One of the WORST decisions we've made. Should have gone with Square from the very beginning.
If you want your business to lose even more money and close it's door, go ahead and get Clover.
Everything has a fee in this POS (Piece of S***T) system.
Want to print labels for your orders? Download an app and pay $7 a month.
Wand to include promotions like Buy one Get one deals? Sure! Download another app and pay more money.
Want your employees to clock in/out? Awesome. We have an app for that. $50 more a month!
They tell you this POS can do everything. What they don't tell you is they charge you for every little thing you want it to do.
I wouldn't be surprise if two weeks from now, you will have to buy an app to open the cash register.
When you close out, Cash isn't included in the print out. You probably have to download a freaking app for that.
Also, their customer service reps are all overseas.
This POS is like a bad contractor. You just keep pouring more money in thinking all will be done. But no, they will keep asking for more money.
That $40-50 a month that clover charges at the end of the day will turn into a $400 a month charge just to use the Clover Platform. Plus the $35 service fee their resellers charges. Add all the apps you have to download to make the POS actually work. This system is GARBAGE.
It is NOT worth your time, money or effort. Also, you cannot RESELL your clover machine if you decide to change POS. They lock it because they want you to stay in this horrible bankruptcy causing structure.

I tried reaching out on messenger about some features I’d like to clear up before switching from square to clover and they only reply to the questions they want to answer! Now they aren’t even replying so I decided to go google search and review it myself. Glad I didn’t switch from square to clover.

If you want to your business get shuted down because of merchant service , you definitely should choose Clover go in combination with Bank Of America !!!
This is just ridiculous, they was HOLDING all our funds for 15 days WITHOUT MAKING ONE CALL!!!!
After that they took a deposit of 10.000$ because transaction are 'risky' and after a week we have a hold of 22.000 AGAIN !!!\
Im trying to reach them, but no one is answering on more than 50 calls at least to talk with business owner that show them a trust for choosing them to run his business !!! AND THEY ARE DOING THEIR BEST TO SHUT HIM DOWN !!!

The sales rep does not tell you have to buy this useless piece of crap for $100 plus $5.00 tax and the shipping fee is $37.50, they just deduct it from your bank account..... isn't that nice!!! The application fee is $100 plus $5.00 month security fee and $4.95 monthly usage fee
Customer service excels in their incompetence only with their ignorance and ineptitude.
So... I was ripped off for $250+ dollars for a piece of sh'! credit card processor when Square does it for a flat fee on sales. You got me good this time you vile rectum faced scumbags

I’m very careful about leaving bad reviews because I know how it can affect your business but I hope if you are considering using this company you see this one. They have the absolute worst customer service I’ve ever experienced with any company. I decided to leave and go to a different POS after three years because of it and I’ve been trying for two months to get things cancelled and it still hasn’t happened after hours and hours on the phone and email after email. I bought my equipment outright and it can’t be transferred. $4000 of equipment is going in the garbage. Don’t do it!! Find another Point of sale!!! There are some good ones out there. Very very disappointing!!

all our machines are down. nobody from Clover picking up the phone
I understand this isn't just us it is Uk wide but in such a situation Clover should have an email way of contacting all clients to tell them what is going on and how long this will last for. We are a hotel and have clients in and out all the time paying at the bars and on check in. Disaster.

This company has no clue how to service the hospitality industry. They are attempting to apply tech-style product management with zero understanding of the major issues they cause on the user end with quite literally every move they make. On top of this their support is so poor it takes 10 minutes jumping through hoops in the phone just to get to the support center where you might be on hold for as long as an hour...all during a busy service. HIGHLY recommend any other POS

This is the hardest company to work with. When I call with an issue they repeat the issue back wrong. I thought it was just because it was the first time I was calling. Nope! After several phone calls the same thing. I’ve only once had an issue resolved the first time I called. Today I called twice. The first person did nothing to help. The second person found the problem and discovered the clover had to be replaced. It’s under warranty so it would be replaced for free but the over night shipping is on me. Why? They can’t say why. I asked for a supervisor and they refused to get on the phone and told me to call my sales rep. The order was cancelled. In the time I was on hold, I contacted and received an answer from my rep. We decided on a resolution and by the time Clover got back on the phone, the order could no longer be requested and now I have to call back tomorrow to start all over again with this process. Unless you want to be nickeled and dimed for everything you need to run your business look else where for a POS system that has good customer service.

