I had over 6000 points over the year, started to notice the challenges were reducing to a point where there were none for months on end. Would have been nice for them to inform people that they are going to stop this altogether so people don't waste their time using this app to update their data. Google search and found this out that its no more.

Worst ever avoid like the plague. I have saved up 5300 points which I never seem to be able to spend on anything. They make it really complicated and anything you can afford is never available. They then changed it completely and I don't even know what my points can be spent on now. Contacted them in October last year (almost 7 months ago) and they said they would try to get back to me in 30 days! I contacted them again 3 months ago to say I have heard nothing back and they are now just ignoring me. Total waste of time! Oh and funnily enough they don't have a twitter page so you can complain in public and their Facebook page has no way of putting anything public on it either. Wonder why.

AVOID this organisation at all costs! They don't deliver what they promise! Their Iphone challenges are absolutely useless and impossible to get rewards from!! They also closed their facebook account after people tried to contact and complain about them via their facebook page, they banned people who did this. Finally their web portal will be closed too. Despicable operations from a company who raised their customers' high hopes but failed to deliver!!

Understood that they had to change the idea of bounts and offer challenges instead-was still a motivating idea. Even without big prizes it would still be good to join others in fitness. But there are rarely any challenges to join. I have over 1000 points and can never spend any to join the non-existent challenges so what is the point of this app-it is not motivating at all. I don't even bother clicking on my app anymore which shows it has no impact at all on my exercise!

Taken money and they cannot give anything back. I am just amazed that the app is still available for download and this "small team of 4" are still beating this dead horse of a company. Even more amazing that they have completely gotten away with everything because, in the eyes of the law, have done nothing wrong. But morally, this company is the worst and they should feel ashamed.

Installed in hopes to get further benefits for my exercise however there is never challenges apart front today which no point in now doing based on the shop, so my hopes to rack up points is 20 per 7,000 steps but after frequently looking back at the shop there is only 2 things on there (for the entire shop) one is not even available and the other requires a couple thousand points AND money over 30 pounds just for a hoodie which i dont need. This app isnt beneficial at all and have uninstalled ot today. Sad to have such a bad experience.

Still not replying to messages! Now not awarding the correct amount of points and there has been no challenges available for months. Steer clear. This company looks like they have no intention of operating a fair and honest scheme! Unsurprisingly they have now gone bust after pocketing a lot of people’s money. Funny how you can reply, report and deny honest reviews on your business on Trust Pilot so quickly but don’t have the decency to reply to people’s emails! AVOID ACTIVE INSPIRATION!! (Their new company)

This was a brilliant idea to start with but expanded too quickly. Since the changes we were promised there would be opportunities to use our credits for guaranteed prizes.
I haven't been able to get anything since last may and now sitting on 17000 odd points and very little competition wise. I had paid for an upgrade subscription and thankfully i had managed to cover my cost's. More than happy enough to give this a chance but point just accumulating and nothing to put these against.
Sad end for what was a promising start. I have now removed the app from my phone.

Hi. I can no longer log in my account as a network error message appears. I tried reinstalling the app but still the same. I tried emailing bounts support and got a reply saying my account has been suspended. I now have no means of contacting bounts. I see they respond on this site. Please can someone explain what is happening.

What is the point of emailing me with info of your latest challenges, if I am unable to access them because I am one of the apparent minority who use a computer to view my Bounts Profile and Dashboard?
You did not have the decency to warn me that this was going to happen, not that I can do anything about it. Why do you assume that everyone of your customers is able to use a mobile phone, and that 3G is a universal minimum - I rarely get 1G in this area, so am not going to waste it on your site.

Having recently lost my partner to cancer, I've been trying to get a simple answer from their contacts page on numerous occasions since the beginning of August regarding how I donate all of my 7945 points to a cancer charity. To be met only with eventual rude replies questioning my understanding of the site!
On reading other reviews via this site and their lack of simple customer service, I no longer feel any need to take part in what can only be described as their humiliation via email of their customers simple requests. Customer service never supplied and now no longer requested.

They seem to have gone away .. no current challenges, no forthcoming challenges, and, of course, no way to spend my 17,000 points. Was a good idea, but failed execution.

I paid for the premium and gave the company the benefit of the doubt when they changed to a challenge based rewards, but since then I have not received any of the special challenges for premium customers that I was promised. I have no intention of wasting any more time on this, and if this is still running I can't see it lasting much longer.

By far the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of having to deal with . They took my money yet never had the chance to use the points accrued, . I have also had a read through all the comments they have replied to and really do have to Leigh at them. I'm glad to finally have nothing to do with them and feel there are far better and more honest options out there.

