They take your money, after a while tell you they don't have the gear - and don't deliver!!! You complain and after a while they just don't respond. Absolutely DO NOT buy from them!!!

Do not buy anything from Camera Sky! They are selling products they don't have!! I ordered and paid for $3000 worth of gear, and was told for months that they were waiting fro shipment, only to finally say that they couldn't get the items. They offered a refund, but never refunded the money! I had to put an insurance claim in to get my money back. BAD BAD BAD Camera Sky

I purchased a camera from Camerasky in 2016 and a 5 year warranty without any problems. At the time the reviews were good. However, the flash stopped working. I sent several emails this year and about 5 weeks ago they sent me instructions to send it back to Melbourne for repairs. But now I am unable to contact Camerasky via the phone or email. I now see all the warnings and am very concerned I will never see my camera back. So I am also saying what ever you do - do not deal with this company.

Ordered and paid for mobile phone 17 January 2018, they agreed by email to provide refund 30 January when unable to supply, as of May 4 still awaiting refund. Many phone contacts and an email 16 April that refund coming but still no joy, blamed their system 'upgrade'. This mob are a rip-off merchants, do not use.
It is now October and I'm happy to report that my Credit Card Provider eventually refunded my money after a lengthy investigative procedure in to Camerasky. Hopefully your Provider can ultimately do the same.

Never, Never, Never buy anything from CameraSky. Con artists deluxe. They take your money and never send the goods. They don't respond to emails and non of the displayed phone lines work. Waste of time talking to their live chat agents, they're in Asia and don't care that their employer has stolen money from you. Live chat agents simply fob you off about unusually high orders, not sure when the stock will arrive, 25 business days to issue a refund. Why does Fair Trade Australia allow Con artists like this to operate in Australia?

I feel as if I have been ravished by a Nigerian scamster seeking consort with me. Purchased a watch, paid for it by credit card, and as per most of the other punters that have reviewed these shysters, ended up being stiffed. My money was paid and there followed the, by now, usual modus operandi. "Sorry not in stock". What do you propose, says I? "Better you take refund, take 25 working days to pay." That was back in January some time and I have waved goodbye to my hard earned. I am a plonker having allowed myself to be hoodwinked by the Three Cup Ball Trick exponents.

I will never deal with this company again. Cannot be trusted. After 2 purchases, my third order (over $1,000) was not fulfilled for a month and as a result I cancelled the order. The company said it was "undergoing a finance reorganisation" and would take up to 25 business days to reimburse me. Did not happen. They had my funds for over 2 months and every time I contacted them they fobbed me off saying it "will happen" but it never did. Finally I contacted my credit card provider who arranged for me to be reimbursed.

I placed an order three weeks ago and have had multiple attempts at emailing the company for an update to which there has been no response. I have tried calling all three of their listed phone numbers on several occasions but these do not appear to be working. I believe that this company is a scam, and i am very doubtful that my items will arrive. Other than raising a dispute with my bank i am now not sure what else i can do.

Absolutely ridiculous! Do not buy through Camerasky! I ordered a lense on 28th of January and after finally getting in contact after several failed attempts, hours on hold and no response to emails or call back requests, I finally cancelled my order and requested a refund. that was on 05/02/2018 it is now 22/03/2018!!!! and nothing!! impossible to get hold of and they only lie to you when you do speak to them. they will advertise products that they dont have in stock and are unlikely to for several weeks then hold your money hostage indefinately!

Hi all. I have the same problem. I have bought Tamron lens for more than $1000. They said not in stock, when I cancelled the order they promised refund, but nothing happened even I exchanged so many emails and phone calls over last 5 months. There is no more answers from CS atm. I think my money is lost somewhere in Hong Kong.
Anyway. If you paid by CC try to lodge a dispute with your bank and they should be able to get the money back from the account where it was paid to (if there is any money left). You have to lodge the dispute within 120 days(depends on bank). I have past this time, so don't do the same mistake. Can't promise you your money, but it's worth to try. Also you can report it to ACCC or Fair Traiding. Good luck to all of us.

This company is totally a scam company. I purchased a Leica Q camera from this company through their website 23th Feb 2018, They didn't send me the product. After three weeks, I cancelled the order. They promised the to refund, which is more than $5,000 dollars. And than I just wait for my refund for than 6 weeks and then I just cannot contact them. I sent them email, call them, however no one reply me. Then I report the company to fair dealing waiting for another month for the refund. However, they didn't contact me as well. Next, I just contact my bank and tell them what had happened. Finally, after anther month, I received the refund. So, DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. If you have the same situation like I did. Just report them to the fair trading and tell your bank what happen. Banks have greater power to deal with this transaction and probably they can help you to collect your money.