I agree with some of these previous reviews in that if I could score less than 1 star I would. Long story short I was promised these devices would accept a particular gift card which my restaurant used in the past which they were never able to get working despite that promise. I was told the range of the devices were great which within our small restaurant they kept dropping. One device also wouldn’t charge and when I called the support line was placed on hold for an hour and a half to which was then disconnected and no call back was made despite have my number, this is just a couple a issues we had in the one shift they were used, the least could go on and on. We used these devices literally once and since have been trying to return them. It’s been 7weeks and I can’t seem to get anyone to take the machines back. They are a leased device so I’ve been charged to have them sitting and collecting dust. I’ve sent 17email 27phone calls to the 1888 number 14 calls to the rep who signed us up 8 text messages with that person as well. I’ve now spoken with 11 different people giving me 11 different answers on returning them as to which I’ve jumped thru every hoop and have done all that was asked and still have the units. I’ve been promised 6 times boxes were coming for me to return them which still have yet to come. So currently still have the units which have been used once! Customer support is beyond terrible in fact arguably the worst I have ever experienced in my life! Was promised I would not be charged for the units and cancelation fees would be waved but have yet to see this happen.

Clover customer services and support sucks!
Took over 2 hours to get someone to anwser the phone. I'm locked out of my account and was told to wait 48 hours and try again. They are not able to send out an email to reset a password! Really!! If this is a nation wide problem, then Clover should have a way of contacting all clients to tell them what's going on and provide an estimated time when the problem will be resolved.
I've been with Clover for 6+ years and its time to leave. Technical support and customer service is below zero! I've had enough. I understand why customers / clients are leaving.

i Have been using my clover flex since April 2019 and the device is excellent. It takes payments in lighting speed and for my deliveries i am able to email the customers receipts and capture their data for my mailing list. I have just recently had to do my pci compliance and Julie helped me to complete the form so it took me about 20 minutes rather than the hours i spent on it before.
Excellent machine and excellent service. I will never go back to a normal terminal again.

Less than 1 if I can bad serive. They give me system and they said 29 a month no other fees . But they charge 36 one time month and again 50 on same month I call to coustmer care and they said they call me back but they didn't. And the guy nick who gave the system he said call me when u need help but he is not answering ... bad serive don't go with clover..

A lovely lady Julie Vanderplank was the rep for Clover and made using the machine etc. a breeze.
Julie explained everything as well as doing most of the leg work on our behalf. We had a few teething issues in getting started but that was nothing to do with Clover.
The machine is a doodle to use and has allowed us to take payments via the phone and prevent any lost revenue.
I personally would recommend the system.

If you can see anybody putting 5* about this company I can tell you know it’s the company itself. I got scammed into a 4 year contract by a woman who goes by the name of Emma, she walked in looking professional and clearly had the gift of the gab to make me believe this company and the terminal was amazing. She showed me one sheet I had to sign with no detail and gave her word it was a 12 month contract. I then find out my friend rang up to find she was in a 4 year contract and oh would you look at that, so am I. Without my concent. I later rang and asked them to show me my contract (as they did not email it me until I asked which is illegal) to find that there was a 12 page contract in which I did not see and I could not get out of unless I paid a fee of £2000. Please everyone read my self and everyone’s comment, please don’t make the mistake we have. Disgusting company.

1 accounting is a machine
2 when speaking to someone in accounting they don’t know what they are doing
3 not restaurant user friendly
4 the category and modifier setting on the pos don’t go hand in had
5 have to pay extra for payment buttons and discount buttons
6 if credit card reader break they don’t replace it if a lease the collect 200$ for the new one
7 if you buy out clover it don’t cover the card reader or the system
8 if you lease it and find a better system there is no one to answer the call, the answer machine just tells you what to do and then clover will try to charge 2000$ to break the lease.
9 just don’t buy it !!

My machine is declining card payments. Loosing business. I have called every number clover has on the website, all the numbers are dead lines. No ring tone to them. Something fishy going off. How do i contact them? They don't even bother calling you to say the card payment system is down through out the UK. What do I do?
