I will NEVER order from easons again, I ordered 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting on the rest of my son's school books, I recieve 1 book everyday, like what sort of company does that, there customer service is appalling, I've sent numerous emails with no response, I will be sticking with school books.ie from now on.

Ive been left to look like an unorganised parent after sending my three kids to school without the majority of their books. Even though I ordered weeks ago.. 4 books arrived to date in 3 separate small packages. I recieved an email today confirming one more book is in the post.. no word on the remaining 20. I expected everything to arrive at the same time, as these books were in stock. Customer service are yet to respond. I usually order from schoolbooks.ie and tried Easons for a change.. needless to say I wont be going back.

I placed an order for books and it was confirmed that it will be sent to me within 7 days. After 14-15 days we received a tiny package with only two little books. We have not been contacted earlier that order will be delayed and/or partially sent, no info ever at all. I had to email them myself just to get a response after few days that there has been a problem with the package that had already been resolved and remaining books would be sent roughly from 5 to 7 days again. All those days would be totaled at 25 days of wait time. I requested a refund just to get a response that it might be to late and then again I waited 3 days and emailed them and threatened them with contacting consumer rights commission and legal steps if need be and then refund came in two hours.
10% of discount that they offer for online order is nowhere close to be worth anything considering amount of stress we came through.
Will never order the again and will definitely tell everyone not to. Worst experience ever.

What has happened to Easons?Ordered online for 3 of my childrens books for school. 10 days later my order comes in late, even though they show all books in stock, Go to pick up books today and when I open the box, there is one book and a ruler out of 20 items. Given no idea how or when or if the other books will be delivered. Call head office and voice message advises that they are closed and will reopen on the 30/31st of December, seriously? It's a joke, when you contact any of their franchises, they have no idea either and give you the number for the head office. So I'm left with 1 book and ruler for one of my kids. Why take the money if they haven't got the stock? Will go to book haven for any future purchases. #update, I called 018448815 and finally got someone who is sorting this mess out. I would rather speak to someone who runs this shambles though as its not fair on these staff getting the brunt through no mistake of their own. - Cop on Easons and start treating your staff and customers with a bit of respect.

Easons should be ashamed of themselves. I’m a 5th year student who ordered exam papers 2 weeks ago thinking that’s its enough of time for the delivery to come through since it’s usually 5-10 working days. How wrong was I ? After 14 days my order is still not here and there’s no update on its whereabouts. I have contacted them several times, I have called but no answer, went to their online customer service and all they did was message me saying I need to patiently wait for message to get reviewed. I emailed them a couple of days ago also but still no answer. I am really surprised as I am a frequent customer in Easons and this never happened before. I understand with all the Pandemic and schools going on they might have a slight delay but come on, 2 weeks!!!???? It’s a disgrace. How do they expect people to continue buying from them if they don’t even send books on time, especially if school is starting in two days??? I couldn’t have ordered them sooner as exam papers usually come out midway through August. On the website my exam papers were in stock so I don’t understand why they can’t process it faster?? It’s not as if I ordered tons of books and some of them were out of stock. As a 5th year student, exam papers are necessary in school as without them you’re not getting prepared for the most important exam in your life. I’m really pissed off with that happening and after many days of being ignored I had to order the book from a different website and goes extra money for a next day delivery just to get them in time before school starts. I just think this is unfair to the people as they’re getting scammed by a website which credits itself with quick deliveries and loyalty. I don’t think I’m gonna get my book or my money which is really upsetting and all I got to say is Shame On You Easons!!!

I have never used Easons for schoolbooks before and I never will again! Ordered schoolbooks for my 3 kids over 2 weeks ago, and I have received just 2 books to date. And an email saying they apologise for the delay. All books I ordered were in stock (allegedly!) so what’s the problem. They are taking peoples hard earned money for a product they presumably do not actually have in stock. It’s not exactly rocket science to be aware that schoolbooks are time sensitive and need to be received by a certain date. My kids are due back at school next Monday 31st August and as things now stand, they will be going back without most of their books. I can’t even find a phone number to ring - all you get is the option to complete an online form to email to them, explaining what your “query” is!
I am beyond mad. I will never never deal with Easons online again.

