Got my first motability car here at Macclesfield,a lovely ford fiesta.
Really relaxed atmosphere.
Explained everything very well to me.
Bryon Brown was very patient with me and he should be claiming shoe leather as he was up and down the showroom to print documents.
Nothing was to much trouble for this guy.
Great clean car dealership with great staff.
Thanks so much

Just wanted to add from my oct 13th review. Zac promised faithfully to call me back. I have not heard from him or BSM. Think they are struggling. Even their so called customer service dept are quiet. Speaks volumes no reply on trust pilot either. Tends to happen to poor companies who dont live up to expectation

Nice and chilled sales no pressure. Was nice to go somewhere that you didn’t get pressured into buying lots of stuff you don’t want

Just keep driving past this place and take your vehicle for maintenance work anywhere but here. BSM at Bolton have to be the most disorganised and disingenuous garage Ive had the misfortune to trust with my vehicle.
Not only do they charge £95 hr leading to warranty companies requiring assessor visits due to the stupendous costs involved. This is so far off the scale, when you consider your local GP earns around £50 hr and many trades people less than £20 just for comparison. These are just mechanics with a wrench, its not the proverbial rocket science.
Alas, the misfortune doesn't confine itself to mere cost. After two weeks of wrangling, with my truck in pieces and around 40 to 50 phone calls, to keep the whole sorry process moving. They couldn't even find a spare courtesy car for any of this time, so Im left jumping on buses and borrowing cars.
Eventually they complete the job and then proceed to hold onto my truck because they forget to even invoice the job to the warranty company, which took another 2 days to sort.
Just hope the parts last so I dont have to spend any more of my life waiting for them to get their collective act together.

Bought ex demo from overseas, offered full asking price, after the deal they told us the mileage was 1000+ more than told at point of sale. The offered us three things to make up for it, £100 off price, Diamond coat, and a tank of fuel. On collection the £100 off price that was offered as compensation was fulfilled the full tank of fuel was not fulfilled and we had to force them to put it in. Diamond coat was not fulfilled, it had been put on 12 months earlier when the car had entered service and was not an extra at all I have the certificate with the date October 2018, it was NOT redone at point of sale. All in all a bunch of liars who once the cash is paid over( had to do a bank transfer the day before as travelling overseas to collect) where just useless. We have been through this process 3 times and never been ripped us like this. Let the buyer beware. Read their reviews, it is a recurring theme!

I left positive feedback for Dean Richardson at Bristol Street Motors Sunderland when I bought my car in September but I've had further excellent service from Dean this week, he goes out of his way to make contact to ensure everything is ok with the service received. The car is still amazing too! Thank you once again Dean. Best wishes Jackie S.

This review relates to Jack Forster - Nissan Darlington and our Purchase of a Nissan Duke. At no time did Jack put us under any pressure and was very helpful and polite but most importantly always very professional. As a result we got not only the car we wanted but 3 years stress motoring with the Service Plan we took out.
Well done Jack and Nissan Darlington Jim & Hilary Eccleston

Not a dealer prepared to address issues with continual warranty work having to be carried out on a 3 year old Hyundai Santa Fe
When I question why I am having to have work every few weeks at the minute due to the poor build quality of my Sata Fe (2016 plate) I just get a shrug of the shoulders and comments like “these things happen”
I was warned not to deal with Bristol Street Motors in Banbury before I purchased a vehicle with them....I wish had had heeded the advice.
Steer well clear of this chain of dealers...they do not understand the meaning of customer service (except for the service reception staff who are always helpful...and it is clear they are frustrated with their management who prefer to remain faceless and not want to deal with customers when requested)

Purchased a brand new Leon FR from Seat Derby Bristol Street Motors. The sales advisor was Jordan Bain and I couldn't have asked for someone more accommodating.
Jordan got me the exact car specification I required and went above and beyond for me. He was happy to answer any questions I had and always made sure I fully understood all the details.
I am very happy with the service I have received and would highly recommend Jordan Bain to anyone who is looking to buy a car.

Very disappointing service.
Had to order two new keys, paid by Amex, then return and have the keys programmed. After waiting 1 1/2 hours I was asked for the security code. Not being informed this was needed, I had to return home to retrieve and hastily told if I was not back within 20 minutes I would have to reschedule as they were very busy.
Thankfully I returned on time and waited another hour. Once the programming was completed I offered my Amex card to complete the transaction, only to be told they don't take Amex because they get charged. Adamant, I was then told I can't leave without paying the bill!
Fortunately I had another card on me that I was able to transfer money to and pay the bill.
Needless to say I won't be buying Vauxhall again!

