This has been BY FAR the most terrible service I have ever experienced in my life! I was in the US for an exchange year and opened a bank account. So far so good - until covid sent me home in a rush. I couldn’t close my account in person, so I tried to contact them from my country. Turns out they are only available through phone calls, with a minimum of 1 hour on hold, which I was not willing to pay from Germany. I hit the email that the guy who opened my account provided me for „support“. Nobody got back to me. I had a US friend call them and tell them about my problem. He showed up there three Times and they asked him to leave the building. I tried to do a wire transfer of my last money on there, chase then decided to block my whole account because of suspicious action. Now I could do nothing anymore. I refuse to call them and pay hundreds of dollars! Their service is TRASH and nobody cared about my problem. After a MONTH of begging and emailing, someone finally called ME in my country and unblocked my account. They said they would send me a document right away to close my account. I NEVER got this document. Ever. Now I’m in the same situation as before. They want me to call them. I am MAD af and now they actually dared to subtract 12$ account fee even though I told them a month before I want this account closed. I am done. I would give -12 stars if I could. Don’t bank with chase.

Chase Bank is the worse bank anyone can go to. I have been at the bank for 11 years, throughout my tenure with Chase, they have done some of the most unethical and unprofessional things to my account including refusing to give me the interest earned on my savings account. The latest problem, I am a bookkeeper and 2 clients have Chase accounts and Chase allowed fraud on both of these people's accounts and refuse to honor their security measures. 1 of them someone wrote fraudulent checks that were even made out to a payee, weren't signed and just had $200 in the box on the face of the check and Chase cashed 10 of them and when my client made a claim they told him he should have watched his account and refuses to give him the money back despite it was clearly bank error and fraud. The other one they allowed someone to steal 19K from her account and never checked with their customer first, she went through hell getting her money back. Mine, they returned my rent payment despite the fact there was plenty of money in my account to pay the rent check, when I called Chase I was told "oops, look like this is all on us". Yes it is and thanks for sending my landlord a email that says my rent was returned for insufficient funds. When I asked Chase to send a email to my landlord explaining it was their fault, they refused leaving me with a bad mark on my stellar credit. GO TO ANY OTHER BANK BESIDE CHASE UNLESS YOU FEEL LIKE BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF AND USING A BANK WHO STEALS MONEY FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS. HORRIBLE BANK AND I HAVE FILED A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH THE FDIC AND THE FTC. They have been involved in a class action lawsuit a few years back for doing unethical transactions on people accoutns and Chase lost and had to pay people money, which I was a part of that class action suit and received money, you would think they would have learned their lesson then.

If I could give the Chase 0 stars I would. I observed unauthorized actives on my account. On 5/9/2020 at 2pm I called the 1800 number on the back of the card to report fraudulent activity. I was placed on hold for one hour before someone answered. Only to be told that I had to be transferred to another department. Needless to say I was again placed on hold for 3 more hours only to be hung up on. Shame on you Chase, where is your customer service during a time of this Coronavirus. People are already suffering and your rich company with my money in are not taking care of your customers.Your bank don't even care enough to efficiently take care of your customers. Shame on you!

Do business elsewhere...chase does not value your relationship with them.
Bank accounts have horrible rates & much better credit card options available with so many other reputable companies.
I have outstanding credit/income & have had 1 chase credit card for appx 20 years ...actually a few cards with chase & have never even missed any payment with them.
Customer service has simply deteriorated over the years.

If I could give -100 I would. The people at their international call center are not trained nor equipped to handle US calls yet I keep getting transferred to a rep in the Phillippines. I will be closing my account with Chase. I've been with them for over 10 years and unfortunately it is time to leave them. Their service has declined dramatically. If they would keep the US calls strictly to US reps, we wouldn't have such horrible service issues. Im so over it. Wait time over 50 mins now just to get my rewards redeemed. Poor customer experience. Of course they don't care about the little individual customer like me because they have bigger fish. Its ok. What goes around comes around. People, I would recommend you bank with a local community bank or credit union. You won't have to deal with untrained reps in international call centers.

Chase.com is the absolute worst online banking website ever! Super slow all the time. Clumsy. Horrible. Terrible. Awful. Frustrating. Aggravating. Barclays is the best that I have used. It is very quick, fast loading and easy to use. I have 16 accounts all online, and Chase.com is the absolute worst I've ever seen.

