I should have been more careful, but changemyaddress.org is definitely a scam. They never give you a cost before your order is finished, which makes me an idiot for finalizing my order, so that's on me. After realizing my mistake, I called them to cancel the order, and they said they could only refund half of what I paid them. They issued that refund, then I called back again a few minutes later with the same cancel request. They said they would cancel the rest, except for $2 to cover the address change. So if they follow through (I got confirmation emails for both refund amounts...), I'm only out $2.
Do not place an order with this company. If you do, do not accept that they can only refund half. Keep telling them you don't need all their additional services and that you'd like a full refund.

I clicked on the first website to change my address. Filled out the form and then put in my credit card info. I didn't think anything of the fact that it stated NO WHERE how much they were going to charge me because my girlfriend said it costs a dollar. Well, it charged me almost 80 dollars and of course they are closed on Sundays so this is some crap I am going to have to deal with in two days. Too bad by time you read this it will be too late.

I closed my USPS PO Box and was told to submit a change of address online to forward the mail to my home address. I typed in USPS change of address and this website came up. Very deceptive as it appears to be USPS which I have used several times before and know they only charge $1 to your credit card. I went through the process and nowhere did it mention they were charging me $79.95. Within seconds, the Fraud Unit at my bank, Chase, alerted me that two charges of $79.95 were received and for me to confirm if valid or fraud. I reported them as fraud and both were denied., thanks to the great service at Chase, but this fraudulent organization needs to be shut down now as I can see from googling them, they have been getting away with this fraudulent scam for quite some time and many people have been ripped off.

I thought I was changing my address through usps until I saw a charge for $80 from changemyaddress.org on my credit card statement. I called and they initially tried to offer a 50% refund, then said they had already provided the services of the do-not-call registry, so the most they could refund was $70.
I kept saying I wanted a full refund or I would report them to the Better Business Bureau and contest the charge on my credit card. Then the representative said he could give a full refund, but would have to undo the USPS address change, which would take 6-10 business days (too long for my move), so I again said I would go through BBB and my credit card. Finally the rep refunded me $78.

I also was an idiot and just googled change my address. Last month it cost me $1 to change the address of my company. I thought I was going through USPS with this address change. Today there was a charge on my card for $80. My bank gave me the phone number 844-736-7759 and I argued with them and told them to cancel the entire thing. They are refunding me $78. They tried to sell me $9.95 for adding me to the do not call list which by the way is FREE. I will be changing my address in person at the post office from now on!!!!
SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!

Googled USPS Change of Address. Unfortunately the first Webpage which I thought to be USPS was in fact a fraudulent scammer. Change My Address does not identify a fee when processing your personal information and credit card.. When I checked my account they had charged me $79.95 and an additional $9.95 for a simple $1 change of address. I called within 10 minutes of realizing it was not the USPS and was told I was too late the address change had already been processed. Pure fraud - they need to be shut down.

I also was an idiot and just googled change my address. Last year it cost me $1 and was through USPS. I wasn't paying attention and used changemyaddress.org. A few days after doing so I saw my bank statement and was shocked, they charged over $80. So I called the number and I guy answered and said the payment already processed, so I just let it be; lesson learned. Almost a month later I get a charge on my credit card for a value-savings.com that charged me about $20. I called my credit card company about fraud and they've denied the charge and cancelled the card.

Thought I was on USPS website- looks just like it did when I changed my address 1 year ago for $1.00 but I was charged 59.95. Scam. Be sure you are on USPS website and not this one. I learned my lesson. AOs.

I googled the phrase "US Postal Service Change of Address" and this website came up as the first option.
It is designed to mislead you into thinking you are changing your address through USPS. It asks for your payment information without really telling you what paying for or how much you are paying.
If you look carefully through the website, they mention all the important aspects of their business in the fine print. Very deceptive. They know what they are doing. Sorry excuse for a company. I've reported them to my bank. What a joke.

