Wow I thought a new CEO was recently brought in to make improvements??? Not doing a very good job then! Seriously anyone considering ordering for your kids birthday or Christmas this year. It's not worth the stress and seeing your child upset because this company has become a joke!
I have been a long term customer of Brighthouse and never had any really major issues with them. Until now on 26th September 2019.. I ordered online on 18th September and as it's my son's 16th Birthday on 27th September, I chose the delivery date on 25th just incase there were any issues. Ha as for Priority delivery ( what a joke) I called the Bridgewater store who have always been amazing in all the time I have been a Customer. I wanted to double check everything was in order and was told my delivery date would be 26th September. So I said is that a definite aa it's the day before my sons birthday! And was told yes everything is good and all paid for, so felt reassured! Today 26th. My son set his alarm for early and has been excited all day about his delivery. I decided to call the store about 4pm to check everything was ok and was told, there was no delivery today. The Bridgewater Manager Dawn was really great and understanding and did everything in her power to help. However it was out of her hands and she has forwarded a complaint to head office. I have paid a month in advance for my son's 16th Birthday. His 16th Birthday is a milestone birthday so even more special. Someone made the decision to change the delivery till next Tuesday yet didn't have the courtesy to let me or my store know. Again what a joke for Priority delivery! Beware of ordering anything for Christmas as I would not wish this on anyone else. My son is in distress and thanks to Brighthouse wont have his birthday gift that his been so excited about plus as he gave his 2 monitor's to a friend yesterday as he was expecting his Asus gaming monitor along with a Samsung TV today. I now have an extremely upset teenager who wont be able to enjoy gaming with his friends this weekend and feels his birthday has been ruined. Oh I was totally insulated by an offer of a free week. What an insult by Brighthouse that have ruined my son's 16th Birthday and now I have to tear around on his actual birthday to make other arrangements. This is not a successful way to run a bussiness, especially how to treat loyal long standing customers. Well I feel they made a wrong move with their new CEO as far as I can see his not made anything better, so whats he actually doing? This is the 1st birthday my son has EVER woke up to no birthday gifts and thanks to this ridiculous badly run greedy company that don't give a dam about it's customers. They are so quick to charge people if they miss one payment, so we should charge them if they dont deliver on time, as my son and I have wasted our whole day waiting in for the date they said and on top of that I called the store to double check last Saturday that it would be definitely arriving as it's my sons 16th next day. So a milestone special birthday I will be taken legal action for Breech of contract, letting trading standards know aswell as taking this to the small claims court. And the financial Ombudsmen. Also I will probably take this to the newspapers as I don't want this to happen to any other kids, especially with Christmas coming up. Brighthouse has gone down hill and as a result of whoever changed my date to next Tuesday which I would have then paid for 2 weeks ago ( so 2 weeks interest in the bank for them) However that is actually my money I paid in good faith and they cant even be bothered to deliver on the date I was guaranteed. They had the nerve to change it without even asking me if that was ok..Shame on you brighthouse for letting down my 16 year old son and leaving me to pick up the pieces.... Brighthouse is going down hill fast, especially when it can't even deliver on correct dates, They are in breech of contract! Sod it I'm going to the media as my sin has always had amazing birthdays and being 16 year old he was really looking forward to his birthday gifts and my heart breaks knowing he has none to wake up to tomo. So as a mum I have the stress of running around trying to arrange something else etc on the actual day of his birthday. BRIGHTHOUSE HAS CAUSED HARM AND DISTRESS TO MY SON AND I WILL EXPOSE AND SHAME THEM AND TAKE LEGAL ACTION IF THEY DONT COME UP WITH WHAT I QUITE FAIRLY SUGGESTED SEEMING MY SON'S WAKING UP WITH NO BIRTHDAY GIFTS TOMO DUE TO THIS COMPANY. SERIOUSLY GUY'S THIS COMPANY IS TOO RISKY TO ORDER BIRTHDAY AND CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR AS IT'S NOT FAIR OUR KIDS SUFFER DUE TO THIS GREEDY COMPANY THAT ALREADY HAS RIDICULOUSLY HIGH INTEREST AND CERTAINLY MAKE MONEY FROM US, SO LEAST THEY CAN DO IS DELIVER ON THE CORRECT DELIVERY DATE! I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR SUCH A DIRTY COMPANY THAT CARES NOTHING FOR IT'S CUSTOMERS. OH AND MISS ONE PAYMENT THEY WILL HASSLE YOU WORSE THAN BAILIFFS. THIS COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED. SOMEONE TOLD ME OF A BETTER COMPANY THAN BRIGHTHOUSE A WHILE BACK BUT I WAS LOYAL TO BRIGHTHOUSE. BUT I WIL BE CHECKING IT OUT AS BRIGHTHOUSE HAS CAUSED MY SON DISTRESS BY LETTING HIM DOWN ON HIS BIRTHDAY THERFORE THEY ARE NOT IN MY GOOD BOOKS! CANT SEE SUCH A COMPANY LASTING WITH RUNNING A BUSSINESS LIKE THAT..... THINK VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU GO DOWN THE BRIGHTHOUSE ROUTE YA ALL. THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS BETTER THAN BRIGHTHOUSE... MAYBE THIS WAS A BLESSING IN DISGUISE TO WALK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND LOOK INTO THEM A BIT MORE... BE WISE PEOPLE.

