If you are based in the UK and are looking for an EV SSL - go elsewhere! The validation is based on US rules which we cannot comply with.
Customer service is very poor indeed. Live chat - number 1 in queue for 45 minutes. Still didn't get through and had to give up.
If you enjoy pulling teeth and really love terrible customer service, I would heartily recommend Comodo, as they excel at being sh*te.

My boss made me switch our company off of a certain Russian AV that I won't name and I'm glad I called Comodo. They made the switch so easy and our security is now better than ever. The management console is so seamless and within a couple days we were fully switched over!!

Great security solution!!! So easy to use, and I LOVE the containment technology. I will never use a legacy AV again. Highly recommend!

Domain Validation is extremely hard to follow. Tested Mail and CNAME Validation. None of them works. Support is unresponsive. Website and management interface seems to be from 1992.
Requested a refund and will never oder again

I purchased a code signing certificate through a 3rd party re-seller and have been stuck in verification hell for the past 2 weeks. They make you jump through endless hoops and at the end of the day it just seems like they are trying to see how much crap you will put up with. They refused a notarized phone bill purely because it was a family plan - my name was on the bill, but I wasn't the account owner which apparently was not good enough. They eventually asked me to register with Dun & Bradstreet which can take up to 30 days to process (Unless you shell out ~$200 for a rush fee). I'm just going to cancel my order and go elsewhere, I'd be willing to pay more for a cert if it means I don't have to navigate a minefield.

Very unprofessional and total amateurs to boot. You do not want to trust your PCI security to this bunch of hacks.
Also be prepared for having your questions ingnored and your time wasted. Total con-job company.

Their tech team in India are some of the most horrible con artists I ever encountered as they strung me along for almost 24 hours while experimenting with my computer, eventually, they wiped out all my files, photos etc and then they tried to justify it with the lamest idiotic excuses I have heard. Never ever trust someone from Comodo! The next time I hear someone from Comodo say "trust me, I will make your computer run like it is new" I will puke.

Happened to read this testimonial written by a company CEO. He says that it was the Comodo Endpoint Protection tool that had protected them from ransomware attacks a couple of times. It was after reading this testimonial that I surfed the internet to know more about Comodo endpoint protection and ransomware prevention. Had also come across a piece written by Comodo CEO about how their product can successfully be used to fight and block WannaCry ransomware. Interesting indeed! Hats off to the company and to the developers of such wonderful products.

Peterson: Hi
Peterson: Welcome to validation
Me: Order #xyz. I am the Certificate Requester, (Me) (+44 0000001). The Certificate Approver and Contract Signer (Client) has already validated with verification number xyz. I'm informed that you refuse to call my number to verify because it is different to the Certificate Approver and Contract Signer? I do not understand as I have purchased many EV certificates this way previously. In fact, the order from last year (Order #abc) clearly shows my contact details being different to the Approver and Signer.
Me: I need this certificate issued ASAP please
Peterson: Please wait, let me check
(10 minute pause)
Peterson: Is this your order number #xyz ?
Me: Yes
Me: I sent the documents yesterday at 15:18 BST to evdocs (at) comodo.com
Peterson: ok one moment.
(20 minute pause)
Me: You will see that (Client) has signed the subscriber agreement and that my phone number is +44 0000001
Me: And that (Client) has also verified with the verification number you provided
(20 minute pause)
Me: Hello?
Peterson: one moment.
(30 minute pause)
Me: .
Peterson: But we can call only to the verified number #abc
Peterson: , is (Client) will be available on that number ?
Me: You've already called (Client) on that number, you was provided with the verification code above
Me: Feel free to call again, but my phone number is still +44 0000001
Me: As it states on the subscriber agreement
Me: that the client signed
Me: You can check with (the client) that is my phone number, if that helps?
Peterson: Let me transfer to my colleague, he/she will assist you regarding this.
Please wait while I transfer the chat to 'Tina'.
You are now chatting with 'Tina'
Me: Perhaps you can help?
Me: Comodo seem to be making this process as slow and painful as possible
Tina: Please hold on.
(30 minute pause)
(I'm yet to find out if this will be resolved).
Comodo seem to assume that companies only ever have one phone number and one person at the end of said phone who is responsible for SSL certificates. If you are an agency/supplier trying to arrange one for a company with a size greater than one employee, you should expect to be wound up like a clock spring at the immense ineptitude displayed at every opportunity.
Worse is if they insist on an automated call and the company in question has an automated phone system to direct calls. Thankfully, that's not at all common.

If you ask me which antivirus is good for individual users, I won't recommend Comodo. But their endpoint security product is the best for enterprises. Undoubtedly the best.

Very bad support.
If you would like to chat with a person in order to get support, just forget it! You will have to wait over 20min from answer to answer.