I thought this was the Postal Service and the cost would be a dollar or two. I looked online and saw that I had been charged $59.95. I called the number provided 1-888-481-9592 to cancel the service and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone only a recording directing you to leave your number to be called back. It's been over three hours and no one called me back.

Kelly who works at this place first was very confrontational and said she couldn't give me a refund; I said you will give me a refund because I will also call my bank for fraud. USPS only charges 1 dollar and this company such a scam charges you 59.95 ? I checked my bank and found out and called these scammers and told them i want a full refund. The lady was so disrespectful that I told her how rude she was and she tried to give tell me that they will only process 1.98 and I said no I already processed my $1 to process change of address. I hope this company gets sued because this is ridiculous. Google allows these scammers to be first to see and that's the reason I clicked on the website not knowing.

Website represents themselves as US postal service. They never mention the $59.95 fee. When I discovered the fraud I called they said they could only give me a 50% refund. I INSISTED on 100%. Paul agreed to 100% and gave me a confirmation number and said it would take 3 to 5 business days to reflect on my account.

This website has a lot of small print. I clicked on this from a Google search for "change of address". I mistakenly thought the first search result was for USPS. I went to changemyaddress.org instead and started filling out the fields. Once I got to the payment section, I assumed it for the $1 the post office charges. I was in a rush and that part was my fault for not paying attention to the details but they do that on purpose so people will get scammed. On the last page, it asks if you want to be added to the Do-Not-Call Registry (which is free from what I understand) so I clicked "Yes! Sign me up" and also clicked "Yes! Sign me up" for assistance with decluttering your junk mail. Both of these did not indicate there was additional charges. I clicked "No" on all the other options, like mover coupons and setting up utilities. Once I finished, I printed my order confirmation and after looking at it only then did I realize it was not the USPS. I still didn't know how much they charged me at this point. I immediately called because I felt weird about letting some third party be in charge of my change of address and wanted to do it through the Post Office. I got a person on the other line, Alicia, who was obviously working from home because I heard the cartoons on the tv in the background. I explained that I did not want this service, that I thought it was the USPS and wanted to do my change of address with them instead. I also stated that I didn't even know yet how much they charged me for whatever they were doing. She hemmed and hawed and still didn't tell me how much the 'services' cost. I interrupted her because she was trying to sell me the services I never wanted and asked for the amount they charged me. She said "$59.95" and my jaw dropped. I stated, no way did I see that anywhere on the website and in no way do I need any services from them related to changing my address that I would ever spend $60 for. She then offered to give me a 50% discount. I declined and said I just want to cancel. She continued to try to sell me whatever services they were selling which are things I can do for myself for free, when I interrupted her again to say I just want to cancel everything. She got a little attitude and said she had a procedure to follow so could I just answer some questions. I let her ask one more question about telemarketing and continued to decline any service. She finally stated she could cancel the $58 but that the change of address would still be processed and cost $1.95, which is still more than the post office charges for online change of address. I did not want to fight with her for that so I said okay so that I could get my money back. I got an immediate refund email and she assured me the $58 was a hold charge and she cancelled it. I contacted my bank and they did confirm that the transaction was a hold and it had been cancelled. I cancelled my debit card and requested a new one anyway just because the company gave me attitude and I don't trust scammers of course. So now I have to wait 7-10 business days for my new debit card. But I feel safer having cancelled it.

So I go to change my Moms address through the post office and instead of change my address.com I clicked change my address.org. what pathetic excuse of a human being decided to scam people into paying 60.00 for a service that can be done for free? Are you serious? I was lucky enough to catch it right away and got back all but 1.95 but don't use this website. Only a scam.