Purchased a Samsung S10+ recently and i received it pretty quick after looking at the phone i found that when i went on samsung galaxy members app even though i set the phone in English it was all in Hungarian after researching i found this because the phone was not intended for sale in the uk market and that the nice 2 year warranty that samsung uk offer is void because it was never supposed to be sold in the uk. brighthouse really dont seem to be bothered about this for some reason and think its acceptable to sell these phones with no warranty provided by them or the manufacturer. so be careful people make sure the product they are selling you is intended for retail in the uk otherwise if anything goes wrong and you dont have insurance you will be stuck with a very expensive paperweight that you will probably still be paying off

Two stars because the staff are lovely but the repair system is messed up!
I had an issue with my laptop and as it states if it can't be fixed you will be replaced with one that is the same spec and age.
So I collected a laptop from the store this year as a replacement. Got home to find it had brighthouse 20016 on it and a password. Store couldn't remember the password so wanted to send it in for repair.
Told them not to bother I would get someone to wipe it including windows and remove the password.
Then I find out it is older like years older than NY original one and way less specs.
Anyway, it broke. Sent it in for repair was told a newer model was been sent. My old model just proof they give me any old crap last time.
I get home last night notice no way to connect to wifi, flight mode is off only says ethernet.
I think okay possibly because windows and all drivers are out of date so sit on a cold floor for hours with it connected by ethernet and still nothing.
So again I have to send it in for repair and wait up to 10 days because it hadn't been checked!
I could have lived with that if I wasn't a freelance web designer. After been told Monday it was booked with courier I agreed to do work for someone and now risk getting negative feedback because I have to ask for more time as i now again will have no laptop.

Waited longer than expected for delivery, once arrived my tv had cracks down the screen, I was then passed around to people to chase up for a new one, heavily pregnant I was told to put my tv in my car and drop it off at the shop to then pick up a new one. Not helpful whatsoever and would not recommend to anyone.

I've experienced such a bad service with this company. It has now been going on for roughly 3 months. I purchased a refurbished sofa because I felt I was getting a great deal. The girl in the shop was very helpful but now i know why, I wonder how much she earned from selling that piece of s**t to me!!! It was a corner sofa bed that arrived with no mattress and half the amount of cushions it was supposed to. It was also not assembled correctly and was quite uncomfortable to sit on as a result. After going back and fourth for a couple of months, trying to get all rectified, I gave up and just purchased a brand new one. The delivery was today and to my amazement, it was NOT a brand new one that was delivered (no original packaging) I phoned the store to find out why, to be greeted with "it is a brand new one from the shop floor" Now correct me if I'm wrong but a display sofa is not brand new right? and according to the shop, they can not order one???? even though its in the catalogue. I'm dumbfounded that this is acceptable to them? Such a poor poor service from start to finish..... just come and collect this so I can buy a sofa from a company that are not con artists.

I recived a call the day my new cooker should of arrived to be told "It's not fit for purpose" so will not be delivered on day and another cooker will not arrive for a week . I had paid 80 pounds to have my old gas cooker tapped of the night befor due delivery date so had no cooker for a week , I'm 60 years old and terminally ill , not go customer services.

What ever happened to freedom of speech as soon as I said something brighthouse didn't like they complained about it it's not fair that I am not all freedom of speech but the management of there stores can speak to you like dirt and get away with it I have been a good customer to them for years always payed my bill the customers deserve respect I will not buy any more from brighthouse till this is sorted out I don't deserve the lack of disrespect I get in store from the management every time I go in the store
