Moni had my contact then Brinks took it over, raised my monthly Fee. Got that straightened out. Then I asked if I moved out of the country what happens to the contract. They said I would be released, until I actually moved. They are now going back on their word. No matter how much I send them it’s never enough to satisfy them. Now they say they no longer offer that option. How surprising! Also my backdoor kept blowing open one night and all I got from them were text messages telling me my backdoor was open. Good thing it was only the wind and not an intruder!

Beware of this company advertising several features - - you will have to pay for every feature that they tell you, write it all down and tell them to email you what is included in your account down to the last light sensor or zwave device or else you wont get it or will have to pay extra! I have smart home included in my account but in order to add more zwave lights that I can control on my cellphone they are asking $3/month more and take note: I already have this feature before they upgraded my panel

Somehow after trying to find out how long I had to cancel i find out somehow I got screwed into a 60 MONTH CONTRACT. I thought the contract length was 36 months. Now i'm stuck with these cameras that hardly ever work, paying more and more each month. I should have known when the technicians who came had no idea what they were doing and destroyed every part of the walls they installed anything on. I don't even know what to do!

Terrible customer service. I've used Brinks only because they bought the company I used to use, which was great. I tried to cancel and got the complete run around. They try to sell you and upsell you. They really don't want you to quick.
I highly recommend you not use this company. Rated #1 in JD Power survey, maybe until your try to cancel.

We had Brinks come and set up our system in June, we've had nothing but problems, our smoke detectors keep going down and now our doorbell camera is not working, when we called them we were told we had to have a technician come out to move the smoke detector as it was installed in the wrong spot and we would have to pay for the technician. I'm sorry your tech installed it in the wrong spot and we have to pay to have him come and fix something that should have been done the right the first time. As for our doorbell camera they are saying it doesn't work because our wifi isn't strong enough but we have the internet 600 and it worked fine for the first 3 months so why is it no longer working? Seriously paying for all of the bells and whistles but nothing works.

I recently updated my WiFi and had to reset all the cameras which I did except my panel no longer gives me notifications or shows me the live camera. I did call about this and was told I would have to pay $60 for a technician to come out which is ridiculous. why should I have to pay for the equipment not functioning properly? I’m seriously considering canceling my service and returning ADT.

Not satisfied with this at all, for one the panel shut down and called to tell about it and they were going to charge me $200 for them to come out and fix it, Then when I'm away I get a message that one of the camera's not working, how am I supposed to get any protection that I'm paying for! I no longer want to do anymore business with you're company ever ever again!!!....

Brinks is the worst security system I’ve had. Moni was bad but brinks is terrible! When you call in expect 5-10 minute hold time and then the agent wants you to walk through all sorts of tier one useless garble or charge you more to set up the technician. I finally called to have a wireless sensor thats had issues forever replaced (which the agent said she could ship to me for $35 and I could replace myself if I wanted to) but I said nah let the tech come and do a once over While here. I got the call to schedule a technician today and she told me it would be over 30 days for an appointment!!!! For a sensor I could replace myself??!! What the heck! I guess I’m gonna just find another alarm monitoring company cause that was the last straw. Stay away from brinks. I’ve already had another security company tell me they are a pain to deal with!

Awful just terrible company. Dont believe these fake sites that say differ. Terrible equipment that has to be replaced monthly and customer service EVEN WORST! Most terrible experience I've had with any company and even though they are aware their equipment dosen't work they will still not let you out of contract so your stuck paying with no protection. Customer service does not speak English just trash

Brinks bought out the alarm monitoring service we had had for the past several years. The consistently increased the monitoring fees, all the while offering NO icrease in service.
I cancelled and transferred to another service.
Now, I can't get Brinks to quit contacting me. I have phoned and asked to not be contacted. I have emailed and asked to not be contacted. I have filed a BBB complaint for harassment.
NOTHING. Brinks continues to contact me.
My adivce. AVOID BRINKS COMPLETELY.

Have been very disappointed in this service. We have had nothing but poor customer service. The service rarely calls our phone when alarms go off. Just recently found out that evidently I’m in a 5 year contract that I knew nothing about and have never s never signed any paperwork. The billing department is another story, every month I have to call and attempt to correct issues. Completely unsatisfied and would never advise anyone to purchase system . We have tried to cancel service many times to be told that’s not possible . DO NOT USE BRINKS , your family and home will not be safe .

