Find another big box store. Their customer service is callous and rude. Their membership policies are an ethical, unfair, and illegal. If your registration lapses they will deny you service and then when you renew, you pay for the time that you were denied. This because they apply your membership retroactively. Shame on you!

Why does this new Costco on clovis ave. Put so much clutter /pkgd. Freight it's so bad it's a hazard. I'm really surprised code enforcement has not given a violation. There can only be one basket passing at a time on the end caps near the wall , no one let's you pass you really need to be pushy on passing through. I'm always helping people find the eggs and water which is in the wrong spot from a shopping point of view. I dont even like to order from the food court which has 2 prepaid lines ,but they insist we use 1.

I have never been a big Costco fan, but they have a few things I really like. Their meat tends to be good but the prices are not that low anymore. Stay away from the produce. I just bought a bag of baking potatoes for Christmas. About a third of them have big decayed spots on them. I really don't have time to return them this time of year. In the past I have gotten other marginal fruit. One time I tried to get my money back for horrible peaches that I took on vacation. I brought the box and receipt as we were gone a week and a half so I didn't keep the peaches around that long plus bring them back from my vacation. The employee had a fit that I didn't bring the peaches back and said they typically can't do a refund in a case like this. I asked for a manager who treated me rudely. He said the line I love - "well, we'll do it this one time." I have been treated so rudely at the gas station that I won't buy gas there even tho it is much cheaper than most stations.

This was the second time they have cancelled my order. I ordered an IPad mini on sale and a month later they canceled the order without an explanation. I had the Costco near me call and they reassure me it was in the way with rush delivery. It never happened.

Have been buying tires from Costco for years. They scratched a black chrome wheel and are now denying it. Even after the tire service manager inspected my wheels with me before the work was done. He has since transferred to another store and recently been fired. Unbelievable. Consumer beware, if you value your car, go elsewhere. Both Monica Ramahlo and Jeremiah Sorensen who are leaders at the Katy Costco showed little concern with our problem. Brushed me off and never returned calls. If I could give a negative star I would.

Purchased a Christmas decoration and as hubby was pulling box I wanted to say get the other box but because item was a bit heavy I didn't say anything. Removed from box and the battery box was missing one of the metal swirling metal pieces for battery connection. When returning they didn't even ask if there was something wrong. When opening up the new one it was apparent the old one was a return and they just put it back on the shelf. I'm so disappointed how this one was handled and have no doubt someone else will end up with it.

I enjoy shopping at Costco. Customer service is 100 times better than what you would expect from QFC or Fred Meyer. I think I'm going to start bringing my hard earned paycheck here. Food quality is quite decent.
It's really difficult to post reviews to their website. If you post anything that's slightly negative or too negative it's not allowed to be posted. The only reviews they allow on their website is positive reviews.

Susan in the Avon, Ohio Optical Department, could not have been better at her job. She was thorough, attentive, and skilled. I have several issues and she addressed all of my concerns with diplomacy, kindness, patience and even creativity. I have never had such helpful advice regarding glasses, and I have been wearing them for most of my 74 years! It was such a pleasure working with her for the last two days! I have always loved my Avon Costco and Susan S. is now a big part of that! THANK YOU SUSAN!! From Cheryl H.

Costco apparently thinks my time is not important and could care less about it. Any other store has a spot for products and may change the spot once in a while. Costco does it like every two weeks and lets me tell you there is nothing I like doing better than searching the whole store to find something. On top of that, they get something in that is wildly popular than just stop getting it. So after teaching the store over and over, you find out they just don't carry it anymore. It's a nonstop issue I'm done wasting my time with this store

