Their customer service is fantastic!!! I ordered a box, but within a few hours had buyers remorse (nothing to do with the company or the product, just wasn't the right time to spend the money). I sent them an email saying so and asked if anything could be done. Within 2 days I got a very nice email response that they refunded the money. So I can't review their actual box since I don't have experience with that, I just came here to say that their customer service is wonderful. I will definitely subscribe to their boxes soon!

I wonder if the company that curates causebox is in financial trouble. I have an annual subscription. The first 2 boxes were ok. The latest 2 boxes in 2019 have contained cheap products...poorly made with inferior quality products.
The Fall 2019 box contains a duffel bag that has such cheap zippers, I'm afraid they'll break after a couple of uses. And the striped pattern doesn't match up throughout the bag. Looks like a "seconds" type product. The wallet in this box looks like something from the dollar store...very cheap materials and poorly made. The makeup brushes...again, dollar store quality. Very disappointing.
I like the idea of subscription boxes, but I'll not renew my causebox membership.

I ordered the summer box. Loved everything it. Perfect for a day at the beach. I loved it so much I ordered a second box for a friend. She received the now sold out, Summer Welcome box. She loved the portfolio and towel. Towel nice enough to be a throw or a shawl. She was so impressed she now wants to join. So far, I have only good things to say. Both boxes shipped quickly. Love the whole concept of Causebox. Tried products I made not have done otherwise while supporting ethical causes,.

I cancelled my subscription months in advance of renewal howeverCausebox took out $199.80 without approval. I have sent no less than 6 email, message through face book to no avail. Check it out....THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER FOR CONTACT AT ALL. If you subscribe you are screwed.

Box is great beautiful items, but as for customer service and missing object in box? They do nothing for you, and instead give you bs that not every box you get everything as they have 2 boxes for when one is sold out and you get an old item that they tell you on their site comes with that season box in first place. They have no intentions to give you any missing item, was a real let down since one of main reasons for me getting this was the vegan bag. Also, my box wasn't a sold out they never looked into it only assumed.

DO NOT USE this company. I inadvertently paid for an annual subscription last September. Tried to cancel and was told I couldn’t since it was an annual membership. Ok fine. Over a month ago I changed my address. The most recent box was then shipped to the prior address. When I contacted Causebox, they were essentially like “oh well just contact Fedex or the post office.” Uhm no, that’s your job. So now I’m out the cost of this box. It’s not like I can just go back to my previous town and pick it up. Very poor customer service for a company that is supposed to be all about the customer.

Hello, I joined Causebox because I enjoy surprise packages and also like gifts that help support those who need a hand up in life. I joined, but did not realize I could not cancel the year subscription. After 1 box, I tried, because I knew the products were not something I’d really use at all. So I was stuck paying for 4 boxes. I’ve had 3 so far, and let me just say the items are very sub-par. The jewelry has been flea-market quality, it darkens when it touches your skin. The silk scarf was clearly marked “ made in China.” The poncho wrinkled and looked very cheap. The vegan leather portfolio was obviously not leather and very small. The other products - seriously, 3 sheets of wrapping paper, a post card, a jade face roller, a sleep mask. These are cheap fillers that nobody needs, and cannot possible support 3rd world businesses.
If you want to help someone, give directly to a charity. This stuff is really poor quality and if you join for a year, you are stuck for a year. This is a big NO.

I was so excited about Causebox. The mission and type of products offered drove me to join. Unfortunately I had an awful customer service experience. I decided to upgrade from a quarterly to an annual subscription so I could choose the colorways of a few items. What should have been a simple transaction turned into a nightmare. It took over 24 hours for someone to cancel my quarterly subscription and take my money for the annual subscription (~$200). She forgot to activate my annual subscription. When I wrote back asking her to appropriately update my account so I could customize, I did not hear back for 3 days. Her replies were riddled with smiley faces and exclamation points - a bit inappropriate given now negative the experience had been. Juvenile and incompetent customer service. And of course now that I’m an annual member I cannot cancel and get my money back.
I tried to put the experience behind me and have been looking forward to my first causebox (spring 2019) to arrive just in time for a trip abroad. I was so excited to pack the Megan portfolio, scarf, eye mask, moisturizing mist, etc. FedEx indicated that the package would arrive today, in plenty of time for my trip. I just got an update that the delivery date was pushed back by a week (TWENTY DAYS en route!) and I will have already left for my trip. They must be using the cheapest mode of transportation available. In the age of amazon prime I just cannot accept a 20 day shipping time.
I’m so very disappointed in my experience with this company. I hope the products make up for such a negative experience.

I love that this box is full of Fair Trade goodies! If I don't like an item it goes as a regift. For the price, I'm satisfied with the products. The Website could be better and the tracking on the website doesn't work. I can't view my account to see how many boxes I have left in the year and wish I could. I paid for the year upfront so I could have a choice of items that I receive. I think everyone should get that choice.

Causebox is a service to purports to be about doing good in the world, however that does not extend to their customers. The customer service is slow to respond and when they do, they don't care whether you like the service or were satisfied. They have your money and you're out of luck. They are incapable of handling gifting. The recipient needs to make choices about certain items that might be included in the box, but the only way to allow a gift recipient to do this is to put their email address on the account - which Causebox does NOT recommend doing because the recipient will have access to your billing information. Plus you will lose the ability to cancel the automatic renewal process. Yes, Causebox relies not on the quality of their gift items, but on the fact that you'll forget to cancel and they'll get to charge you again. And good luck trying to cancel once they have your money. They will refuse to give it back no matter how many future boxes you have on your order.
