They lost our baggage during our stopover maybe San Francisco or Panama and we didn't get our luggage until three days.
Plus when we got to the check-in counter at Bogota airport, we had to wait for almost one hour just because all the staff at the counter had no idea how to handle our visa matter. They didn't seem to issue flight tickets flying to Canada from Colombia via USA. A young female staffe who couldn't even speak English kept us waiting making an excuses like our computer system wasn't working.
But we had our Esta for the US, Eta & three-year working visas in Canada. And besides, Carring our passport, we can treval to 198 countries in the world without any problems. Even if we don't have our visa in Canada, we can still stay there for three months legally. We felt frustrated waiting at Copa airlines check-in counter. Because it wasn't that we had to wait so long standing there but because all the three staff at the counter had no professional knowledege at the airport.

Is it just me or do they not answer the phone when you call customer service? Tried so many times. When I tried to get my tickets in the airport the girl was just annoyed at her computer and basically seemed to give up rather then work with us to resolve the issue. Then we try to call customer service like she said and no one ever answers.

I had booked 3 flights but I had an event happen that same day and I called the same day I blocked the flights so that I can cancel, but they refused to cancel/refund my money even though the refund policy said I could get a refund if it was within 24hrs. And I did call with in 24hrs of the transactions.

Had 19+ flights with them! recently flew from Manaus to Punta Cana! all flights on time! nice little snacks on board! new planes and all of them well kept! sometimes they cancel a flight due to lack of demand but they will compensate you with free hotel and 300 USD vouchers to use in Panama! I read the comments, most of people here are at fault. Would fly them again!

I am very frustrated, disappointed and unsatisfied with the customer service. This has been the second issue I had with Copa Airlines and each time I call the customer service agent REFUSES to transfer me to a supervisor. This is very very unprofessional. The first time was 4months ago when I traveled with them I booked via phone because their website was down. I was NEVER informed that I would be charged a fee to book by phone vs their website even though their website was down at the time I called. This should have been a disclosure clause that was NOT done. The second issue happened today when my cousin booked a flight for my wedding in July. She accidentally booked the wrong one and immediately called them to see if she could have this corrected and we were told it would be $300 to do the change. This is absolutely ridiculous, it had been less then 1hr. Most airlines have a 24hr free cancellation and we simply wanted to make a flight change. Also, the day before we booked 16 flights since this is a wedding trip and we informed them of this and that we had every intention to buy at least 20 more tickets but they made it clear there was nothing they could do, no exceptions. Its almost like my business wasn't appreciated. The representatives both times have been very rude and make no effort to be helpful. I will not be booking again with Copa Airlines and the remaining of my guest will book through another airline that can offer us better service and appreciate our business.

Poor customer service and an absurd reschedule/change fee after I was unable to make my flight due to passport hangups. They asked me for $375 to reschedule the flight, when my ticket cost $334 (without taxes & fees). Definitely wouldn't recommend if you have other viable options.

Rude horrible people I got scammed out of my money. Flights are much more expensive than other airlines and much worse.
They were friendly to me in the beginning, before they took my money. The guy was speaking complicated spanish expecting a non fluent speaker like me to understand. I thought he said "you must leave within these days", yeah ok I know. That was supposed to be him telling me that I must have an onward ticket from my destination country which went over my head at the time. How hard would it have been to say necesita tiquete adelante or something along those lines I WOULD HAVE UNDERSTOOD THAT.
I was actually worried about not having an onward ticket and wanted to contact them. But you can only call their call center where a rude lady just told me to go to the Copa office. You cannot contact Copa by phone and get any answers, you have to go in person to even hope they notice you. I did not want to go the the office to just ask a question, so I thought that I don't need it because they did not mention it.
I woke up REALLY early for my flight and took the taxi to the airport. When I got to the desk a worker told me (very clearly this time) that I could not fly without an onward ticket. Then pointing me to buying an overpriced onward ticket from them. I do not want to buy an overpriced onward ticket that I won't use, nor do I want to bribe an immigration officer for not having one. I say I want a refund. Sure the lady says that is totally fine. We can't give you a refund here you have to go to the office you bought it from and they can give you a refund. They made it sound like I would get it just to get rid of me and save flight costs I presume.
I go the original Copa office where they are giving me glares instead of smiles now, not even caring that I have been running around with no sleep because of them and they treat me like an animal. They put me on the phone with customer service, after getting barraged with accusations from these people trying really hard to put the blame on me she then says sir your ticket is actually eligible for a refund. I say thank you, sit down and wait for literally an hour getting ignored. I go up to the desk they tell me the call center person was wrong and I won't be getting a refund. We will contact you in a few days to discuss 'options'.
I do not want to discuss 'options', which I'm sure means another flight with a hefty fee if anything at all. I have flown with many airlines I have never been treated nearly this badly than with Copa. I will not accept another flight from them if they even give me it I refuse!
That is how I got scammed out of hundreds and hundreds of dollars and ran around for days getting treated like a dog for nothing! Thanks Copa I hope your next flight takes you to hell.

I enjoyed the flight. My head rest was a little broken, but the airline staff and service was friendly. Most south americans fly copa, and i can see why. It's no delta, but its still nice. would reccomend.
