Beautifully crafted furnishings

Our furniture arrived in immaculate condition at 10:30 in the morning on the 10th of January 2020. By noon it had been installed and by suppertime it was already in use. It looks absolutely great which both pleases us no end and confirms our good taste and superior design sense! It’s been quite an eventful experience from our first visit to the Chilton show rooms back in early September to our subsequent communications about international customs require-ments, brokers, packing, shipping arrangements and so on. Throughout we’ve enjoyed the support, encouragement, and sound advice of Helene McCrea of Mathers Logistics here in Dartmouth. Judy Sher and the folks at Sure Express did a superior job of crating and transporting our order. And Hoyt Movers, their Halifax/Dartmouth moving company did a very efficient job of unloading/unpacking, setting up all of our pieces. It took them about an hour in all, including clean-up. To Jill and Wanda and all the folks at the Chilton Furniture Co., thank you deeply and sincerely. Would that we could also thank the talented people who crafted our furniture pieces. Thanks to Chilton's excellent website (and extremely helpful showroom personnel), I picked out the Bethel Bookcase with drawer on line. Salespeople took additional photos for me and spent some extra time with my numerous questions and the final result is that I have a beautifully crafted and functional new piece of furniture delivered by a careful and very helpful delivery crew. More than I could have wished for in the actual piece of furniture and the people. Many thanks!

I'm quite pleased with all three items, bed, dresser, and chair. The deliverymen were pleasant and professional.

We had this 6-door piece built in hard maple with the limed oak finish. We could not be happier with how it turned out. We asked for some custom changes, and Herb could not have been more helpful and informative. This was not our first piece from Chilton, and it will certainly not be our last

I ordered a custom sized Shaker Dining Table and the Chilton was very accommodating and I recently picked the item up at the showroom. Not only was the staff pleasant and helpful, but they made sure I was happy with the product prior to my departure. It now is sitting in my kitchen and looks amazing. I think the craftsmanship and materials are high quality and I will certainly consider Chilton again for other furniture needs.

An amazing bed, beautifully crafted!

The custom dresser you built for us is lovely. We are very pleased with the way it looks and how nicely the drawers pull and store.

We bought a platform bed and were so pleased with the quality of the product and the service that we bought another! Two years ago we also bought 4 dining chairs and were equally happy.

We purchased two pieces from the Penobscot bedroom collection, both the dresser and the sleigh bed. We could not be happier with them. The craftsmanship is gorgeous and the delivery was a breeze. Thank you Chilton for providing timeless pieces that we will have for years to come.

Chilton makes 5 star furniture. The finishes are beautiful, simple, and elegant. The furniture is sturdy and seems worth the price (this is our first purchase). Staff is always friendly and willing to answer any questions! We would definitely recommend Chilton for your next furniture purchase, as long as your looking for well built beautiful pieces!

We ordered the Shaker Extension dining table from Chilton but we had it custom made in walnut. The construction is extremely solid and the extension mechanism is smooth and easy to use. It is nice to see true craftsmanship and an American made product. I suspect the kids will argue over this table some day but first we will enjoy it for many years to come. This is the first time we had ordered from Chilton and we could not be happier with the overall experience, and it was nice working with a family owned business. Very happy overall and would highly recommend them.

We love our beautiful oval extension dining table made in walnut with beautiful grain and craftsmanship - it's simply beautiful to look at. We use is it every day and it is sturdy and still is as perfect after over 1 year. We had it delivered to Maryland as if Chilton was right next door too!

excellent service and furniture

It's the table I was expecting, beautiful, well built and very versatile.

Quality is good, however a 13 week turnaround is simply too long, especially when you consider the size of the product ordered, 2 small bookcases. I plan to continue updating my home but will choose another retailer to help me furnish.

The team here really cares, and I am able to find locally-made wood furniture that is built to last and at a reasonable price. There is just no other furniture store around where I can find that. I love shopping here.
