I purchased a boys Necktie through Amazon SOLD BY: Boxed-Gifts on April 26th. I paid additional shipping (more than twice the cost of the tie itself) to expedite the delivery. I was suppose to receive the tie today April 29th, however instead of the tie I received an email from Amazon stating it seems as if the Seller never shipped the tie because Amazon never received shipment confirmation. I called Amazon and they attempted to contact Boxed-Gifts to get this issue resolved. Box-Gifts answering machine states they open M-F 8:00-5:30. At 8:05 est time the Amazon rep and myself were able to get through. A woman answered (sounding half asleep), Amazon explained the issue and this was what the lady responded... I can’t help you because you have reached the answering service and we would need to call back in 15 minutes (as if we were calling a doctors office instead of a company, how dumb do they think consumers are???)
At 8:34 a.m. I called & got the answering machine.
At 8:35 a.m. I called & got the answering machine.
At 9:16 a.m. I called and finally got through. This time a man answered. I explained the issue, pointed out that I paid approximately $10 extra to have the item by today, and the urgency of receiving the tie prior to Saturday. The rep stated the tie might have been Out of Stock but they might have gotten a shipment in today. If so... it would ship today and I should have it no later than Thursday or Friday. He would also credit me the expedited shipping I paid. He took down my phone number and stated he would call me back. I never heard back from them.
At 2:05 p.m. I called & got the answering machine.
At 2:07 p.m. I called & got the answering machine & left a message attempting to follow-up.
At 3:43 p.m. I called & got the answering machine.
At 5:15 p.m. I called & got the answering machine.
Finally TIRED, I called Amazon @ 5:17 to report Boxed-Gifts. Amazon also tried calling them as a final attempt at redemption and got the answering machine. I requested Amazon cancel the order that as of 5:17 still hadn’t shipped based on Amazon’s database, a FULL REFUND, and reported Boxed-Gifts for being irresponsible, not following through on their promises, and not for filling my order.
