I had some issues regarding my hotel booking and tried to reach them, but they made me wait for so long and never answered me properly what i was curious about, They said they would check and call me back, but they did not and I had to call them again and this whole proceed just became annoying.

Booked a hotel four months in advance because it said no cancellation fee, so I figured if I needed to make a change no big deal. I actually paid a HIGHER rate so that I could have free cancellation up to 24 hours prior to booking. One month later, (three months before the travel date) I had to cancel because I ended up having a class that day. I called and they will cancel it but I incur a $40 fee for cancelling, even though I PAID FOR THE NO CANCELLATION FEE PROTECTION PLAN. They wouldn't do anything for me except charge my credit card a $40 fee, which they had on record so I couldn't do anything about it. STAY FAR AWAY! On a side note, I never received an email confirmation of my booking so I emailed them about 6-7 times over the span of three weeks, NEVER got a response. Ever. Called their number, was on hold for a lifetime, the recording kept saying to go to the website and email and get a response "within a few hours". That's crap. They don't respond. And don't keep their promises, either. STAY AWAY!

These guys are a crock, don't believe a word they say. I booked a room online for my wedding in Temecula. They sent me an email with my reservation, I then told wedding party, parents, friends and family where we were staying. 4 days later I booked 3 more rooms for family over the phone. They gave me killer deals as they told me each room would receive a 50 dollar credit in 4 business days, I had a 40 dollar promo code but decided to take the deal over the phone instead as it was obviously better. I called back to rebook my room that I had booked 4 days ago. That is when they told me that room was not confirmed as the hotel was now booked and they cancelled it while I was on the phone with them. I asked how the hotel could be full when I just booked 3 rooms that day. They couldn't tell me. They acted like they didn't understand what I was saying. They told me I could call back the next day to speak with Faban their Manager. When I called he was never there and I had to speak with Caden again. Caden's only solution was to cancel the rooms I did book. Cuz that solves things, or I could book a Suite at the hotel for full price. So I had to book that room through AAA at a higher rate as time had past. Then when I called to talk about the 50 dollars they were suppose to credit back to my card which they never did, they told me the hotel raised the price on them so they were not able to do that all of a sudden. They tell you whatever it is you want to hear in order to get you to book and then they don't follow through. Their only solution to things is, "we can cancel the reservation for you" knowing as time goes by rooms get more and more expensive. These guys are 100% con artists and need to have their business license revoked!!! I'll never use them again. Trying to figure out how to file a claim against them with the BBB.

Resort fee for the LVH is in very small print and was more than the nightly rate. What a ripoff - did not even use the internet or safe that was covered under the resort fee. The safe was broken in the room and LVH would not take off the resort fee.

They don't itemize what “fees” are included in their exorbitant rates! They list $38 for Hooters Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on 01/11/2014. When I clicked thru, the total charge was $97 – more than twice the alleged room fee. If I go to Hooters website, their room rate is $55 with a grand total of $76.10, so $21.10 in taxes and fees. Cheapostay is charging $59 in taxes and fees. Why on earth would anyone book with them? Very misleading and very shady. Do NOT book with them.

Reserved room for hotel in Albuquerque, NM. Called hotel same day to find out hours for check-in & they stated they didn't have our reservation. Cheapostay had already charged our card & no reservation. Went to hotel website for costs to reserve directly to them & it was cheaper. Called cheapostay to cancel & the submitted refund but charged $15 service fee...service fee for what? There was no reservation ever made.

Is one star is the minimum that I can rate them? Horrible customer service, wait on the phone for a long time before an agent comes on the line. On a Sunday, I booked a room for a weekend a month away at the Embassy Suites in Anaheim, CA. Because of a hectic work week, when I checked my email the following Friday, I found out that there are two booking numbers for the intended weekend. Basically, the agent booked me twice. I called to adjust the booking, I was told that it's non-refundable. I was transferred around to different agents. Then an agent said that she will try but can not promise that I would get a refund; she would call me back. So basically, instead of paying $314.51 for one room for the weekend. I was charged $629.02 for two rooms. Also, I booked for two adults, myself and my wife, and my three boys. The itinerary only shows two adults. This is a terrible experience. I definitely will tell all my friends and family member to stay away from cheapostay.com.