I purchased a Ford Fiesta black and red edition 140BHP from Bristol Street motors Bolton in January 2016. Had no problems with the car or Bristol Street Motors until April 2019. Cylinder 3 had lost compression and the spark plug was wet. The car at this time was three months out of warranty at this time, the car had also been serviced independently due to the substantial service costs from Bristol street motors. THIS IS WHEN THE ISSUES STARTED.
Firstly, i was told that i would have to take the car in for a diagnostic at a cost to myself of £80 for a 2 min video of a mechanic checking the tires and brakes POINTLESS !!. then i was told that i would have to pay £1100 for the engine to be stripped to find out what the problem was, and then ford MAY make a contribution to fixing the issue, i was looking at a minimum of £4000 to have this problem fixed, even thought he car was being returned under PCP finance in December 2019.
I sent Bristol street motors a letter as advised by Citizens advice. they IGNORED it. they then told be that because it wasn't serviced by them they would do nothing about it. under block exemption the car can be serviced at any VAT registered garage and not void the warranty. again they lied to me to get money out of me.
I took the Claim up with my finance company, Barclays partner finance. they informed me that if i could prove by written report from an independent garage that the fault was either present of developing at the time of purchase, i could reject the car. so i did, Bristol street again rejected my rejection of the car. ONLY when the legal team from the finance company stepped in Bristol street wanted to strip down the engine at their cost. (3 months after the car went faulty). They found that the issue was the exact same as secified in the independent report. CRACKED PISTON.
Bristol Street, advised in these exact words " because of the age of the car and how many miles that have been done we will not front any cost"
A three year old car with 25000 miles should not have such a destructive failure. especially when the warranty on the car is 3 years / 60000 miles.
finally the finance company rejected the car on my behalf. and i have finally washed my hands of it and this money grabbing useless company.
All the time Bristol street motors where dragging there feet i have no courtesy car or help from them even though i was still making payments !!!!
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY A CAR FROM BRISTOL STREET MOTORS BOLTON. THEY GIVE YOU NO HELP ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY, AND THEY ALWAYS WANT MORE.

Terrible Company. The service I recieved was terrible.
The service is also misleading. Most of the vehicles are NOT at Bristol St but at other dealers. The car I wanted was at Honda Doncaster and the service I received from them was terrible. They did not provide 0% as they claim and there complaints service was very poor.

Beware untrained staff at Hyundai Bristol. I was led to believe a car had 9000 on the clock when it actually had 42000 on the clock, it was passed off as being a different car. Why not talk about the car I was interested in. I was also told certain things were supplied, but when I checked I had been charged an extra £700. Not exactly dishonest but questionable by omission. I cancelled the purchase.

Bristol Street Stafford branch.
So, I bought my little Fiesta in the summer which was fine, sales manager was excellent but it wasn't a difficult sell. Took out an extended warranty. No problems. However front tyres needed air every month. Took it to a tyre garage as the warning light kept coming on. Tyre garage found out the valves were leaking badly and would have been leaking at the time the car was handed over he thought. Was annoyed that this wasn't checked when the car was handed over to me. It's an very inexpensive fix I just ordered the valves off the internet and took them to be fitted, cost me £16.00 Second problem, electric window didn't work. Rang garage who informed me there may be a diagnostic charge of £80 if not covered under the warranty in addition to the work being carried out. I was not informed about this when I took out the warranty in the first place. Really unhappy as they couldn't give me any idea if the window would be covered. Dropped car in 8.00am one morning was contacted at 3.15pm same day to say still not sure if car would be covered. How long does it take to take off a door panel FGS Katie the call handler was very nice and I was very annoyed. Car ready next day under warranty. Was informed that I wouldn't have been charged this time an extra £80! Wanted to speak to the GM but informed he was away for Christmas and NY. I have contacted other members of the group and the £80 seems to vary from branch to branch so just be aware. Note to BSM Stafford - contact Nissan at Stafford for advice on how they treat their customers.