It seems I'm not alone in this - I had ordered from Camerasky in the past and it was fine, ordered a $1400 Zeiss lens, waited for a month with no updates I found out they didn't have it in stock. Waited another month, still no stock, asked for a refund. Waited two more months (with regular contact asking for updates) and still no refund. Keep saying they are 'undergoing financial system upgrades', same line they seem to be giving everyone else. Total scam - avoid at all costs, just hope I can get my money back somehow.

I have just finished putting in a complaint to NSW Fair Trading re camerasky.com.au. This is the first time in my life I have had to make a formal complaint and I'm 47, so this company is awful! Purchased a phone online on 18/12/17, finally found out on 9/1/18 that they didn't have the phone to sell and they asked us for patience. Stupidly, we agreed to wait, and finally cancelled order on 30/1/18. They acknowledged this and said they could not refund for 25 days and have since not answered any emails or responded to online chat. Do not use this company - offering items for sale that they do not have is against Australian consumer law and their response is unacceptable.

I was told i would get my product in 2-5 days. after a month i enquired where my product was and heard nothing until 2 months later when i tried everything to get in contact with the company and they finally told me the product was no longer available and that it would take 3 weeks for them to take it down from their website.
They just want your money. they wont notify you and hope you forget about purchases. most products on their website are not really available they just say 1-2 weeks to get the product in due to high demand.
Do not trust this website. refund process of 25 days. but they will take your money in a heartbeat.

I ordered a camera two weeks ago and for the past week have sent emails and made numerous phone calls to find out what is happening with order. All it says is "Processing". Have been on hold twice now for over an hour and still no one answers the phone before it's cut off. Not a single email has been replied to. I'm now taking it up with the bank to cancel the payment and get it refunded.
Seriously, avoid Camerasky at all costs. They are the worst, and I really wish I had read the other reviews here before ordering from them....
And ignore all the positive reviews that are on this site; clearly these are being done by staff or colleagues of CameraSky.

I purchased a 300mm canon lens and the price is very competitive and the delivery is quick although the product was shipped from Hong Kong.
Th only problem is that they used Toll for delivery and no phone call was made prior even if I ma at home i still missed the delivery. I have to drive one hour to Toll collection center in Port Melbourne...

I have sent multiple emails to the company have waited on hold as "number one in cue" and no body answered! I am at this moment on hold and have been for half an hour. I also tried to contact someone via the live chat on the website and had no response. I then went to their Facebook page and sent a message and I really hope that someone will reply to my message. I ordered my camera at the beginning of Februaru and received a processing email, I have not been able to check the status of my order in my account and was told I would receive updates and still nothing yet! I am very frustrated with this service as the money has left my account and I would greatly appreciate if someone could reply to me, how am I supposed to enquire or get a refund if no one is answering!
I am very unsatisfied with this service and am disappointed as I have ordered equipment through this business before and it was great. I will now be taking my money else where.... If I get it back at all because no one will answer!!

My colleague has had good experience and appreciated the low prices. I placed an order and after payment was made I received an email saying that the advertised price couldn't be offered anymore and I'd have to pay more. I argued that asking for more than an advertised price was illegal. They refused to honour the price. I reported the conduct to the Department of Fair Trading, who contacted Camerasky and negotiated for me to pay half the difference, but I cancelled the order on principle.

What a pity I didn’t read these reviews prior to ordering not one but two video cameras from CameraSky! Like so many others on this forum, I too am waiting for a refund of more than $2,000. I placed my order on March 9 (paying for Express Delivery as well - more fool me) and after no notification from them after 10 days, when I rang I was told my order was ‘being processed’. Five days later and still no sight of the Cameras and when I rang again to enquire on the status of the order, I was told that they could not give me an estimated delivery date. I immediately asked for the order to be cancelled and requested a refund, which alas, like everyone else here, was told it would take between 10-25 businesss days. This totally flys in the face of Fair Trading Laws in Australia but yet they are still allowed to trade. It is now April 4 and still no sight of the money - I guess I’ll just wait for the stock standard response they leave here on this forum saying ‘how sorry they are and could they have my order number etc. etc.’ - You have my order number CameraSky and you have my money and I want it back! As an aside to this and who knows if it is just a coincidence, but last weekend the debit card that I used to make the purchase with was ‘hacked’ and has now had to be cancelled - my bank is now facilitating the refund process, my solicitor has contacted Fair Trading and ASIC and I have a meeting with a television producer next Monday.

I too have the same experience with camerasky. i ordered on 19/03/2018. they still dont have an ETA.
Never Order from them.
Sony 70-200 GM lens advertised for $2906
on their website it says that you wont be charged until the stock is confirmed.
But mine was debited the first day and when asked for refund they have the same story with 10-25 working days

I bought a camera in December, as they didn't know when they were going to have it back in stock I cancelled it after one month waiting for it. Now, I'm still waiting for the refund. It's been 4 months, still waiting and I'm not the only one with this problem.