AVOID CRAPO...OOOPS CHEAPO STAY LIKE THE PLAGUE.Be very careful of this site. They certainly don't advertise the fact but if you dig a little you will discover that they charge you a booking service fee of $35 per room per night, in fact it seems closer to $50.I thought I could save a few bucks using thier $15 off coupon. Was trying to book a room for $36 when I noticed that taxes AND FEES came to over $54.I thought there was a problem with thier web site and called to make the booking.I got to enjoy that oh so common language and accent nightmare and was told the same price.I tried e-mailing thier customer service but received no response at no time was there any mention of the service fee.Had I not been paying attention even with the $15 off I would have paid almost $80 to book my $36 room through cheapo stay....this service is rediculous and almost a rip off but again if you dig you will find out about the fees.

Had absolutley no issues with this website. All our reservations - hotel, airlines and car rental - were as they should be. No problems were encountered during any leg of our trip. The agent who helped me book, was also very good.

I found this site and it was a lot cheaper than any other places I had looked. I immediatley got conformation and had no problems when I checked in at the motel. I would use them again. I received a call from a service rep and she was very pleasant.

We booked our motel in Estes for a Super 8 Motel that these guys helped us find. A week later we went to the motel to sign in and had the paperwork from CheapOstay with us. About 30 minutes later the Super 8 person said that the CheapOstay companies card had been declined altho they did take my money the previous week when I booked from them online. So I had to again pay for the motel on my own which then I found that it was cheaper to do that way anyway. Cheapo charged me 129.31 and I got the same deal on my own directly for 105.32 and of course my card wasn't declined! I'm still dealing with them on this trying to get this stupid card off my card!

I was looking around for a good deal on a hotel reservation in Sacramento. Think that I had found it, I booked with cheap o stay. The problem came when my credit card statement arrived with an extra fee. After calling cheap o stay and getting the run around I was finally told that the fee I was charged was mentioned on their website. The guy was kind of rude and said I should have read the whole thing. Well, I thought I had. They get you in the fine print, that's what it's all about. I will NEVER book anything with this company again. I don't recommend anyone else use them either. The hidden fees (in the fine print) is what will get you.

I have never had a problem with this site. I have used many different third party travel sites and once or twice it will happen that information does not get passed to the hotel properly. That or it doesn't get put into the hotels system properly by their employees. It happened to me once with Orbitz. A well known site. I just think people should know better than to try and change reservations and dates and read the fine print on cancellations. If you do not it is your own fault. It may be cheap, but we have to be smart enough to know who and what you are paying for. If you do that you should be all good. As long as you have your papers and unless a hotel is REALLY sold out, in my experience they will be more than happy to help you get a room for the advertised rate shown on the travel site. They cannot show hotels names and hotels published rates without liscenced permission. It's right there next to the info on how to cancel and change bookings. Duh people. Be smart.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE
I work for a hotel in the Madison, WI area. I called the help number to try and assist a woman who booked her room through this site. They charged her $102 for what we would have charged her $88. She book the room but we never received payment . After sitting on hold for 45 mins I finally got to speak to a representative whose response was that they would send us a check for the transaction. Sadly enough if we don't receive the check in a week i will be forced to charge her credit card. Bottom line is these sites overcharge you and you should just call the hotel to book the room. Hotels can always offer discounts for things such as AAA and AARP. I hope to never have to do business with this site or these people in the future.