Ordered school books 3 weeks ago. All of the books were available and in stock. We received 4 emails stating the books are being delivered by An Post. So far, I've been to the bookstore 3 times to collect books in dribs and drabs. I've yet to received 2 more items and as I type this, I got another email stating one item is now ready. This will be 5 trips to the same bookstore to pick up one order. I would have been better to go into the shop myself for them. I've never come across a company so disorganised. It is a shambles to deliver an order in bits and pieces. All of the items should have been delivered in one package. I will not be using this company again.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
Ordered schoolbooks 3 weeks ago and they have not arrived, delivery time on the website states 5-7 days. I had to send my kids off to school today without their books on their first day back in 6 months. I am just so upset for them. No assistance from Easons, no apology or explanation. I called so many times, offering to collect the books from one of the stores and send back the order when it arrives and they wouldn't even help with that.

Absolute joke of a company. Ordered books and stationery for my children going back to school 3 weeks ago. Just got an email that I’ll be receiving a plastic folder and one hardback copy. No sign of the rest of the order. Should of read the reviews before I purchased, thought I was doing the right thing by supporting an Irish business. Never again, AVOID!!!

Ordered school books on 15th August, half of them arrived last week still waiting for other half. Dreadful customer service, no response to emails, waited for 20 minutes to have someone transfer me to another line where I was then cut off and the customer service line seems to be only taking calls from 8.30 in the morning to 12.30 in afternoon and you can't leave a voicemail. Also the order number I received when I ordered doesn't have the 10 digits required for the order update search on their website. Never again!

Horrendous service. I ordered school books two weeks ago and they still haven't dispatched. I rang last week and was assured they were dispatching within two days (before last Friday). It is now the following Tuesday and I was assured that I would at the very latest have them today. They haven't even dispatched yet. Have been trying to phone them for over an hour today-they cut me off 3 times. When I did finally get through to someone who could process the request, they took the order number and then cut me off. Also, phone line is crackling like mad and the waiting music is very jarring on purpose to make you hang up so they don't have to deal with you. Disgusting treatment of customers. Ordered other books from Schoolbooks.ie and they arrived over a week ago. Never shopping with Easons again.

Would not order from them again , ordered books that was in stock at time of checkout 2 weeks later received only a fraction of the books it's now a week later some more are arriving as I finally received email but still not the full order absolutely disgusting service emailed them to find out about order with no reply from customer care

I have ordered school books for my son. On the time of booking the webpage stated that all these books are available. Two days later i received notification that my order is processed with less than half of the books?! The rest of the books unavailable at the moment?!. Still not received the rest of the books! Cheating customers, stilling money, deliberately misleading information on website. Very dissapointed of Eason bookshop. Never ever again!

Super easy to order, the PayPal checkout option was a breeze. The Sale discount code they displayed on the homepage meant it was much cheaper than everywhere else. The book was with me in 2 working days which I thought was an impressive turn around. Will order again. Much better than Amazon!

Terrible service. Would never buy from Easons again. I ordered and paid for a book over three weeks ago. I still don't have it. I have emailed their customer service repeatedly and each time they send a standard email telling me that my order is complete. The last email I sent requested a refund of my money, as it is clear at this stage that they do not plan on providing me with the book that I purchased from them, but they have not responded to my email. I won't hold my breath waiting for the return of my money. I actually cannot believe how poor their customer service is. Well essentially there is no customer service, just a copied and pasted response saying my order is complete. I will never purchase from them again. It is particularly irritating as I can purchase books cheaper from Book Depository but chose to purchase from Easons to support an Irish company and help keep workers in jobs during the current pandemic. I regret that decision as I now have to purchase the book from Book Depository anyway and Easons are obviously happy to keep/steal the money I gave them for the book they they not provide.

I ordered a trilogy of books, my order was split into two parts. I only received the last book in the trilogy and never received the first two books so the book I have received, I cant read. I have contacted customer service multiple times and they keep saying the order is marked as complete (after days of waiting to get a reply) when I never received two out of three of the books. Website doesn't work properly so the order history page will never load and always crashes, the only way to get a tracking number seems to be by emailing customer service. I've finally just requested a refund, giving up on waiting to get my order and the only reply I am getting is that the order is complete. I am only getting copy and pasted responses back and my questions are never actually answered. Non existent customer service. Even if I got my delivery at this point, I still would never recommend buying from them. Been waiting weeks for my order. 30 euro worth of books I'll probably never see and no response from customer service to clarify what's happened.

Order 3 items never received them, don't reply to emails, no refund, I called the stores to get closure and was told nothing to do with them and I just have to wait for a reply to my email it's been 1 month and 15 emails and nothing.

I was in the carlow branch of the easons store today and everywhere was hectic, but the cashier on the tills Niamh k still took the time to ask me how my day was going and make the smalltalk and it really brightened my day, so I just wanted to say thank you for the amazing customer service!
