i placed online order and went to pick up Whitby store . had terrible CS experience. the manager was highly rude and abusive, arrogant have no CS skills, swearing customers, i filed complaint to their head office and was supposed to get a response but no one responded, will never go again , and use other options at least to get treated with respect

I ordered online and just received delivery of my Danby 5.5 cu ft freezer to replace the same which had served me well for ten years of hard work.
My experience with CAS was excellent start to finish - purchase, delivery arrangements, delivery and hall away of my old freezer. I have not a single complaint and would buy from CAS again.

Horrible experience. End up with a broken appliance and they don’t take responsibility for it. DON’T BUY. SCAM
They send you to the warranty it has been 1 month that I am chocking with repair and it break again and i have to wait for a call from the technician. Why should I go trough that stress when I pay in real money I won’t a real product. I end up to do their job.

From the moment we entered your store, your sales personnel never even acknowledged our presence in the Whitby Showroom. We were there for over 20 minutes, left and returned before we were greeted.
Despite our first impression, we decided to purchase the laundry station given that the salesmen arranged better pricing than your competitors. We requested that we needed it to be delivered, and now that I am recalling my in store conversation WE DID ask him if it would be a problem for the delivery guys to directly carry the new system into our basement; to which he replied that they would deliver it to wherever we would like so longst we request it at the time they arrive. At no time did he ask or had any other delivery issues in regards to the dimensions of the hallways or stairway to the specified location. We then scheduled the delivery for today Friday, Jun 14th. And it was confirmed that they would deliver it between 10:10am and 2:10pm.
A few minutes after 1pm the delivery men arrived and I requested that the unit would need to be moved to our basement laundry room. They came into my home to have a look at the area, and it was determined that it could not pass and if they even tried, it would require at least another 1-2 people to ensure no damages would incurred to the unit and to my residence, as our basement is fully renovated.
In order to make this delivery happen I have taken time of work to be at home. Firstly, I feel that it was the responsibility of the CAS salesman to inform the delivery company that 3 - 4 men should be allocated for my delivery. As a result I will need to take another day off work to be available for the delivery, beside the fact that my family has tons of laundry to catch up on and now incurring further delays.
I communicated this to their home delivery, and CAS customer service at which time their reply was they could do nothing to get this carried to our basement and is currently remains today in our garage. We were then told a team of 4 would arrive on Jun 18th, as they do not work over the weekend to accommodate. The CAS customer service then transferred me to your escalation department where I left a message to return my call.
Unfortunately my experience with her was very confrontational, rude, and unnecessary, and has now escalated me to request that your unit be picked up and request a refund. I explained to her that I would now have to take another day off work, that I had indeed had scheduled an installation service man to arrive Saturday morning before 11am. She decided that the only compensation I could receive was that they would pay for the installation and just "MAYBE" throw in the new hose connections. She said she could not offer me any further compensation as I had not let the CAS salesman know of our "special request or situation" that I should have taken pictures or measurements of the passing delivery area before my purchase. I DID let him know where it was to be delivered, why was I not asked further about the passageway. This a specialty appliance store, and I would have expected these kinds of discussions initiated by an experienced and knowledgeable sales staff. Your CAS rep at ext 655, not only repeatedly told me that I was to blame, she told me not to yell at her while she was so rudely was talking over me loudly, and not giving me a chance to explain to why I felt her offer was still unacceptable. She also told me that her resolution above is the only option that I had. I was so frustrated at the manner in which she talked to me by the end of the call, that I asked her about a refund. I was told to file a written complaint on your website, and sarcastically thanked her for her fine service, and she ended the call.
I can't tell you enough that this whole situation is very upsetting and that I don't wish to do business with CAS and will communicate this to as many of my friends and family as possible on my experience.
IT DOES NOT END HERE. It is after a few more call exchanges it is STILL sitting in my garage. It will will be delivered or so I am told yet again on June 24th.
THEY CANCELLED MY DELIVERY 3 TIMES NOW, with their explanation is that there has been an internal error.
NOTE: To move forward with the unit pick up and my refund there is also a restocking fee and second delivery charge that HAS to be agreed to in order to proceed with my refund request. I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY THEM NOW $750.
I cannot begin to explain how outraged I am. I have a family 4 with an infant where laundry is a necessity and we have had to do without the use of an in home laundry system for well over 5 weeks now. And carrying an infant to a laundry mat it excruciatingly painful.
WORD OF ADVICE: DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS RETAILER. The price might be good but you will SAVE yourself time and aggegrevation flow few more dollars. THEY ARE QUICK TO TAKE YOUR MONEY. BE CAREFUL.