I drove over to my local branch in Kingman and I was very disappointed to bare witness to the fact that there was about 40 people standing in line not responding to the need for social distancing as well as wearing any kind of face covering? It’s not ( fake news) that there is a world pandemic going on. But the thing that bothered me more is that Chase as well as other banks still have their drive up teller closed? Anything that can be done to help save people from contracting covid-19 should be utilized even opening up drive up tellers. I’m alot safer in my car than standing in line and the drive up teller is just another tool to use to protect Americans. It’s because of the fact that none of the banks that I’ve seen are using all tools at there disposal to protect the customer and their employees is why I’m giving Chase and every other bank a 1 star rating. This isn’t a beautiful thing that is going away any time soon and it isn’t ( fake news) that people are dying. The blame game is BS. The experts are right and we are all in this together so unless you have a desire to get sick and possibly die pay attention. Also demand that your local bank open up its drive up teller if they have one.

STAY AWAY!!!! DThey should have a negative 5 stars. First they just suck. Fees, horrible customer service. I have wasted more time on the phone waiting for support as a small nonprofit owner and my own personal account. I closed my personal one and about to close our nonprofit one which we have had for 15 year. Why? Because this bank clearly has NO ETHICS! They hand picked the larger companies for the PPP gov't assistance program and intentionally bypassed us. I applied within one hour of the application going live. I never got a confirmation. I called my 'personal banker' and he had no clue how to verify but told me DO NOT apply again. I tried so many ways to get a human to verify our application did not go into the ethers..but nada. Finally I applied again. Got a confirmation email at least this time. I had a funny feeling they would choose big companies over small ones. And then I had several friends who had small businesses at Chase and applied for the PPP. Only ONE got the funding. The rest of us? Waiting, and not sure how to proceed! Then the MONEY RAN OUT. Then I googled Chase and PPP and found out they gave the money away to HUGE businesses..not even truly qualified, and I am 110% certain they did not tend to us in the order the applications were received. I saw there are class action lawsuits starting all over the place for this and I said sign me up! Then out . of the blue I got an email saying our application is waiting approval from the govt...a lie. Once the new round of funding came through the said it was getting submitted (hmmm). Well, meanwhile I find a NIcE ethical bank with real people helping people....Collegiate Peaks Bank...and they got my application in and approved in a day. Hmmmm...Chase is just monster in the banking world. Ironically the businesses got chastised and publicly shamed for taking funding meant for small businesses and organizations, but why is everyone letting the unethical practices of CHASE get off. I am closing my nonprofit account at Chase. I am closing my personal credit cards with Chase. I am telling friends and family to stay far away from this horrible bank. If all the small businesses they screwed the first time PPP applicants left them, maybe they would actual feel the pain a bit. Chase, I hope you read this. You suck on so many levels.

Chase holds on to your money then starts bleeding your account while denying your promotion...then you have to start calling. We then closed this account.
Spent a hour with a charming car salesman (er, "banker") who reviewed what we needed to do to meet Chase's many requirements around this promotion, which we did. (btw, after the account was set up, we couldn't get a hold of this guy or have our calls returned). Not seeing the promotional credit, we called again. Now we're hearing that because we didn't use the debit card as one of the required five transactions, we won't receive the $400 promotional credit. Despite all the "careful" advice we were given, we didn't know we had to use the debit card. (yeah, whatever, if not the debit card, there would have been another excuse).
In addition, they forward-dated a deposit transaction so it appeared we didn't have the minimum daily balance the entire prior month so they could charge a $12 monthly fee. Which of course, drops the daily balance below their minimum for the current month = another $12...etc.
Don't let Chase use your money, don't waste your time. Oh, and when we called the branch, they hung up on us after waiting 10 minutes then wouldn't answer the phone. Other issues just not seen with the other major banks, which aren't perfect, but don't seem to resort to these shady practices as a matter of doing business.

I just had a conversation with a Chase representative name Fatima Eder. She excepted me during a pandemic to go to a branch for verification. I explained to her that I was on quarantine and requested to speak to someone else. I told her that I know how they work and like to hang up on clients. I waited for 45 minutes to talk to her. The unprofessional Fatima Eder placed me on hold, and then a recording came on to tell me that they are unable to assist me at this time. I am now waiting again for a rep after calling back and was advised again that the wait time will be 50 minutes this time. I am extremely dissatisfied and will be calling and putting her on every platform until I receive an official apology.

