The forum is good for if I want to get the latest information on Irish radio but there is a section that's a bit rough. After Hours has lots of hungry powered, judgmental moderators that always edit, move, remove or close my posts. Enter at your own risk.

Threads closed with no reason, "Moderators" with a superiority complex. I found a lot of left wing attitudes by the "Moderators" and most advice on fixing something is usually advised to call in expensive tradesmen which is just covering their arses. Also as said before trolling and bullying is rampant.

Unacceptable. The site is rampant with trolls and bullies, this is not just confined to the 'regular' users, the moderators themselves are petty and vindictive. Would not have believed it if I hadnt experienced it myself. Do NOT seek advice here you will be attacked. Very distressing experience.

Having posted a few times in the past. Boards seems to have outgrown itself &is clearly no longer fit for purpose.. moderators of certain forum's seem to each have a small group of (on their side only) friends who seem intent on bullying any member that might actually offer any different advice / comment which might challenge the mods views. Very childish group indeed that likes to talk what crap there made of. And usually post thousands of posts on various topics..ie experts on everything or so they would try to persuade you so by their conduct.

An absolute disgrace forum.Supposed to be neutral to politics, race and ethnical, and freedom of speech.
Its very obvious its run by leftwing supporters and Antifa.
Stay away from it.

I have to agree with jblb;bkblkb and Neil on this one. Not somewhere to go if you are looking for genuine advice. The site is full of trolls and bullies. Extreme and unfair moderating based on moderators own personal bias. No regard for the sites own rules, terms and conditions. Unacceptable experience unreasonable and rude conduct. Very disheartening.

Long time user of boards but it's been ruined by over-moderation, over-commercialisation and the smug attitudes of those responsible for running the site. Avoid.

Very immature bunch of people on Boards.ie. It's less a discussion site than a place where point of views are funneled into the desired opinion by means of smart comments, childish behavior and pathetic moderators. It is what I can only descrive as very middle class and uber politically correct opinions permeate the place. I feel this is a poor setting for a discussion that may involve any topic which should have honest discussion by those involved, interested and actually in direct participation or with experience of the said issue being discussed. Instead you are basically brow beaten to conform to the majority opinion. It claims to have massive membership, but active user numbers are quite low and a lot of the traffic generated on there is by a small dedicated core user group of about 2000 people. Very poor example of a discussion site.

Ireland's largest discussion forum. 100% legit.
The previous reviewer obviously has a vendetta against the site's moderation. The main rule on boards.ie has always been "don't be a $#*!" and this certainly gets you places on there. This allows serious discussion in forums that require it, while others such as After Hours are much more relaxed.
Again, don't be a $#*! and you'll be fine. I've used this site since 2003.

I used to love this site as information coming from ppl was very useful, however when I posted information about a session that was happening ONE moderator had teh power to ban me from the site WITHOUT WARNING, furthermore there doesnt appear to be an appeal system or in fact properly run, In various threads there is cursing etc. and other people plugging their own sessions gigs, etc as i did without being banned, Unfornately this website holds alot of useful information for me about my local area, I just hope another website comes on line that is better and properly run!

@lukeosborne - McAfee SiteAdviser makes mistakes ... frequently ... like they did here, which is one of the reasons I abandoned SiteAdvisor in favour of WOT.
That Green Joker Poker doesn't exist and their evidence is very shabby.

This is an Irish set of Internet forums covering virtually all imaginable topics for discussion. Excellent on all fronts, though there are some forums on matters like Sex and Sexuality but you need to be a "Subscriber" (i.e. paid member) to see those.
