I went to Bali for a week long vacation but wanted to spend 3-4 days in a Yoga school learning yoga in a genuine way where teachers teach genuinely and not as a fashion or in a superficial way. And i must say that my experience at Aayaa yoga, Bali was simply superb! I loved everything about it, the schedule, the sincerity of teachers, food, accommodation, location. and lastly the loving teachers Shanti, Via and Ida. I am going back there again sometime in future. Its close to ubud market but yet in silent serene location. Accommodation is simple but good for such courses. i strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn sincerely and not just as a casual thing.

My experience with Book Yoga Retreats has been awesome and I will most likely use them again to book future yoga teacher trainings and retreats.
My only complaint is the fact that if you opt to pay just the deposit through them, they don't allow you to pay the remaining balance through them. This proved to be very annoying as I had to use a third party transfer service to pay the rest of my ytt tuition.
In the future, I will either pay the full amount all at once, or try to pay the training or retreat directly to avoid that happening again.

ABOUT FLOWERS AND FIRE YOGA RETREAT
I had to go home from my Bali trip earlier then expected due to sicknes, even though the Flowers and Fire Yoga Garden in Gili Air could rebook my room, they won't return the money back of €219!! Yoga should be peace and love and should certainly not be about money! Really greedy from their side, I would not recommend this place in any way! Thank you Flowers for your kind support!!!

I've done one retreat in Bali and one in Phuket, and both exceeded my expectations.
The variety of retreats available on this website - in terms of location, duration, budget, and focus of activities - is incredible. I've additionally been impressed with the responsiveness to my communications.
Whether you're a total beginner or an advanced yogi, this is a great site. Also, as a holiday option, yoga retreats are fabulous for meeting nice, interesting people, as well as for personal growth if you're into that kind of thing.
I will definitely be using the site again, and have already recommended it to friends and family.

Was very easy to use and book. The experience was great
Only thing that was not clear is that I needed to get the confirmation first before buying the air tickets:) but it all went well at the end

Rubbish back up when their advertised yoga retreats let you down and don’t refund your payment after umpteen phone calls and emails!

Very good site...has a comprehensive detail of all the yoga institutes. However the prices are a bit higher than what you would get if you book by calling the institute directly

We loved The Remedy Retreats January weekend. This retreat will suit all levels of experience of yoga from a yoga teacher, me, to my husband Paul, a complete beginner. I think we both took so much from the weekend with lots of practical tips to bring home to help you think about living a more meaningful and happier life. We have never been on a yoga retreat together but I would highly recommned this experience to couples to share something different and have an opportunity to rest, renew and reconnect togther as a couple.
Ali's knowledge of yoga, philopshy and mindfulness added a huge amount to the weekend and has resonated with us and has an afterlife once you return home.
What a lovely house where you are made to feel so welcome, as if you are staying with Ali and James. The Remedy Retreat offer a thoughtful level of attention to detail from essential oils and candles for the ultimate in a relaxing bath to thought provoking books and magazines and blankets to snuggle down with. James' cooking was fabulous and really added to the weekend. Delicous, hearty and health vegan meals that even the most devoted meat eater (my husband would probably fall into this category) left feeling full, safisfied and more intested in vegan food. I loved the snacks and particularily the chocolate pudding.
Thank you Ali and James- we would love to do the retreat again!

I have used bookeyogaretreats twice and found the choice of retreats great and the booking process simple. They are the first place I look when looking for a yoga retreat abroad.

On the one hand the site provides much information on available retreats. On the other, the site prevents potential participants and retreat organizers to correspond directly. It is only possible via their site which is (a) cumbersome, and (b) the site takes out information without informing the participants. The information is typically a phone number or e-mail address. They want to ensure that payment goes thru them only, otherwise one could bypass them. They should get some payment for their service. But especially for yoga retreats, a quick phone call between organizer and client can very quickly identify whether the retreat is suitable or not. Especially, the removal of information without informing the participants is unacceptable.

