I have been with centurylink for 30 years and I have never dealt with such bad, service in my life. My internet was not working so after calling them they informed that I needed a new modem. So, I told them to order me one. I was supposed to get it in about 3 days. After waiting 6 days I called again. After being transferred 8 times and put on hold for a total of 3 and a half hours, I was told that the modern was sent to the wrong address ( they never send the bill to the wrong address ) now they tell me it will be a couple of days. By now I have no more patience. 4 more days still no modem. Call again and a recording tells me to go on line and I might be able to get some answers to my question. How am I supposed to do that when I have NO internet? So, I get a new modem from some where else now, I have my internet back. Looking for a new internet service. Stay away from Centurylink worst customer service everer

We ordered high speed internet waited 5 different days and times and no one showed up, but we received a bill for services. We have atleast 8 conformation billing. WE have spent 12 hours on the phone with centurylink, received different information each time. This is not acceptable for a million dollar plus company, We are very upset. Tried talking to a supervisor that didn't work. What does a person do?

i was on the fone trying to set service again with centurystink and they run my credit and to find out that they said i owe them 147 dollars which is wrong i was never under a contract and was never informed of one and anytime i did contact them my daughter was aklways beside me or in the room so heard everything that was said so i also have a receipt from the store stating i have a zero balance and that they informed me of a verbal contract months after a had another company they are doing this to numerous customers then they hide behind the corporate office so the customers cant get inytouch with them they think they are judge jury and excutioner they need to be removed from this service and if u need internet service stay away from them.....................

I was a Centurylink customer for 30+ years. Only DSL is available in my area. Though we paid for up to 40 Mbps (fastest available on my street), we got 17-20 at most. This was fine until we wanted an alarm system with cameras and then too slow. After confirming with their tech support that there was nothing I could do, I called to cancel the DSL service with an explanation. They charged me a $200 cancellation fee. Even talking to the supervisor did not help because NOW they wanted to send someone out to get it faster. Funny, they did not offer to do that when they were talking to the alarm installation people. It is unconscionable to treat utility customers who have no option for other service this way. Bye bye Centurylink.

Some videos won't play, huge ads at top of page. Weather page is horrible, it used to be OK. But they changed it and refuse to fix it.

Centurylink's internet isn't that great, and my service has been questionable. They throttle your speed if you're downloading certain things they don't like, which means they are constantly keeping an eye on what you are doing online. There are many legal purposes to use bittorrent traffic, but yet that is the traffic I'm talking about them throttling. Also sometimes certain streaming video sites won't stream very well, because the internet is being throttled. Centurylink's service so far has been unsatisfactory at best. I am supposed to have 10Mbps speed, and at times it's as if I'm using dial-up, or even worst. Supposedly I don't even live in an area where there are a lot of people using Centurylink, so my service should be great. Internet providers are starting to stick their noses where they don't belong.