Like everyone says, this website pops up first when you want to change your address so I clicked on it and it looks just like the USPS site. I filled out the form and after I entered everything I noticed that it took my card information but never confirmed it or mentioned the 1 dollar fee that was usually associated with changing the address. So I went to my email to see if there was a confirmation email. There was a confirmation email but still no sign of any receipt with the amount charged. So went back to the website and sure enough in the tiny print there was the 59.95 mentioned. So I called the number that was given that said if I wanted cancel all I needed to do was call. This was all within like 5 minutes, so very quickly. The guy answered and was friendly enough and sounded like he was going to give me a refund, then he mentioned that he could only give me a 50 percent refund because all of my information had been sent out to all of these companies (when filling out the form there is a page where it asks if you would like to sign up for a no call list, junk mail reduction, utility discount, etc. all of which I checked no on). I told him that my information should not have been sent out to any of those companies in the first place since I had check no on all of the boxes in the first place and if they were being sent out it was against my permission. He then said he didn't know that and that it said I had checked them. He then said he could get the charge down to $1.95 and refund the 58.00 and that I would still get the services offered. I will wait to see what happens and see if the charge goes through or not, but basically he claimed that the charge was for services I did not approve and I caught him a lie trying to tell me that I did.

I wanted to forward my mail so Googled USPS change address and inadvertently used the changemyaddress.org site since it came up first on the google search. The site is very similar to the USPS site and did not mention a $59.95 fee.

I was trying to change my address with USPS. When I typed USPS in google search, the first suggestion poped up and clicked on it, thinking it to be USPS Site, filled in form and thinking that I would be charged $1.00 for confirmation, gave my credit card information. I was charged $59.95. The website never said that I would be charged this amount.

I googled "change of address" They pop up first and made it sound like they were with the postal service. I was charged $60. I called them over 10 times and never spoke to a human. I left my number and email and they did not respond. They promise a full refund if you are dissatisfied as long as you call them with in 60 days; however if you can't get ahold of them you are up a creek with no paddle. How do we hold them accountable? There is NO other number to call except 1-888-481-9592. Has anyone gotten ahold of them in another way? Can we all contact the BBB? I think too many people just shrug it off because they are busy with the process of moving and don't have the time or patience to truly be aggressive and advocate for this business to be shut down. I however; do have the time and the anger to pursue this, but I have no idea how to go about it. Again, please let me know if you know how to contact them other than the 888 number!

I moved from CO to NV and wanted to change my address. I went online and entered USPS. The first name that popped up was this website and I entered the information as requested. When it came time to enter my CC# I also entered that. At the end of giving that information there was no $ amount to be charged. Little did I know that they were charging me $59.95. I found out when I got my CC bill. They even sent me a change of address confirmation with the USPS logo so I thought every thing was on the up & up. This company is a SCAM AND THERE SITE SHOULD BE TAKEN DOWN IMMEDIATELY. I'm not the only one complaining.

I was changing an address from our old business location to our new location. I did this in Jan. 2017. We still are getting the mail confused with the old location. I spoke with them at least 2-3 times to let them know it wasn't working. Today I spoke with Wally, he has refunded us some of the money. I also had to call USPS to get a ticket started to get this worked out. When you go the USPS to do changes of address, it cost $1.00! Such a rip off and caused major problem for all business involved. Why are they still in business??? Do not use them.

i just recently moved from a few different reasons, I am a student and needed to be closer to my school and for family reasons. I receive a lot of mail from my school and for many other things as well. I work two jobs on opposite side of the city I live in, therefore I thought it would be easier to just go online and do my change of address.on 1/30/2017 I went to changemyaddress.org hoping to complete this. after I filled out all of my information it said I would be charged one dollar to make the change online, I thought it odd because I've never paid anything in the past for an address change but this day in age there is a price for everything so I didn't think on it long. but after I sent the request form in I seen a very tiny print at the bottom of the page saying they charge $59.95. they had immediately started the process to take the money out of my account. I tried calling the phone numbers they had available and at first, an automated system comes on the line saying a representative will be with you shortly, then some elevator music and then the phone just hangs up on you. I tried this four or five different times and got the same thing each time. I've already got a hold of my bank and put a block so they can't take anything out of my account going further, but I have to wait for this charge to actually post to my account before I can report it as a fraud and begin the process to get my money back. I see all of these complaints on here and yet nothing has been done about this website yet and I'm kind of wondering why??