Great way to find a wide variety of yoga retreats based on location and dates. Found an amazing place that I had never heard of before!
Some of the information was a bit difficult to see on mobile phone but other than that worked great.

My expectation was to be in a QUITE, CALM and SPIRITUAL place with a group of people to meditate and practice some yoga.
The reality was: It was just me and my friend (2 girls) in the retreat. There was NO ONE besides us there. ( Which didn't make any sense, as the pictures you guys use to advertise the retreat, shows a group of people?!) - Also, when we got there and asked about the waterfalls programs that would be in the second day, we realized that was nothing near a spiritual experience AT ALL, as They said that it would be just a driver taking me and my friend to see the 5 waterfalls ( It doesnt make any sense!!!!)
We decided to stayed anyway because we had ALREADY paid THE FULL PRICCE and also we wanted to have the experience anyways, as we were already there.
During the first class ( P.S.: the instructor was super kind) there was a construction going on next to the place(literally NEXT to it) with A LOT of noise. IMPOSSIBLE to concentrate. We couldn't even hear the instructor, (and as I said, its was only me and my friend, so we were seated literally in front of him) but with the noises was impossible to hear something else rather then the construction.
After the horrible experience of the yoga with a loud and annoying sound in our heads, we had the free time to explore Ubud, BUT there was NO ONE there that speaks English. There were only 2 guys working there (probably locals,I don't even blame them) That couldn't even call a taxi for us to leave the retreat.
After a while, they called someone that understood English and put us on the phone to speak with them, so we could ask this person to call us a taxi.
We decided to leave the retreat ,because NOTHING that was offered by the website was happening and I wouldn't be there just me and a friend with a place with no people and NO PEACE.
We payed for a peaceful experience and ended up having a horrible and stressful time. We would like to have our FULL refund on it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 5-night/6-day yoga retreat at Bala Brook, nr. South Brent, Devon, UK. It was my first retreat.
A couple of things surprised me. One was the therapeutic slant to the practice. Naturally, this involves people 'opening up' to whatever's bothering them. I'm not sure delving into the 'self' is necessarily the best way to overcome problems. There are other options - faith, positive thinking and reducing the ego. Too often, 'getting in touch with the self' (which is, after all, only social construct) makes the self more important than it actually is.
The second thing that surprised was how one of the instructors walked barefoot both indoors and outdoors. We (the participants) had been asked to bring sandals or slippers so that we could take off our shoes when coming indoors. I totally agree with this common-sense idea. But walking barefoot outdoors brings dirt indoors and defeats the whole point of keeping indoors clean. The soles of his feet were filthy!
I look forward to attending another yoga retreat.

They offered an increase le variety of programs all over the world and with focus on many different aspects of yoga. They were also very fast to connect me with people from the program I chose to ask questions and sign up. A great, easy and smooth process!

This is one of those places that u dont want to leave, whether u r staying there 2 days or 2 months. Everything is perfect there. Yoga classes r full complex stretching of every muscle u have in ur body and positive energy which is created by teacher Rajan. He has a lot of knowledge in yoga, ayurveda and human body and is an amazing person on his own. Cant but mention beautiful nature, which was shown to us by hiking guide Dinesh. It's always interesting to be around him coz he knows so much. And of course Niru's food was very delicious. I am not a big fun of Asian cuisine, but I love everything they cooked. Thank u very much for this wonderful place.

Had no problem with BookyogaRetreats, so it was just a channel to find a retreat. However, some things were not included for those who booked over BookyogaRetreats in comparison to booking directly, so not sure if it is a lot of advantage. But sure it is a great channel to find the schools and retreats.

It's been a while since I was looking for a softer form of yoga retreat, which didn’t include endless hours of yoga and meditation per day (I was searching for a little bit more relaxing approach), but at the same time had an holistic approach to well-being and that's what I found in this retreat.
I discovered how useful it could be to “combine” yoga practices with coaching as well as meditation and visualization, also during the osteopathic evaluation a lot of valuable things came out to be treasured.
Martina is a wonderful coach and yoga teacher, I can't wait to repeat the experience!