On Saturday June 25th, 2011 around 2:15pm, my boyfriend made a reservation at the Holiday in Inn in Parsippany, NJ located on RT 46 East. The reservation was made for the same day Saturday June 25th, 2011. When the reservation was completed including credit card information the amount was deducted right away from his account and a confirmation form was emailed to him.
We proceeded to the Hotel. Once we arrived to the hotel to check-in we were soon told that there was no reservation in his name and the confirmation number was missing two numbers. My boyfriend and I then called Cheap-O stay to question our reservation. We first called the number for customer service but after being on hold for 15 minutes and disconnected 4 times we called and pressed the number to "make a reservation" which someone did answer. We explained our dilemma; the representative placed us on hold yet again and did not return. It got to the point where my boyfriend and I were highly upset and we realized this was an internet scam. We viewed the confirmation paper they email after the room was completely paid for and booked. They have your payment amount which they already deducted, they give you your room request with a confirmation number, an area on the paper stated, "room: Unconfirmed". What hotel services allow costumers to purchases a room in advance for the same day and give you confirmation number without a confirmed room? At this point we were extremely frustrated and we both called at the same time because they staff would hang up on us and continue to place us on hold for 20min. We called about 8 times. It came to the point where I called again and asked not to be placed on hold and demanded answers.
One representative stated that he did not know why the reservation did not go through and place me on hold. I hung up and called again. Another representative had no answers and placed me on hold. I hung up the phone yet again and redialed. The next representative, by the name of Danae answered. Danae rudely stated to me that it takes 24hrs to confirm a room. I then asked her, "Why would a confirmation paper be sent for a room for the same day and deducted out of the account if it takes 24grs to book a room then?" She than began to speaker in a hostile tone and said, "Mam we did not take the money out of your account its pending and you will not receive a room the same day you book it that is why your room is unconfirmed."
My boyfriend then had to call his bank, the bank then called the Cheapostay on 3-way where we spoke to a Cheapostay representative names Bert. Our bank helped us to cancel the transaction to make sure we receive our refund. They said it will take up to 14 business days which I never heard of as well, even though they took the money out within the hour we booked it. We were highly upset that it was a false room reservation, and then they deducted the money out of the account right after the reservation was made, the customer service was unacceptable and CheapOstay should not be a business because they are unethical and scamming people out of their hard worked money and we are dissatisfied with their horrendous service.

I was pleasantly surprised that this site actually was worth its weight. I am a chronic ''shop around for the best price'' kinda gal, lol! So when i used this site to book my hotel stay, you can be sure it had the best price anywhere. Let me tell....I had numerous searches going, i was checking every site possible! Cheapostay.com had the cheapest total price before and after any tax etc. There was nothing hidden. I will definitely be using this website again!

The site was really easy to use and the rates were better than any other cheap hotel site I found. The hotel had reservation and absolutely no problem. The only thing to be aware of is you usually pay when you make the reservation unless it states otherwise.

I have already requested someone contact me about this issue. It seems as though I am not going to receive further assistance.
On April 21, 2011 I went to cheapostay.com to reserve a hotel for my families California vacation, there was a glitch on the site and I had a double booking. I entered all my credit card info press the process button and there was another screen that popped up automatically. I thought this would be the confirmation but no, it was an offer to enroll in there millage program. After enrolling, my card info and everything was still on the first screen. It looked as though nothing was sent and I had made no reservation. The reservation was for April 21, 2011 the same day I was booking. I noticed the double booking when I saw my bank account, I proceeded to call twice that day to reverse the second reservation. The first time I called I was disconnected. The second time I called I was told the hotel help desk is closed and to call back the next day. The following day Friday the 22nd I was told I would see a refund within 3-4 business days. I called back 3 days later when I saw no refund post and was told I would see a refund within 8-10 business days. 14 days had passed and there was no refund. I called back and I was told "we are working on getting your refund it will post to your account within 8-10 weeks". Keep in mind, through all these calls being made I am hung up on repeatedly and on hold for countless minutes turning into hours. I have lost all trust at this point and go directly to my bank to dispute the charge. My bank put the money for the canceled reservation back in my account. Yesterday June 28, 2011 I see my bank was unable to win the dispute so they take the money back out of my account causing my account to go into overdraft.
I begin to make calls to cheapostay again. I have learned at this point to call from two phones just in case one hangs up on me. To no surprise, the first rep was unable to solve my issue, that's the end of my first 25 minute call. So I still have my other phone going and a manager answers this phone. She puts me on hold for 35 minutes total to come back on the line to yell to me "you must take responsibility for your own mistakes, all websites are not created the same and if you did not get an automatic confirmation the first time you should have waited." "We tried twice to reverse your hotel stay and the hotel only gave us back part of it so you only get part of it." "If you were to have called on that day we could have negotiated on that day to cancel your reservation with the hotel." Problem is I did call on that day twice.
I'm not one to roll over easy and just get walked on. I will take this to small claims court with my proof of many phone calls, overdraft fees and countless time spent with this "company", and sue for it if I reach no resolve.

They have always had good prices and I have always been very satisfied. I would definitely recommend them to other people to use.
