Broke a small window on our old residential door. Found Coast and received excellent service. Fast (made it while I waited) and extremely professional and friendly. Also great price. Thank you!

Wonderful service. Great repair of a 100 year old mirror (we know because we saw the date on the back when it was repaired). So happy we could save the bathroom cabinet unit when we remodeled the main floor bath. It looks amazing. Thanks!

I'm extremely happy I discovered Coast Mirror! We are restoring/updating our Mid Century house and have relied on CMC for multiple projects during this ongoing process. They made 'Antique' finish mirrors for our 1960's bar cabinets and wall, cut a thick clear glass table top for a vintage LV steamer trunk we are now using as a coffee table and installed 2 glass shower doors (goodbye ugly shower rod and moldy curtains!) for us. The turnaround time is usually around a week! We were so pleased with their quality of workmanship and fair pricing that we had them create an entire wall of Mirrors in our living room! Rick and his crew are a rare find of old school craftsmanship for modern looks and designs. Chances are you've seen their work at various trendy bars and hotels in the Portland area. If you need custom Mirror or glass work done and want honest and reliable service that they stand behind, go to Coast Mirror. Like some of the other comments stated, this is a real workshop and not a showroom with commissioned salespeople so come prepared with your measurements and ideas and they will definitely take care of you! Fantastic!

Great prices. The guys that work there are helpful and smart. They get the job done! The girl that answers the phone is one of the worst potential people they could have representing their business. I'm not sure if this is the owners daughter or what, but it's a really bad look. She's not a good communicator, has no sense of customer service, and comes off slightly rude/aloof.

Erick is awesome.
Carla (sp?) by phone is awesome.
Carla in person casts a pall on the experience.
But you will NOT beat their ability to get you what you need. So suck it up, smile extra at Carla, and love the glass you get. You won't regret it.

I needed a hole drilled in a large empty aquarium and a lot of other local glass shops would not do it because of liability concerns. I called Coast Mirror which said they would do it and for a great price. I dropped it off at closing and got a call first thing the next morning saying it was already done. Went perfect without a single scratch or chip! I will be recommended this shop for anyone with similar needs.

I have used this company a few times now and they have always provided me with a prompt turn around time with the glass I have ordered. I've gotten some nice beveled edge glass tops for my antiques with this company and have never been disappointed with their quality of work

It sounds to me like Yelpers are expecting a restaurant/silver platter experience at an industrial facility. WTF?
Get your head on straight, people. Judge these people on their product, not their "service". Coast Mirror offers, cut-to-order glass and mirrors. I give them dimensions and they deliver a product perfectly every time. Bevelled corners, different finishes or polishes, whatever you want, they totally pull it off.
And by the way, when I showed up, they had called me telling me my order was ready, and then they helped me to my car with the glass, placing it in my trunk for me.
I've been a repeat customer for about 8 years. My experience has also been consistent throughout.
This isn't Coast Blowjobs or Coast Dating Service. It isn't Coast Oyster House, either. You're here for fucking glass. And they deliver, consistently, quickly, and inexpensively.
I don't care if it is dirty: it's a fucking industrial facility. What next, Yelpers? Are you going to bitch that Les Schwab smells like tyres?
Wake up.

I went in to talk about getting a custom sized mirror for my kitchen. The owner helped me out and listened attentively while I showed him pictures of my kitchen and discussed measurements. As luck had it, he had an in-stock mirror that worked so I didn't need it custom cut. I ordered some other custom-cut mirrors that were on my to-do list and went home with the in-stock mirror. I went in with a budget of $200 and got everything for under $150. Eric was all about saving me money, which I really appreciate.
I asked Eric how long he has had that place, and he said he worked there for 30 years, and just took over the business last year. I'm guessing from older Yelp reviews that the previous management was not so great. The current owner is a nice guy and it's a totally different vibe.

Ditto the previous poster about rudeness. It's the most unhelpful, unfriendly vibe. Never a "Hello" "Thanks" or a "Sure, we can do that".
The place is grungy, which I can handle, but the woman I picked my mirror up from the other day was so unfriendly I thought I was dealing with a Soviet burocracrat. I was the only person in the whole building and I don't think she even looked at me let alone offer if she could give me a hand with the heavy/awkward/fragile mirror. I mean, that's not just bad customer service - that's just rude human behavior. The fact that they seem to be a local/small business makes it more weird that they are such assholes to customers when they have a chance to do better.

Here's the deal. Yes, they have a great selection of glass. Yes, they make custom whatever you need. BUT! These folks are the rudest a-holes I've ever dealt with. EVERY time I've gone there (notice the use of past tense), they've been surly. It doesn't matter how nice I am or not. I'm done with them.
