I have been a long time customer of Channel Master. I have always recommended and used their products for all OTA (Over The Air) TV products and accessories. Their antennas, rotors, amplifiers, tuners and DVR's (Digital Video Recorder/s), have been my go to choice for 40 years. I have never had a bad experience with their support either this is all about one product
The Stream+ DVR
I am not sure why a "Cut The Cord" OTA DVR could be called such when the majority of the OTA DVR features will not work with out a internet connection. Even with a constant internet connection the Google Guide only allows program information from one market to be used. I you are in a rural area and use a rotor to access programing from multiple markets you are totally hosed.
It appears Google Guide and an outdated Android OS are the cause of most of these problems. Channel Master is the first to admit this but they take no responsibility for the issues. You have to report your issues to Google. Apparently Google could care less about this product that was made for a streaming only box IE Google TV.
I bought the Stream+ in November as a gift for my 88-YO Mother and 65-YO sister. Unfortunately I was not able to visit and see the issues they were having for my self until April. Too late to return even though it never could work as advertised.
I was also very disappointed with CM to find out there are lots of other bugs I have read about. Like not being able to watch a show from the beginning while it is still recording but I never got that far. Byer beware this is nothing like their previous OTA DVR.
Channel Master was always better than this I find it hard to believe they shipped anything this poor. It is probably kind of OK for urban areas and streaming not sure. I know they collect peoples opinions but they are not available to the public. That is why I started this review.

I found the Channel Master very easy to setup using the Setup Wizard. It turns OFF and ON every time and it has the very best TV Tuner on the Market picks up OTA channels with 100% signal strength and picture quality. Twice as good as my old TIVO BOLT was with OTA.

Channel Master is a great concept but only if you have 1-2 hours each day to troubleshoot the myriad of problems that will most assuredly arise. Im done with this surplus, East German Army commo equipment. Only decision from this point is whether we sell it on E-bay to another sucker or simply take it to the rifle range and demo it.
1. Initial set-up requires a super-nerd & then its still a crapshoot. Buddy of mine who works fulltime in IT/AV spent 3-4 hours trying to set it up. One word of advice is that your wifi network CANNOT have any special characters in it; alphanumeric only. Youd think someone at Channel Master that had an IQ above room temp would notify users about this glaring security/set-up issue.
2. Basic antenna TV works about 50% of the time after install. Be prepared for almost hourly reboots.
3. Spent a lovely afternoon on the phone with arrogant and dismissive Channel Master tech support reps after Sling TV would quit about every minute. Rep ridiculed me for calling and asked dont you check our website for service updates? Were working on it.
4. Now that Sling TV works (some of the time) about 50% of the time, the internet channels have disappeared and Channel Master no longer recognizes our wifi.
5. When you turn on Channel Master youll get an empty blue screen about 75% of the time.

Last year I bought the flatenna from ChannelMaster in Gilbert, AZ and I have been very happy with the channels I received and the sharpness of the picture. Lately I purchased the DVR+, the hard drive and the WI-FI adapter and let me tell you this is a miracle to be able to watch all these channels including the internet channels and be able to tape the over the air channels for free and the picture is even sharper than what I used to have with the cable company that cost on an average of $120.00 a month. The most important and the biggest assets ChannelMaster has are the associates who are so kind and professional to name just a few who helped me purchase the equipments that I needed , the connection and explained to me how to use every step like Tom, Drew, Jordan and Ben, thank you so much, I couldn't be happier with all the products I purchased from ChannelMaster.

I recently decided to do away with my monthly satellite TV bill and install my own antenna. I used a 2 section 20 foot telescoping mast. I mounted a Channel Master CM5020 Deep Fringe Antenna. This antenna's ability to capture and hold the Digital High Definition signals is very good. I rarely have to fine tune my rotator to retain a signal. The excellent design, construction and performance of this product makes it a great choice. I also give 5 stars to the RCA-VH126N Rotator with remote control. It too is well built, very versatile and can be programed and reprogramed by a child!