I have been a Costco member for the past 20 years and spend around 5000-7000 $$ per year in Costco stores. In addition for the past 5 years I have been spending on vacation packages through Costco Travel anywhere from 3000-14000 $$ per vacation. Was very happy with Costco till I touched Costco Online furniture this January 2019.
We saw a nice looking book shelf in Costco for $ 400. But Costco store said they won't deliver it home. So, I bought the 2 book shelves from Costco online and paid extra $ 150 per book shelf for home delivery. Costco online website clearly said they will deliver it inside the house and not in the garage or block any front entrance or inside doorways. Each book shelf weighed about 300 pounds and the box measured about 4x6.5x2 feet deep. So, I paid extra $ 300 thinking it would be delivered inside my house and placed the order with Costco Online.
Surprise, surprise, 3 weeks later a truck shows up in my driveway with one driver/mover. The guy says I am going to put in your garage. I told him I paid extra $ 300 for inside home delivery but the guy would have none of it and flat out said and I quote " I don't work for Costco". You paid Costco, I deliver in your garage. After much arguing, finally the driver agreed to move it to my study which was immediately after my garage provided I help him to move. My first instinct was to turn him back and say F-off. But, I had waited for the shelves for 3 weeks and took time off from work to receive them. So, I reluctantly agreed to help him unload and then put it on a buggy and move it inside my house.
While helping to stand up the shelf in my study, I was lifting the box only with my left hand as I was in a corner and in the process tore my left arm bicep. I knew right away once I heard a snapping noise and the pain shot through my left arm. I yelled and told the mover I had injured my left arm and ran to my refrigerator to ice it hoping it was just a sprain. By then 1 book shelf was in place and now the mover calls me out to move the 2nd book shelf. I told him my left arm was already injured and the chap goes " well use your right Arm". So again I reluctantly stepped out helped him load the 2nd shelf on the buggy and moved it to our study barely helping with my right hand. we got the 2nd shelf in place finally.
By then it was close to 6 PM and decided to head to ER to see how bad was my injury on my left arm. Reston, VA ER X-ray showed no broken bones. But the ER doc looked at my left arm and the internal bleeding and swelling and said it maybe a bicep tear and asked me get it checked with a Orthopedic doctor. 4 days later Orthopedic and MRI confirmed it was a left arm bicep tear due to furniture move incident. I had to go through surgery, take 2 week off work and 4 months of physio therapy and still has not healed.
I narrated the whole incident to Costco customer service or legal and they recorded my statement and conveniently said we did not deliver the furniture. issue happened during CEVA logistics delivery company's work. So they convinced me to file a claim with this cheesy delivery company 'CEVA logistics" and told me they would follow up.
Basically, Costco washed their hands-off at that point even though I bought the furniture from website and nowhere did they say there will be a delivery company and we are not responsible. Moreover, Costco website will promise delivery inside the house but delivery company came and said nothing doing we deliver outside, deal with it !!!. Costco basically sells the furniture with all kinds of promises charges extra for home delivery and quietly retreats from the scene.
I narrated the whole incident again to this delivery company, they recorded my statement and promised an investigation. After 6 months, got back me to with a investigation result that stated
1. they were not negligent, they were not supposed to move the furniture inside the house,
2.I volunteered to help the mover and got injured in the process !!!.,
3. also implied I already had an earlier injury that I was reporting. Even though I had told them I had no previous arm injuries.
4. And much cheesy investigation results that are not worth reporting here..
Costco was copied on this investigation response from the delivery company but does not want to get involved and do the right thing.
It has been 6 months since left arm bicep tear happened during Costco furniture delivery, I went through left arm surgery, physio therapy and my left arm has still not recovered fully. Now it turns out, this will have long term implications on my left arm strength. I am talking to lawyers, doctors to understand what this means and looks like a long drawn out legal fight. So be it.
Buyer beware, just because you are buying from Costco does not mean they will take responsibility. Costco will wash their hands off and abandon you at the earliest opportunity whether you are right or completely truthful simply does not matter.
Old Costco member.