I sent a 'support request' straight after the reply to the previous trustpilot review.
That one vanished after I had been told to provide my Paypal... which I did.
I then tried at least two other 'support requests' to get the matter resolved to no avail.
How can a company manage to reply to a trustpilot review in under an hour - but take four months to respond and deal with contact via their own contact system and only do so following a review of my customer service experience?
I paid for something and turned out it was not what had been advertised.
So Can my wife and I just please have our money back.
Bounts should also spend a little more time checking their facts before threats of legal action - As for the assertion that I have made 4 negative reviews towards bounts - that is inaccurate. I have reviewed the product and then my customer service experience (so two reviews by my count - I have made one other review - which was for 5 stars because that company was excellent and deserved it) And I have provided them the email that confirms my first contact was months ago, not on the 1st July as claimed in their reply.
I reviewed the app previously, this isn't a review of that, this is my experience of dealing with what is apparently 'customer service'
My previous review set out that I thought it was a good idea and I (and my wife) paid for a 'premium membership' shortly after the business model changed, making our premium membership pointless.
So having taken the advice given on here I raised a 'request' multiple times... I was responded to one my first attempt - they asked for a Paypal, which I provided... then nothing.
A further 3 attempts to get a reply and nothing.
It has been Truly awful customer service - from a company that has had a failed project that doesn't seem to want to refund the customers that purchased one thing, but ultimately got something else? If you ignore the requests for a refund, (even after accepting that you will provide one) that seems a good way to avoid paying.
I can't speak to how the app is supposed to work now... I've accrued over 17000 points, which doesn't seem to be able to get me anything other than entering what is essentially a game of chance/luck, rather than accruing points which could be used to purchase vouchers?

Bounts was originally set up as a rewards programme for excercise. I paid my yearly subscription.
You got points for various activities which you could then use to exchange for vouchers.
The problem was the vouchers were never in stock.
Bounts realised they couldn't handle the demand for vouchers and stopped the subscriptions of the members who had pay to earn points quicker, no refunds offered. Vouchers have now gone and you can enter challenges using your points.
I have over 10,000 points which I now can not exchange for vouchers. But I can use 40 to 200 at a time to enter a challenge get nothing in return.
I have been asking for a refund of my subscription since the changes were announced and they said no, I have since asked why and they will not answer my emails. Do not trust them.

Paid for subscription, have never received the special challenges that were promised for those that paid for the premium account, messaged a few times via app with never a response, no recent challenges on the app.
Is Bounts still active?

I paid for a 12 month Premium subscription in July last year. I didn't cancel my membership in October when Bounts was having a crisis because, despite the lack of stock in the shop and the woolly statements made on Facebook, I really did want to give this company the benefit of the doubt.
There was no mention made by Bounts that the October offer to refund membership was limited time deal before the company and my membership changed beyond all recognition. I felt completely duped as a result of that and very disappointed.
Overnight, Bounts turned into something that I never signed up for - something significantly different to the service that was originally sold to me. I don't really want to do 'challenges' for goodness knows what reward because I set my OWN challenges. "Kudos" is irrelevant. Entering a draw for a fitness tracker when I already *have* a fitness tracker that I'm using to count my steps for Bounts points is just stupid.
So I requested a membership refund and was told 'We will not be issuing a refund'. Instead, I was pointed to a personal challenge where I could redeem my points for a £5 voucher. I went along with it because the company had released a bunch of 'No, we don't care' statements before disappearing from social media and I still had points to use. What else could I do under the circumstances?
That personal challenge was in November. No other challenge of that sort has materialised, so I can gather points, but use them for nothing of value.
I've tried to persevere because I really liked the idea of Bounts, but the company are failing to offer me any motivation. Quite the opposite, really.
The app is slow and clunky, the 'challenges' dull and pretty irrelevant to me, the customer service has always been painfully slow and disordered (the bulk of staff time seems to now be spent replying to valid criticism on Trustpilot)* and all in all, Bounts has just been a massive waste of time and money.
*I don't care about a reply. Please don't bother.
Review by Tareeq Tsakiris2 years ago
I sent the below to Bounts 19/03/17 and have not received a reply:
I politely requested a refund for my premium + membership in November, due to me not receiving the email regarding the upcoming changes to the reward system, and therefore missing the deadline for refunds. Unfortunately you refused my request, stating my I would get the full value of my paid membership back via personal challenges. This has not been the case. I spent £16.48 on your premium membership last year (1 month then 1 year respectively), I didn't order a single voucher with my points, and since the changes I have only been offered one personal challenge to the value of £5. This still leaves me £11.48 out of pocket, with a lot of useless points, not to mention months of wasted time tracking activities and checking into gyms. Even if I was invited to further personal challenges I would certainly not describe completing one to earn my own money back as a "reward".
Your previous email states "We believe the changes are consistent with our goal to motivate people to exercise." I disagree. All accruing points does now is allow me to enter what are essentially prize draws, or access promotional "discounts" on paid goods or services that are of no interest to me. This is neither motivating nor rewarding.
My premium membership was purchased in good faith and almost a year later I have nothing to show for it. I am asking once more for my money to be refunded.

Good idea but has bugs and not great offers. Takes ages to load and difficult to navigate. Still use once a month though to keep records but would like to use daily, just not up to the job.

When I signed up for this site I used to look forward to exercising to gain points. Then they changed the terms of their service and basically stopped offering vouchers for points. They then became completely demotivating. Thankfully I run/exercise for my health and not just the points. Can no longer say that they offer any incentive - perhaps if you live in Liverpool or have never exercised - otherwise there are far better sites out there.

Total and absolute waste of time! I had Bounts for about a year and racked up a load of points - I've just spent time looking to see how to put them to use and there were a total of 2 'offers'...not simply 2 offers for the amount of points I had, 2 offers in total! Such rubbish, I've just deactivated my account and won't be going back to it - avoid, avoid, avoid!!