In spite of providing multiple verifiable official government records, they want a phone number validation from DNB! Why DNB? Why phone verification? Absolutely ridiculous! Avoid at all costs!

So I decided on spolashing out and upgrading our SSL to a shiney new glowing EV SSL by Comodo.
I paid my hard earned cash and then spent the next 2 weeks exchanging emails via there stupid ticket system which they seem incapable of sending or answering 1 message every 24 hours which makes the whole process longer due to the time they take.
So I spend 2 weeks sending my personal details and company details. I have to change my address is DNB because there are 2 letters in the wrong place and then get past the phone call and I finally get told I have passed and my new EV certificate is going to be issued.
I wait and wait and another 24 hours past I emailed and asked where my certificate is, 24hours later they reply telling me it has been sent and if I do not have it to email them... exactly what I just did!!!!!!!!!!
I email them again and wait another 24 hours.. they reply telling me to email back on monday as there having computer issue.
I waiting 48 hours longer and email on the monday only to be told they have no records and I have to start the whole process and application all over again!!!!!
I have 20 SSL cetificates from comodo and I now plan to change to another SS provider once they expire!

Avoid at all costs. I used them a year ago and had a terrible experience, have used them again recently and it was even worse.
Terrible, user-unfriendly and painfully slow validation process. You can have all the correct documentation in the world, but it seems writing it on a paper aeroplane and throwing it in the air would probably be more successful.
Customer service even worse. Tried by e-mail and received poorly worded responses, tried by phone and spoke to the rudest agent I've probably ever spoken to (seriously, it was comical. Silence instead of a hello and a hang-up instead of a goodbye.)
Can't repeat enough - use another provider for your SSL certificate if you want it within three weeks and without having to chase them up every step of the way.

Whereas Comodo handles the basics reasonably well, it is the most intrusive firewall I have ever used and the accompanying browsers are most unreliable.
You get the sense that Comodo is more concerned with protecting others from you than you from others. The recommended "secure" dns servers will block fairly inocuous and established sites such as Blogspot and Music Stacks as 'Warez' sites. Music Stack is a record collectors site which I use for my work. Although Blogspot may contain some links to such sites, I am unaware of them and this seems a very heavy-handed approach. If you try to mark such sites as safe, the software will reject you. You cannot be trusted with your own activity.
The 'secure' browsers that Comodo packages (basically hacked versions of Firefox and Chrome) are atrocious. The Chrome clone barely works at all, crashing within a day every time I reinstalled it. The Firefox clone insists on using every mb of processing power your computer has available regardless of what else you may be doing.
It comes packaged with a utility called 'Geek Buddy' which seems suspiciously similar to a remote access tool. What it really is, of course, is an opportunity to nag you.
While the core firewall protection seems pretty effective, it is still sometimes necessary to use Malwarebytes or some other tool to repair what Comodo has been unable to prevent.
My first experience with this software was some years ago. What I liked about it then was that it was lightweight, unobtrusive and fairly silent. These are the very opposite of what it has become - another opportunity to police your internet activity on someone else's behalf.

This company is the worst I've seen. It's been a month now that we're waiting for the validation of our certificate. The communication via support tickets is useless, they keep asking the same information again and again,
each time in a slightly different and unclear way and do not take into account the situation of a non-US company. We've given all the information that we could to prove our identity and it's never enough.
If want to loose time, money and mental sanity Comodo is here to help.

Stay away from Comodo. We wait for the ssl certificaat for more than 2 weeks now. How difficult can it be? They have all company information they asked for. Ridiculous it takes such a long time now. Our domain host is providing this service and making use of the comodo services. I feel sorry for them comodo delivers such a poor performance.

Oooh my, where do I start...
We purchased EV SSL Certificate from them and everything was fine when we needed to do the verification of the extended license.
I agreed on a time when they can call me and verify, talked to them and got assured we will get the certificate next day. Two days after I reached out to the customer support to find our that our certificate was not validated :) no records of phone calls or anything. A bit annoying but I did the verification one more time. This time we did validate it and got it in couple of hours.
Now you ask what is problem here?
First the people they employ to do the verification can barely speak English, that is ridiculous for a company that size. 2nd if you need some support after that, DO NOT count on it.
I have never seen so incompetent and lame customer services reps ever! I will not go in more details because just thinking about it makes me crazy!
Overall I DO NOT recommend them. After the 1st year I will definitely go elsewhere. WHAT A SHAME!

Comodo doesn't care about the government issued documents for validation.
Only document they care is DUNS number!!
Not the state issued documents nor IRS issued documents.
Only holy DUNS number.
There must be a close relationship between comodo and dun&bradstreet.
