I was promised a refund for unused sessions and I never received it, even after multiple phone calls and emails. Very unprofessional and bad customer service.

one of the worst decisions we made this is one of the worst tutoring school
after 44 hours of tutoring they told us that my daughter have no chance to get the score she need to get to ivy league school.we decided to leave them and after 30 days of studying in her own she scored 1510 in the her 1st practice exam.
this school is complete rip off they charged me $4300 for 44 hours
be aware they will tell you any thing to get you to sign the most hours no never deliver what they promise. their communication is zero.

Cheats! They sold me a package of hours, and then closed the office. Refused to refund the hours, and said I should be grateful that they are "allowing" me to transfer the hours to a new location that is miles away, and not convenient for my kids to go to. Stay far away from them--management is untrustworthy.

I paid $6,000 for the SAT review at the Falls Church C2 center and my son was given a "diagnostic test" to place him in a class. In reality, students of all levels rotate through all the same teacher. When sitting down, my son was put with people completely different subjects for example, he sat down with a little kid a lot that pose a big distraction. With the distraction, the tutors sit down and don't really do anything but check your work and wait for you to work. There's no support, no system for an improved scores. For the whole time my sons score did not improve and they did not care, not until the last month. During the last month, the center wanted to show me a score change so they tutored harder and tried to get my sons score to improve. This shows they only care about money and only willing to work for the "score change" but not for the student.

Horrible. My advice is to save your money. I paid around $13,000 and my sons grades are not improving. They charge you by the hour and two hours (not really two hours, it more like 110 min) minimum per class is their policy. The have 3 students per class so each students really gets 36 minutes (110 minutes/3 students). so you pay 130 for 36 minutes. I tried sylvan, varsity and this center. Im trying to get a refund but so far its not working. The director didn't give us a time to think or change our mind but she gave another customer a week to change her mind. The other customer is one of our friends. I advise you to stay away from this place.

My Son went there for 2 1/2 yrs with no improvement at all. After my received his latest MAP score i decided there was no point in sending him there any more. When i went to them asked them for a refund they said i will have to loose 30% of what i paid which was over $1700. When i had 25 Hr on his previous contract they said the prices are going up, pay in advance so you can benefit and convinced me in to purchasing early on.
I had not used even an Hr of what paid for my 2nd contract of 100 Hr and it is very unfair to take 30 % from a parent that is pulling her child out because the program did not help the child. That clearly shows that they care nothing about the child and only care about money. They either force you to pay or use the program that is not helping your child.
I am in the process of filing a lawsuit so parents like me so not face the issue again.

BE AWARE! This is a very shady, fraudulent business. Keep a detail log of the hours your kid used. Be aware of its “Expiration of Tutor Instructional time” policy and how they use this expiration policy to rip you off thousands of your hard earned money!
If you are a new customer, they give your kid a diagnostic test much harder than real SAT. Based on the score, they recommend you to buy lots of hour to reach your desired score. This is fear mongering! Hard test, low score, more hours==more money. At sign-up, you will be told the “100% money back guarantee tuition refund program”, no single word about the “Expiration of Tutor Instructional time” policy.
If you are an existing customer, they have promotion during the year. Right now, you all should get emails “Get our biggest savings of the year – Enroll now!” from C2. Be aware of this trap! They will encourage you to purchase lots of hours on top of current balance during promotion period, called “upgrade”. BE AWARE of how they use the “Expiration of Tutor Instructional time” policy to rip you off. Ever since you pay for “upgrade”, all the hours your kid uses from now on will be deducted from the “upgrade”. Your hours from the balance of previous payment will be kept till its expiration. That means once you pay for “upgrade”, your balance is set to zero no matter how many hours you have in your balance.
How the used hours were logged is also dubious. My kid took some practice tests in the center. I scheduled meetings with the director when the test result came out. During the meeting, the director usually wrote down the hours used leading to the practice test. She usually utilized the number of used hours as an explanation for the test result. Now when I requested refund and finally got the list of the logged hours from the center, the logged hours from the list are much higher than the numbers I was given during the meetings.
I was explained how the contract works in much more detail and depth when I ask for refund for over hundreds of unused hours, which worth more than $10k. Now I realized how the contract and the way the director conducted her business are fraudulent. It is a long story. I am in the legal battle with C2 now.
As a good citizen, I feel it is my responsibility to let the general public know how fraudulent the C2 business is. Please feel free to share my posting. Hope no others will be ripped off as much as I was.

I am disappointed with the overall service of C2 Education. They provided no value for the insane prices they charge. I regret that I ever came here. I know my money is gone but its alright it is a big lesson. Even the director is very rude. She needs to go for customer service training.

For English (SAT prep and college essay help), there is really only one good tutor there and it is difficult to get a class time with him. For math and physics (advanced subjects like calculus), it is the same case, but the only good tutor has now left the center. I had been taking classes with this tutor and was given no notice of this until the day of when I called to confirm my class. It didn't seem like I would have even been notified if I hadn't coincidentally called that day. For chemistry and biology, there are no good tutors there. The center seems to not communicate well with their tutors either, because one day I showed up for my class and the tutor was not even there. I was told the tutor would show up later but he never did, and they wouldn't even give me the WiFi password to do my other work. I still had to argue with them to not charge me for this class, even though I did not actually get tutoring that day and I was forced to waste my time as I stayed the whole 2 hours, expecting the tutor to show up.
When I took practice SAT tests there, the room was often overcrowded and noisy, making it difficult to concentrate. Even though there was a sign up sheet, it wasn't capped and they didn't seem to consider how many students actually fit in the testing room.
Overall, the center seemed good at first but as I was actually a student there over the past couple years the quality of tutors and service has declined rapidly. Their communication to the students is very poor and it seems like they care a lot more about making money than actually helping the students. It is extremely difficult to get classes in time slots that actually work — they keep only offering me a 1:30 slot and I am still in school during that time. All but one of the good tutors have left and they are very slow to respond even for simple things, like when I ask how many hours I have left. They also recently changed their director for my center thus how certain policies work, and I was not given any notification. Their policy for paying forces you to buy a certain number of hours for a large amount of money and then don't actually provide you with good tutors. I highly regret spending my money and time on this center and do not suggest it.
