Do not use this site!! Booked a stay for between flights, when we got to the hotel they had no record of our booking reference or any of our details, tried to call the helpline but an automated service said no one was available and hung up straight away also emailed and sent a message to their WhatsApp, we got an automated response from the email saying thy received it and the WhatsApp contacts us back over 4 hours after the booking was made for!! They tried blame the hotel saying it was a technical issue and they would call them, it wasn’t a technical issue on the hotels side as two members of staff had tried to sort this, they claimed they called and no one answered which I find hard to believe as there was someone constantly at reception and answering the phone when we were with them. They said their phone line also had a technical issue which is very convenient. They take 0 responsibility and just apologise and say it’s a technical issue or the hotels problem, do not waste your time you’ll only be left embarrassed and out of pocket when you have to pay for a separate booking at the hotel because your one does not exist!

I’m not happy with ByHours. During their published business hours, they are not answering the phone. It seems that their phone number is disconnected. No support available on their web chat. I emailed them 12 hours in advance of my scheduled stay to request a change due to a flight delay of 20 hours. No reply. Hilton Paris Charles de Gaulle can’t do anything directly about my reservation either. They need to fix this within 4 hours or I will consider this company a hoax.

I was charged more than I was supposed to and they only got me a partial refund for the difference. They claim no responsibility, nor does the hotel. They said there is nothing they can do about it. So what's the advantage of paying by the hour if in the end you pay like a whole day?
This service is a good idea but it just isn't working properly.

Had a problem with (I'll admit the cheapest hotel on the site) of which the details are not important. It was handled with thoughtfulness, care, attention, and I really felt valued as a human being. I was offered a small amount of compensation to try again and I was thrilled with that. I travel 40 weeks a year. Me and this company are going to get along well.

ByHours did a good job of modifying my booking at the last minute but their customer service was not as prompt as I would have liked which caused me significant frustration and loss of time trying to resolve. During their published business hours, they are not answering the phone and no support was available on their web chat. The other difficulty is that the hotel can’t do anything directly about my reservation either.
My recommendation is to cancel any reservation and book a new one instead of asking their customer service to modify it, especially within 24 hours of the reservation. That way one can be sure of the new reservation. When there is a potential for flight delays it might be better to book at the last minute after arrival.

Very angry to find that my reservation was not honoured at Hyatt Place, the hotel was fully booked when I arrived despite having a reservation through BYHOURS, I was left stranded without a hotel room.
Do not trust this website.

Everything worked well until payment.
I was supposed to pay 44 Canadian dollars but instead the hotel charged me 44 British Pounds (about $30 more). Hotel said that their system only allowed payments in their currency. ByHours is saying that they're in touch with the hotel but nothing has been done in more than 3 weeks. I booked with ByHours and they are not taking any responsibility. I feel left alone.

Have booked a couple of micro stays through this website and in comparison to sites such as dayuse, has a much easier navigation of website and confirmations with hotels are immediate. References can be checked as soon as It has been booked and I have had no problems with checkins or payments. Very grateful for this trustworthy and economic option provided by byhours.

Rip Off! Wanted to book a few hours in a hotel on a layover, it made me think there was no availability so ended up paying for a whole night! Turns out there was availability but they only way you can book per hour is directly with the hotel themselves!