Would have given them no stars if I could. Easily the worst experience I've had buying any appliance in my entire life and I'm 55 years old. Bought a small Danby fridge in late June and it took a month to come in from Guelph Ontario. I checked Google Maps and I could have walked it in faster. Then we plug it in and it can't go below 5C which is a problem since we need to keep milk there. Now the fun starts as the company tells me that I'm now on my own with Danby. So now I'm running around trying to get Danby to check the appliance which we need for an event. On their website, CAS says that "Our dedicated staff of knowledgeable, friendly sales professionals will treat you like one of the family". They must have a different concept of family than I. Steer clear of this one and go elsewhere.

Waited on their live chat for 5 minutes while being passed from sales rep to sales rep (6 in total). Finally 'Misha' closed the live chat without ever have receiving a reply from any one.

Cancellation policy not fully disclosed when ordering. Right after I made a telephone order, I cancelled due to a better buy through Rona. Their policy states that they will keep 20-25% of the order even though it hasn't been shipped.
They require a form to be filled out and reviewed within 24-48hours.
Left messages and haven't heard anything as of yet. Because of their lack of transparency concerning their cancellation policies, I will never order from this site or their stores again. I will not recommend this company to anyone.

I’ve used this company a couple of times for appliances. Just had another great experience buying a range and washer/dryer set. The pricing is very competitive and if you get your appliances delivered, they take the utmost care to get them inside your residence and placed where you want them. I highly recommend them for your appliance purchase.

Was promised 5-10 Business day delivery. It's been almost a month for fridge and range, and now are ignoring our emails and calls. THESE GUYS SHOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS

I was looking for a hood fan online and came across the Canadian appliance store online. The deals they had on the website was crazy. They were cheaper than anyone one else.
On the website they have a big add on hood fans with crazy discount. So I found the one I wanted (elica 36" hood fan with 600cfm) for 879.00 and on the bottom of price it says free blower. So I thought this is a crazy deal because the original price on this thing is 2295.00. So I went into the store the located in ottawa ontario to buy the fan and a diahwasher. The store was nice and had alot of different appliances. After looking around a sales person asked if I needed assistance. So I told him what I wanted. It was a Bosch dishwasher and the elica hood fan. As he was doing the pricing for me I saw that there was an extra 400 on the bill. I asked him what that was for and he said that's the motor for the fan. (Because u can't drive a car without an engine that was his response to me) I asked him if that's the same thing as a blower to make sure I read the add right and he said yes its the same. So I told him ur add says free blower. He said it can't be because it doesn't show on my screen. So I pulled it up on my phone and showed it to him. He walks to his manager and shows it to him. He comes back saying its an error on the website. I said it's been advertised since boxing day and we are now a month later you mean to tell me no one came in to buy this unit and no one has payed attention to it? He said people make mistakes and this is a mistake and I can't give it to you for that price because I will loose my job. So I told him but its advertised its not your problem so it should be given to me for that price with the blower. He told me to go read the fine print on the website and it will tell me that they might make mistakes on the website and prices can change (very rudely). So I told him to cancel the order and he said he has no problem doing so.
I walked out And called the 800 number and told them what happened. And they said it is a mistake but they can't do anything because the supervisor is not in. So I told them to fix the website. A week later and the deal is still on there.
The website is a scam because once your in the store to buy prices go up. It's false advertising just to get people in the store and the sales person that I was dealing with was very rude.
I will never buy from them and if anyone does I suggest to check all prices before buying