Unscrupulous dealings - Haydn Rd, Nottm
The actual salesman was a nice fella, and the car is decent. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. Unwilling to pay for the overpriced extras, I was told I could save £1000 by buying the car on finance (I was offering cash), and paying it off after 6 months. 6 months later, this has actually cost me £1300 EXTRA. The Sales Manager can’t be bothered to call me back, neither can the General Manager. The Service Manager acted in a similar fashion when I had a mechanical issue in the first week. They’re very quick to phone you with their service plans though! I have been robbed, and I will not be taking this lying down.
Update 8th Dec - Received an email following this review which said "I have spoken with management at the dealership and have been informed the team are going to contact you next week when the sales manager has returned to resolve this with you". Surprise surprise ! They didn't contact me. Time to take this to a higher level I think.
Update 20th Dec - I was finally contacted on the 10th Dec and offered a derisory sum of money. It is now, bizarrely, in hands of their legal team. Unsurprisingly, I have heard nothing from anyone since. I will be at their gates handing out leaflets to warn potential buyers/victims, as soon as I get a chance. I will have my day!

We brought a seat Leon from Bristol street Shirley at the end of October 2018. The day we went to test drive someone had stolen the wing mirror casing off the passenger side. We were told this would be rectified by the day of collection. On the day of collection the wing mirror casing was on but re sprayed in the wrong colour. We were told to come back in a week for it to be changed.
After having the car a few hours we noticed a knocking noise we rang immediately and told them in which they said they would see to when it went in next week.
A week later we have a wing mirror that matches but a knocking noise we were told we would have to take to seat to pay for it to be looked at even though it was an immediate issue and should be fixed there. After calls to head office we finally got put in a Ford Fiesta and they took the seat to seat Birmingham to be looked at. Seat then sent a video of the car explaining just how damaged it is underneath. Parts hanging off and screws loose! This car had been in an accident and repaired badly and no one had told us!
After several complaints and calls to head office and management they agreed to put us in another car after leaving us for over a week with no contact.
We went in nearly 2 weeks ago now chose a Ford Focus and they said they would get it delivered from the depot it was at and get us straight in it. We still do not have the car however they rang today to say it would be ready for collection tomorrow and we can pay the tax when we get there..?! We did not pay the tax on the Leon and this is a cost we were not made aware of at any point! To top it off after mentioning the time we would finish work to be able to collect we were told “that doesn’t really work for us” are they serious!? We’re expected to ask for time off work and lose more money just to suit them?!
I have never in my life experienced such bad customer service. Gerome at Bristol street Shirley is an absolute joke to the management and customer service world! This complaint will be taken a lot further ... we will see if we even manage to pick up a car tomorrow.

Bought a brand new mokka from Bristol street motors Northampton 3 weeks out of its 3year warranty ended up having to pay nearly £5000 for a new engine.i had a engine management light come on but as quick as it came on it went off I rang to get it booked in to be checked but couldn’t get it in for 2weeks not once was I told don’t drive because it wasn’t on anymore . 2days later it was towed in by the AA after it wouldn’t start the AA actually came in to the service desk while I was booking it in and said they’d managed to get it started no light was on and he was baffled. 3 weeks later they actually told me they were taking the cylinder cap off to check car 1week later was told about the engine 4 weeks after was then told after so many lies about the engine not in the country that it didn’t work and I needed a fan £500 which I refused to pay . Eventually got my car back after over 9 weeks and plenty of phone calls that were not returned . Yes I had a courtesy car from them but I think I’ve been treated terribly. Managing director couldn’t even return a email that I sent to him (spineless)

I thought I would share my experience regarding my recent purchase from Bristol Street Motors in Halifax.
Salesman Ben Kind spent quiet sometime over quite some days helping me choose my new Nissan
X-trail. I wanted to get it right as it was an expensive vehicle. Ben explained everything to me about the different models and finance so I could choose the best for my budget. Nothing was too much trouble and he made me feel, at all times a very valued customer.
I have bought many cars in my time but have to say, the customer service I received here was the best yet.... Thanks Ben I will be back!

absolutely awful Company - bought a brand new Vauxhall Mokka - £24550
from Bristol Street - Vauxhall dealer in Riverside Northampton - the 2nd set of alloy wheels have badly corroded - the first ones lasted 17 months & this new set have lasted 20 months - so , 2 sets of alloy wheels have lasted 37 months . Bristol Street have refused to even LOOK at them as the vehicle was outside of the 36 month warranty . I issued them with a standard letter stating that under the Consumer Statuary Rights act of Oct. 2015 it is their responsibility to put the situation right irrespective of manufacturers warranty . When I gave them the letter their Manager just said " oh we get hundreds of those letters , we are not bothered about them " . So the Consumer rights act means nothing to this Company - this shows the consideration they show to a customer & the law !! Still waiting for them to respond . I would urge everybody to avoid them like the plague - very bad Dealership - stay away !! Written & reviewed by Harry Hume - NOT Sandra hume
