The company shipped me a book with what looks to be nail polish all over it. Obvious damage and they shipped it anyway. Pages stuck together and greenish paint all over. Outside of 5 days so they won't refund. This is absolutely ridiculous bc this book should never have been boxed. Very poor service!

I have order several times from this company. They are the text book definition of "buy at your own risk." I have had order where the books came at great condition. I have had orders where the books came in TERRIBLE condition. I also never bought any of their "scratch and dent" items. You also maybe NOT be getting all the books you think you have ordered. You won't be getting an e-mail about it either. They just won't show up. Their customer service are some sad angry people who treat you like a moron and won't do a thing to help you. The only time it's good is when the book comes good (50/50 chance of that) and you don't have to deal with their $#*!y customer service people.

Customer service is a freakin joke. You are unable to receive timely responses. I was referred to this website by a friend. I received the referral coupon and I was unable to use the coupon provided. I reached out to customer service multiple times and they were unable to assist or provide any help in the matter. I will not be using this website to or referring anyone to use them in the future. What a Joke!

Have ordered from them for years and never had a problem until recently. One shipment, a newer high priced cookbook was removed from the box, but there was no damage to the box. It appears the book was stolen during the packing process. The second time was a small order of cookbooks and again, it had one out of print and thus valuable cookbook. This time the entire box was never turned over to shipping. Odd, that the only times I've had problems are also the only times I was getting a cookbook that had value and that both times the evidence points to an inside job. All this to say, don't expect to actually receive what you order if it would have any value in the marketplace. They have obvious issues and display a complete lack of concern to their customers. I'm looking elsewhere for books now.

I ordered 13 children books for a little less than $40.
All arrived in great condition and at a much cheaper price than any other book seller site that I've done a comparisons to (and obviously much cheaper than going to the book store.)
Recieved my package today and I'm already adding more books to my cart for my next order!

I read the reviews on bookoutlet.ca, and was worried to order. But the prices are so tempting, so I decided to give it a try and ordered about $30 worth of books. They all arrived in great condition, took about a week (I live in Toronto, and they are based in Ontario, so that might have helped). It was delivered by Canada Post, no issues at all.
I will probably order more in the future, and hope it will go as smoothly as this first time.

There was a lot of negative reviews on books. My experience was terrific! I ordered 11 books and they all came in in perfect condition, no wears or tears or marks anywhere. I will 100% order from boom outlet again.

DO NOT buy anything from this website! It's a complete ripoff and dishonest business. I placed an order over a month ago and still haven't received it. I have reached out and created a ticket on the website and no one ever responds. At this point, they have stolen my $65.

My experience with Book Outlet was the worst that I've had with any company. It was two weeks before they even transported the book to the post office, book still hasn't arrived at destination four weeks after initial order, it took their complaint department four days to reply to my first complaint, I'm still waiting for their reply to my second complaint and request for money back. I wish I'd looked at this site before and benefited from other people's equally bad experience. They're either dishonest or incompetent; how hard is it to ship a book?

I first found bookoutlet.ca in the spring during lockdown. I have since placed 4 orders with them. All of my books have arrived in great condition and I'm always excited to find books on their site that I have been waiting to read. I love taking advantage of the bigger sales(more than 15% off) and have also used 2 coupon codes from their loyalty points program. I have recevied points for friends ordering which is great. When I didn't receive rewards for taking loyalty quizzes I emailed customer service and was given the points immediately. I am very happy with bookoutlet and will continue to order from them for myself and my family.

I never received my package nor a refund for it, and I also placed another order which I cancelled (but was still charged for) and have STILL not received a refund, even though I cancelled the order almost three weeks and over ten business days ago... I am a full time student and really need this money returned to me as well as the money for the other order if they are not going to send me the books.

Great seller! Until now I have bought multiple bargain books here without any issues. They all looked like new and are really cheap compared to other shops. The shipping costs are sometimes higher than the prices of the books by itself, but altogether still cheaper than elsewhere.
Shipping to the Netherlands takes a bit long (about 4/5 weeks). But if you don’t mind that, it is a real good shop!

I was deeply concerned about my orders as I read the reviews after I paid for them, but was pleasantly surprised when my order of 6 books arrived within a 2 week window in Vancouver, as did an order of 7 different books sent to my sister as a birthday gift (to Oakville). They were all "bargain" books, but the minor blemishes associated with them were hardly cause for the greatly discounted prices I paid, so no complaints. I would actually rate this experience as 4.5 if I could. I only rate 5's when I experience consistently good service. So if I experience the same quality and service on my next order, I'll bump my rating up to a 5.