Reading another review from last month, I've found I'm not the only customer to have asked for white glove delivery and had a SUBCONTRACTED warehouse company that ordered another SUBCONTRACTED trucking company to deliver my 4 piece king bedset and say "we don't do white glove delivery," unboxed everything and left everything in my living room. To add insult to injury, they wrote "NO ASSEMBLY" on the invoice and had my mother sign, who they now blame for the assembly not done, and assembly was never brought up! Absolutely disgusted. I've been partially reimbursed from Costco, but we have now found a piece missing after putting the bedset upstairs OURSELVES. Overall disgusting experience, no amount of money can make me want to do business here again.

They send the generic GM nod letting you know after days of wondering, that your order will be there sometime. Not sure when, no making it right with customer for being inconvenienced. So disgusted...

I do not know where to start, we have had so many issues with the purchase of a Samsung French door Refrigerator. The refrigerator arrived very late in the evening a couple of weeks after ordering. Delivery service was polite and quick to work, the removed our front door in order to get refrigerator into our house. Once in they moved old refrigerator to garage, inserted new refrigerator into its place. As they pushed refrigerator into place they left a five inch scratch across my kitchen floor and a hole in my wood floor! They acted as that was no big deal, not their problem.
Tired of having these people in our house we just let them leave. Happy to at least have new refrigerator, waited awhile to let it cool. Went in after a couple of hours and started to put food into it. We went to bed thinking all was well, wrong.
Next morning milk was not cold! It was to warm. The refrigerator was 62 degrees!!!!! Everything was ruined !!!!!!!! Called Costco was told to give them 48 hours to find a service tech. We waited Samsung called us to tell us that there are no service techs in our area. They can not fix our refrigerator, please call Costco warranty service for refund. Called Costco they were very helpful, but wish English was their first language not second. Told Costco would refund money and arrange for pick up of refrigerator. I was to wait 5-7 business days for someone to call me. I waited 8 business days and had to call Costco back!! The gentleman said I should be getting a call from someone that day and I did, finally ! Arrangements made for a week later for pick up!
On the day they were to pick up refrigerator I received an odd call from Miami, someone speaking Spanish and did not seem to hear me. I hung up, thinking it was a solicitor. Ten minutes later I get a call from that number again, this time was told by a man with a heavy Spanish accent not to hang up! He was going to be at my house in ten minutes. Okay?
The pick up people arrive, neither spoke English well but we kept going. I explained 3 times to remove front door because refrigerator is to big if they don't. Okay okay they said. They took handles off refrigerator, measured it and strapped it on to move it. They did not remove front door as I had repeatedly told them to. They wedged the refrigerator into the front door opening!!! Oh no they realize they have to remove the front door!!!! They proceed to back up and remove door. Then they strap on refrigerator on again and take it out. They did come back and put my front door back on. Once they finished with my front door they leave, I went to check door to find that they scratched my door frame. Now I have to repaint!!! Never will I buy anything that requires delivery from Costco!!!

I don't even know where to start?
I purchased a washer/dryer set from Costco.com and it was set up to be delivered in 5 days. Long story short, it has been 3 weeks and still no delivery. Their customer service try's to sound like they care, they honestly do not.
I paid with my ATM, so they got my money the day I ordered. I asked the customer service lady I just spoke with if I was your father and this kind of service happened to you, what would you do? She answered she would cancel the order. I wonder how long will it take to refund my payment? I'm done with them.

Store in West Knoxville/Turkey Creek area is always extremely clean. The employees are really friendly. I do not go as often as my parents do, but my elderly parents eat lunch there and "make a day of it" and are treated like family by the employees at this Costco. I really appreciate everything about the store, including the prices, but particularly how kind the staff is.

