer or it takes so long waiting for one. Very dissapointed. Would not recoment this bank to anyone. Cheep to keep the account but this is what one gets to deal with. This bank needs to improove big time!!!

What an absolutely atrocious online banking system, 9 times out of 10 you can't get to check your balance, I have found the best time to try is after midnight... it's an absolute joke!

I have been with EBS over 6 months now and I am still having issues with them.
It took 3 months to have the bank account up and running, between branch visits, application forms and phone calls.
I still cannot log into the online banking straight away and I've just found out my account was not set up online correctly!
Out of all my standing orders my mortgage one has failed twice and this is still not resolved.
It is so obvious that someone in the building business one day woke up and decided to go into banking because it's easy money, decades later still have no clue about banking.

Bad customer service, just expended 20 minutes waiting to connect to one of their team customer service adviser and nobody, but nobody answers my call for 20 minutes I was waiting on the line.
I have been having delays on the payment of my weekly wages and this is the third time, that is why the reason for me calling today.
To clear up a check it takes 9 days.
So bad this bank. The only good thing is that there are no fees, at least one, but still, that is how it should be as I trust my bank to manage my money. so as there are many that trust you. So you are not doing me a favour. I am by using you, so your banks can do business and make loans and gain money from the interests that you gain from all the user that puts money in your bank.

Great customer service. As close to an honest bank as you will get in Ireland. Competitive rates and low fees. However, they are still very much paper based and their digital offerings are weak.