We were loyal customers with Monitronics 9 years and did not know Brinks even had anything to do with our account until I cancelled the service. We were paying through Automatic draft. We still had the old original system nothing fancy very basic yet our bill still increased. Salesmen for another Security Company stopped by and showed us their system with cameras and automated door locks. We tried calling Monitronics but could not reach anyone. The new sales guy tells me Monitronics is now Brinks. Wow! I had never received anything from Brinks. We decided to switch companies and upgrade our system. They installed it that evening. Next day I get Brinks on the phone and tell them to cancel my service. I explain that I have new service with another company and need the auto payments stopped and they say they understand and blah blah blah. I have talked to them multiple times, text and emailed them. Then I get triple billed. Yes they charged my credit card. Then sent me a paper bill for the same month they had already been paid for and charged me for another month of service after they were canceled, plus late fees, paper billing fee, recovering fees and then added tax to all of it. Wow Brinks Stinks!

I was with Monitronics...and finally decided to cancel since I didn't turn it on ever and we live in an extremely secure area. I had to go through three people to get to someone who said they could cancel my contract (it was up) but "what would it take to keep you"....I said "No Cost" they said they couldn't do that but would do $12 a month. OK....they send the contract, I signed (HUGE mistake) they sold to Brinks and now I want to cancel and they say the contract was for five years. To cancel I have to pay a fee of over $700. What a scam. They have a "bill of rights" and the last one is "The right to cancel". NOPE....only in the first 30 days.....be VERY careful what you sign....they just want you on the hook.

Every since Brinks bought out Monotronics, it has been a headache. I have to call them every month since December 2018, to tell them I still haven't received a bill. This is very frustrating. Brinks is beyond the worst company to have. I will definitely be changing my security system if still this continue next month.

My family moved a few months past. Customer Service agreed that if I activate my system at the new home, I would in return get 3 new sensors and would not have to pay the service fee for the panel to get reprogrammed. Last month I received an invoice for the programming of the panel. I called Customer Service, they agreed and said they could see in the notes that this was offered and to not pay the bill. This month my account was auto drafted the service fee. When I called I was told they could not see these notes and that they would not refund the amount back to me in full. After spending over an hour each time on the phone and not getting what was promised, I will not be renewing my service and would not recommend this company to anyone.

Brinks customer service SUCKS!!!! I am writing this review while on hold with brinks. I been on hold now for over 30 minutes. It is almost impossible to speak to a human being UNLESS you want to purchase a new alarm system but for all existing customers it is almost impossible to speak to a human.

First of all, I was very disappointed at the amount of time that I had to wait on the phone one hour and one minute I waited for someone to answer my questions. This was onAugust 23 2019. I also called on August 22, 2019 and waited on the phone 31 minutes to have the security agent tell me that there was no one available to assist me. This kind of customer relationship is certainly something that there is no excuse for. Therefore I am totally dissatisfied with the customer service department. Every time I call I have to wait on the phone more than 20 to 25 minutes before I get someone to speak to that could possibly help me. I also call on August 26, 2019 and was on the phone 25 minutes before I was able to talk with someone. At that point I asked if they could call me back they said they would send a message to the technicians and they would call me back As of this date August 28, 2019 no one has returned my call. So I am totally dissatisfied with the customer relations department.

Works company ever. bunch of crooks. When they want you to sign up they will do whatever it takes. Once you signed contract they don't care of their existing customer. Their focus is all about getting new customers. Once you are there you are screwed b/c you signed contract with them. They never mailed me a bill and than they charged me hundreds of dollar in one sum amount it. Looting consuers.

Don't try to get out of your contract or it's highway robbery. They do not work well with a move if you don't bring your stuff. We were forced to sign a contract extension or pay nearly $1000 to fulfill the contract on the house we sold. Not a happy camper. I'm sure there are better service companies out there. I seldom use the alarm but pay for it anyway.

So far, not very satisfied, it errors a lot. We haven't turned it on because nearly immediately after service was activated, a battery in one of the windows went bad. Now, I'm frustrated because the $25.00 a month I was told we'd be billed each month just auto deducted for $60.44,,,,not cool

Everything about them is garbage ..... their equipment has been a wreck since the start of service and the customer is even worse. I was going to use ADT but Brinks had a deal and now i know why because they suck. I regret buying all their equipment. Dont use them.
Jacob B. You have not disappointed by days going by you have lived up to the Brinks name. Strong promise and weak as hell follow threw. I would cancel my contract but I would be forced to pay every month left on contract with no service received. Your worse than the potential criminals your suppose to stop.
Hahaha you would say that, what about my 3 calls prior about my motion alarm malfunctioning and problems I had with alarm people calling me, not acting on situation for 8 minutes. What about the problem I have with Brinks highway robbery and wanting to collect every month's payment left on contract to cancel even though they didn't receive service. What about the fact that even if I wanted to buy sensors they are on back order so I couldn't even order them anyways. What about the fact that I was told call back when I reached a year of service to get a discount and extend my contract which is ridiculous. You guys are crooks. It took me hours of waiting just to contact the right people about sensors. So yeah downplay it about me just wanting a discount on sensors hahaha go screw yourself and BRINKS is ultimately no different than the crooks they try to protect against.