This review is specifically to highlight the customer service we received from Costco (the fiasco which is still in process), after the installers they hired botched the installation job which resulted in a broken-down machine. The TL;DR version: Costco customer service is a joke. Although the botched installation was a violation of both electrical and plumbing code and caused damage to 2 parts of the machine (increasing the risk of additional parts breaking down the line), Costco refused to return/refund the unit and asked us to find someone to reinstall it at our own expense. Both the LG repairman and the TNT/Innovel tech who came out to evaluate/do the fix recommended we escalate and get a new machine. We escalated repeatedly and then escalated some more, to zero effect. Do not buy appliances from Costco, or arrange a trustworthy installer.
We bought a dishwasher less than a year ago (October 15 delivered/installed). Took excellent care of it.
The installer botched the installation. Did not properly install the high loop (water was going back into the machine a plumbing code violation), and did not put in a junction box (an electical violation).
Dishwasher stopped working (ie, it ran but nothing was getting properly washed). The LG repairman who came out to the house identified 2 issues with the installation (noted above), and 2 broken parts in the machine, including one of the motors. He also said (but didn't record in his report) it is very possible that the reason the machine broke was due to the installation, which means it is very possible that other parts would break in the future, and recommended seeing if we can get a new machine instead.
We have spent multiple hours interacting with Costco on this, and escalated repeatedly about as far as we could.
After additional contact, Costco asked us to get quotes for other installers (because we were out of the 90-day return/refund period, they did not want to use their own) to fix the machine and then they would compensate us $150. So in other words:
o We were to spend our time deciding who is competent and getting quotes, then paying out of pocket
o They would compensate us $150 (provided someone could do it for $150, otherwise we were to call them back to discuss "options") after this was done
o A separate visit from the repair person to fix the actual broken machine was of course still also required
To add insult to injury, Costco implied in a phone call (but we didn't catch that it was not in the email) that they would be doing the replacement and we only need to look for an installer for this new unit. The next time we managed to get a manager on the line, it turns out they were never offering a replacement. This means we may be doing this dance again in the near future.
We escalated, repeatedly, spending hours on the phone. A more senior manager up the chain agreed to find an installer for us, and to transfer the money in advance. That's when we found out they weren't planning on replacing the unit.
We escalated again, 2 ways - Costco went back to the installer and asked for a refund, since this was their fault. Via a third party, Costco asked LG to replace the unit (here is where they passed the buck and said LG chose the installer per the senior installer that came out, that is not true). Both the installer and LG refused to provide the refund or a new unit. The Costco customer support manager I spoke with said this was "standard procedure".
When the TNT/Innovel senior installer came out to do the fix, in his words, which he did not commit to paper despite our request (so as not have his company come after him): "That's a lot of work on a brand-new unit. If I were you, I'd raise hell. Sears would replace the unit. Costco is a whole other ballgame". Of note, while we communicated repeatedly exactly what was wrong with the unit, this was not even clearly shared with the installer.

Costco's Delivery service through a third party is terrible. I had them deliver 3 times and was told by Costco's "Conceirge" services that they will follow up and fix the problem each time. However, the delivery Service, JB Hunt, made no attempt to sincerely do the dishwahser installation properly. Their comments were distressing - The first one said that he had to do 17 deliveries and hence could not spend much time on one install !!!. The installation was not done properly. The third time, the installers forgot to put in the power plug and started blaming the product. Their installer's comment - "I am done with this install". Once they discovered that the plug was not put in, the installer did not check leveling or anything and just moved on saying that he was did everything he could! Best Buy installers professionally installed the same product in the first try. Very impressed with Best Buy's installation service Lone Star installation.

DON'T TRUST COSTCO OR THEIR THIRD PARTY VENDORS! I was poisoned from the bread I purchased at this location. It was Alpine Valley Organic Omega 3 bread. I found pieces of electrical wire In several pieces of bread. It was a two in one pack and I ate more than half of the product. I filed a complaint with Costco and they confiscated the bread. It toke them nearly three weeks to send the bread to the company. THEY DID NOT PULL THE REMAINING BREAD OFF THE SHELF AND CONTINUED TO SELL IT TO CUSTOMERS. I complained with the FDA but it was up to Costco and Alpine Valley Bread. THEY LIED TO THE FDA AND TOLD THEM THEY WERE IN CONTACT WITH ME ABOUT THIS MATTER, BUT THAT WAS A COMPLETE LIE! No one ever reached out to me or returned my messages. The Copper wire could have taken my life!! But they don't care because they are mega rich and people think Costco is the holy grail...