I have been with chase for over 25 years and my business over 18 years-who knows my business better-boy I was wrong. I have small business and applied for PPP SBA funding. They set on my application almost over 10 days to tell me to find another lender. Worse bank since the lockdown. Worse customer service. Small bank in Palatine approved me in 2-3 hours-small community banks are lot better for small business like mine with 15-25 employees.

Hi my names Mike. Im in California and recently opened a account with chase to avoid paying to cash my check, usually about 30 bucks. So i deposited my check thinking that they would hold it a few days. But 2 weeks come on they said they had to verify it. Icalled 3 times first time on hold over a hour then hung up on 2nd about 45 min 3rd finally got a answer they are not releasing my money. I have kids with this carona virus i just started working again so i explained they could call my employer look his company up on internet and call the office. She bluntly said no. My interpretation was they didn't care about me or my kids weather we ate or not now im stuck with no money for food or gas to go to work. I asked them just close my account and return my money again no i have to wait. No gas no food heartless and lazy

Chase Mortgage is a criminal enterprise!!! In 2008 they were bailed out by the AMERICAN PEOPLE. Then they bought their stock back and padded their wallets. In December 2019, I applied for a refinance. I was completely upfront with them. I asked the representative, William Endres that if he didn't think it would work, not to waste his time or mine. He said "NO PROBLEM", I just need a $500 retainer on your credit card to proceed. Don't worry James, its fully refundable if you don't qualify!!! 60 days later, after making me jump through hoops....they tell me they can't do my loan because my house was in a trust. How about telling me day #1, that you couldn't do it you MORON. LIE, CHEAT and STEAL. And they won't give me my money back. If anybody know how I can SUE them, please let me know. BTW, I then called a local mortgage company and was approved in 24 hours and closed in two weeks!!! They need to pay for treating people like this. They are horrible monsters and deserve to PAY!!

Waiting on hold to speak to anyone at Chase for hours and hours. My account was hacked into, someone set up an unauthorized transfer of funds to their account, while this transaction was pending, I was on hold with the fraud department, and watched the transaction go from pending to completed. One week later, I am still on hold. After hours on hold to get my account unlocked, I finally got a live person, someone in India with a very strong accent I couldn't understand who sounded like he was underwater. After twenty minutes on the phone with him, he tells me, "OK we have your account locked." I said, "I am calling to get it unlocked, it has been locked for several days." he says, "oh that is another department" and transfers me. Still on hold! Terrible customer service. Worst ever. In the twenty five years I have banked with Chase, this is literally the first time I have ever needed any customer service. So disappointed.

By far the worst bank ever. Worst customer service. They keep their clients waiting just to give them incorrect information. Wait time is ridiculous and no one really knows what's going on. I had a roth Ira with them which I wanted transferred to another bank. They transferred it as a Traditional IRA. Now I have to deal with tax payment on an Ira that I had already paid tax on. And there's no way of fixing it says Ahmad at the Venice location chase. Truly incompetent!!!

Several years back, my Chase Freedom credit card numbers were stolen and used fraudulently, three times in one year. All three incidents were detected and corrected within the span of a single call or email. Last month, I was made aware of how important this service is when a friend of mine had $100K+ fraudulently withdrawn from his Bank of America account. Bank of America did not detect any of the 36 fraudulent withdrawals. To add insult to injury, in order for his money to be returned, my friend had to complete Bank of America's six page report for each withdrawal, a total of 216 pages, and a police report.
This week, Chase pulled through for me once again and I felt the need to finally thank them by writing a review.
I booked a trip from NYC to Athens, via Expedia, using my Chase Unlimited Freedom card. The departure date is set for April 12th. In March, the Corona virus began affecting NYC. I tried contacting Expedia to cancel my trip. Due to increased call volume, it took several attempts to reach Expedia's automated machine, which stated that I was not allowed to speak to a customer service representative until three days prior to my departure. Given the fact that it took several attempts to reach their machine, I didn't want to risk waiting until the last minute to attempt to reach a representative. I tried canceling directly with Delta and the hotel, but was advised that I could only cancel my booking through Expedia.
I resorted to contacting Chase disputes. Unbeknownst to me, my Chase Freedom Unlimited card had built in travel insurance! A refund for my flight was issued to my account the following day. The hotel charge is still pending but I have no doubt that Chase will be able to correct the hotel charges. I appreciate having a bank has been able to reduce my stress levels when it matters.
