I purchased the device because I was told that I would be able to download the MINDBODY app for the device. Got the device and of course it’s not available in Canada. That’s the only reason I got it. The sales person made me repeat my information over and over. Way to many phone calls when it could of been done through email. I would not recommend them at all. I hate being sold something for them to make a sale and tell you anything you want to hear.

This is the absolute worst company I’ve ever encountered. They sold me a defective machine that double-charged my customers with no option to refund them. I cancelled the service 4 months ago and am still being charged. I’ve spent countless hours on the phone and I’ve either been hung up on, told I’d be called back with no follow up or straight out lied to. Go with another company, literally any other company.

Was contacted by Canadian POS to use their Poynt Terminal for my brewery, with a bar. Was promised that many other bars and similar business use this system and we would be very satisfied with the terminal. The terminal arrived weeks later then expected with no real explanation. After spending a few hours setting it up and adding our products I used the terminal for the first time. I realized that the system did not appear to have a tab function, which is key in a bar situation. I called multiple times to try and have this problem solved and spent many hours with the customer service agent promising me that this functionality exists and that it would be figured out. A week ago was the last call I received and they assured me that it would be solved. Today I called after not hearing anything for a week and asked for this to be resolved finally. I have been paying for two systems for multiple months at this point, as the new terminal does not work for our situation. The terminal also crashes quite often and requires a hard reset (the software feels like it is beta at best).
The company has offered to switch me out to a basic pin pad terminal (which I already had with a different service provider). Talk about a bait and switch on their part. At this point I am waiting for a call back from the cancellation department, which should come at some point next week.
As a small business I would absolutely not recommend this company. Getting customer service on the phone is half impossible and when they do finally talk to you, they know nothing about the product. These guys are a reseller and not a good one. I hope to get out of the contract that they pushed on me, but I have a feeling that will be a challenge as well.
If I ran my business the way this group does, we would have no customers left.

Dealt with an Agent Matt, He had me fill out so much paperwork, then constantly calling for more info. Week after week passes with more forms to fill out. He failed to return my calls to get things finalized, this took over 6 weeks total waste of time and I decided to go elsewhere as result. I went to Evo and they had me set up with POS terminal in hand within one week.

So far all has been good with one exception - i was having an issue to install and getting internet access. I called into customer service and left a message, call our rep and left a message, called for tech support and was on hold while I found the issue and repaired myself. The next day I got a call from customer service answering my message left. I really hope the response time will be much better next time.

Lots of hiccups first couple of weeks inlcuding tap feature not working, not being able to select account type when choosing debit option to pay, mastercard transactions not completing on your end therefore shorting our deposits. When processing correctly, the machines are very fast.

Canadian POS a partnered company with Elavon Canada sold me a lease on a new better machine. The original Elevan machine had issues all most from day one. Had it for a few years and then got a call from Canadian POS who announced they are a connected company, still processed through Elavon but with a new better machine and at a lower monthly rate. Sounded good although I did'nt really like the lease but was assured repairs and updates were included so when the new fancy machine started each morning showing at updated started but not completed and we would have to reset the unit to get it working again I wasn't too concerned because I was sure they would take care of it with a reset or manual update as we fixed some issues on the last terminal that way. Instead they offered a replacement, I thought this was overkill but said yes because it was fixing the issue. The very next day my bank account had over $300 taken out of it, when I called Elavon they say it's Canadian POS and not their problem. In fact one rep with Elavon said well it's my fault for going with a third part company and not them direct. Canadian POS represents them self as being with Elavon and the bank account statement shows Elavon on it so I'd say your responsible. The third company involved in this is Latco leasing which surprise surprise is owned by Elavon but conveniently under an other name so everyone has there nice neat place and no one has to take responsibility for anything.I can not reach anyone at Canadian pos least of which my original rep who promised he would be my personal point of support for any problems then vanished the day the contracted was signed. Remember when one company would stand behind a product, now three partnering companies won't ?

We after sales picking up after being on CBC Dragons Den I needed a POS System that would be reliable. This new ssystem seems to be what I needed. Easy to use aND navigate with awesome rates and customer service . I'm sure it will help my custom printed fishing lure business. All our new customers will be taken care of. I needed a system that allowed me to take online payment as half of my revenue comes from my online CRM system. I also have an ecommere site as well as a brick and mortar. I was told the Poynt could do all that without any additional fees. And that it could track inventory. Well, it doesn't track inventory or work online unless I use a third party system that would cost me another $100/month. It took almost 3 weeks to get the system. So I did 1 week of transactions and was charged a full month. They also never mention the additional $5 monthly fee you have to pay to another company to insure the machine. Although the machine itself seems awesome, the software suck. It's very difficult to read your products. You can only get a few items on the screen so you have to have many different categories. Very complicated to split payments and not exactly sure it works. Adding taxes is a bit of a nightmare also if you have different tax categories. I know I was paying more % fee per transaction with Square, but it did all of those basic things a software should do. In the end, I don't think I am paying less since I can't use it online. The only thing it does that Square doesn't do it the pin debit.... I was sold on many things and it's not delivering...

Terrible Customer Service! Sent me the rates in the email and I actually took my time to compare apples to apples with my most recent merchant billing statement. When the rep called and I was going line by line of the rate I am paying and number of transactions occurred in the month, I was trying to engage in an intellectual conversation so they, the service provider, could better understand our current plan and find the savings for us. Instead, the lady just interrupted me and rudely said "okay, you got good rates, bye!". I didn't get a chance to reply and she hang up.
Perhaps I wasn't an easy target in their spectrum and they don't want to have an in-depth conversation. You don't have to be a statistician to figure out savings for you business.
I was very disappointed with their attitude. They just want to sign up right away without providing any details.

I've just gotten off the telephone with KHADEJAH, OMG!!! I'm so very impressed with her professionalism, her caring nature, I'm at a loss for words, I'm BEYOND IMPRESSED!!!
My issues were resolved very quickly, she understood my problems and she was able to assist and solve them directly. There was no being put on hold, no I need to speak to a supervisor, she simply did what needed to be done. As well she had scheduled a return call with my business partner for 2:45 when I would be in and guess what? She called on time!!! Again impressed. It's nice to know that other people understand that when trying to run a small business and pinch pennies and that time is always an issue.
Again, I just want to state that KHADEJAH is simply a WONDERFUL customer service representative and represented Canadian POS in excellent fashion. Thank you ! Thank you! Thank you!
