I am a vegetarian, the meals are very good with interesting flavors. My only suggestion is there are too many breads, pasta and rice, carbed out.

Love the selection of choices, portion size, flavor. We look forward to opening our box each week. Will soon explore the 3 meals per week option.

I have enjoyed some of the meals we have made. Sometimes we are disappointed that the food is too bland. Often I am disappointed in the quality of the meat -- had chicken pieces that included cartilage (yuck) and very fatty pork for burgers. At $10+ a meal the meat should be reliably high quality. I am not a new cook, I subscribed to Blue Apron to encourage my teens to cook dinner with me supervising. They enjoy the process. Instructions are well done for them, but video links would be better. I am considering trying other services that have higher quality ingredients.

My husband and I are really enjoying our Blue Apron meals. There have been a few that while they sounded great fell a little short of the mark, however, we have had some seriously amazing meals as well. We appreciate the quality of the ingredients received. The meat is some of the best meat we have had outside of pricey restaurants. We have also tried new flavors that we might not have ever tried if not for Blue Apron!

Only concern is it is a little pricey, but the convenience almost offesets that. Food is responsibly sourced and delicious.

I don’t always have time to cook, so it would be helpful to know the shelf life of the items. I have already wasted one entire meal because Work went long daily.
I would like more options for things I ‘don’t eat’ in more detail. Example - I do not eat meat with skin or bone, so one meal that came with a quarter chicken went to a friend. I substituted a boneless skinless chicken breast.
I would like warning before I am charged for the next set of meals like in other repeat delivery services due to the frequency. I am uncertain when I am going to be charged for the next set and I need a reminder.
Lastly, it would be great to offer a discount for someone wanting to just pay for the month. If I want 2 meals a week for the entire month, the price would be discounted by like 10% per weekly set.

I’m on week 6 and I have really enjoyed Blue Apron so far. The meals have been easy yet still very flavorful. I love knowing I have 3 planned meals that I don’t have to personally plan and just the right amount of supplies sent. This introduces me to new combinations or flavors that I can then look for when cooking on my own. Plus they have their menu up a few weeks out so I have time to change if I don’t care for a selection.

I have really enjoyed getting to know Blue Apron. For my husband and me it is convenient and saves us money vs. buying all the ingredients for my old recipes. Plus saves time thinking about what to cook. We like all the meals, think the quality of the food is pretty good (not quite what I used to purchase - all organic, but good), good quantity, well packed. My only complaint is that it has missing items more times than I would like so I have to either modify the recipe or send the hubby out for the missing items. Customer service people have been great - very well trained and sensitive to customer's concerns. I will continue to use BA unless this missing items issue keeps springing up - which I hope it doesn't!!

I love the way they are boxed for delivery. I enjoy the fact that you send everything that is needed to complete the meal. The dishes I have cooked have been fresh food, which I also really like. It gives me a chance to try different dishes.

I feel the meat portions are a few ounces to small. When ordering for two, you typically have a male and a female. Four to five ounces of meat for a male is insufficient.
My recent package, the rice pack was busted open and rice all over the package and wet!! Not a happy camper for the price I paid!

We were apprehensive at first but we loved every meal we’ve cooked so far, and the price has been the best of all the services we’ve tried so far. Not to mention the freshness! Great!

I did the free trial and was charged $13.99. That amount has not been refunded to my credit card and I did notify you of my cancellation of the meals within two days of trying the “free” one.

I thought there would be more whole 30 meals based on the advertising but they were discontinued. The quality is good, it's just too time consuming to cook every night.

I love it...NO! We love it. I am so surprised at how easy the meals are, how good the food is, I can't wait to get my next box. My husband tends to be a bland eater and this has totally changed him. I take pictures to see how close my dish compares to the picture of Blue Apr
on. Love it.

They missed sending ingredients for 2 of the 3 meals and would not issue a refund for the missed ingredients.

I believe that the quality of the food is not always optimal. For example, chicken often uses lower quality parts of the chicken rather than the breast section. Ground Beef is very fatty and not as lean as it should be.
The recipes seem a bit too simple and the flavor is often enhanced by using spicey spices.

I decided to give Blue Apron a try when I heard everyone raving about it. I thought it would be an easy way to cook a meal for my family and cook a healthy meal at the same time. I placed my first order, excited to see what I was going to get! Well, the first disappointment came when I received my box. It literally looked like it had been drop kicked from the curb to my door! I took pictures of this to show Blue Apron because I was positive no one would believe a box was delivered in such condition! The items inside were ok, but a can of beans was dented. I threw that out--I had always heard not to use dented cans so I substituted my own can of beans. I started to open the packages that were in good condition and make my meal for the night. I didn't realize the meat came frozen, so I actually had to wait a day for it to thaw. The recipe was bbq chicken "burgers" with coleslaw and potato crisps. The cabbage was half brown, so I didn't use that either. The potato was ok as well as the chicken, etc. I made the recipe but to be honest, the cost was not worth it. They give you tiny individual packets of spices and ingredients, it's less money to buy your own ingredients and make the recipes. My family liked the chicken, but it was very expensive and not worth it in my opinion. I didn't think the food was packed very well in the box, hence the dented can, and it also didn't seem as "fresh" as I would have expected (brown cabbage). Tried it once, would not try it again. I could download recipes and make my own meals.

Blue Apron has served thousands of customers all over the world. I decided to put them to the test and try their meal kits service. The quality of their ingredients is amazing, and everything is farm fresh and organically produced.
Blue Apron delivers all the freshest meats, fish, fruits, and veggies direct to your door in an insulated box. They provide detailed instructions on how to prepare the meals courtesy of in-house chefs. I chose my meals for the week via the App Store, and all the ingredients were shipped directly to my door. They shop for the freshest produce, with quality ingredients from trusted suppliers.

I received a week of meals and although the recipes were simple to follow and they tasted good enough the problem for me was every single recipe required that the protein (chicken or beef) was fried in 2 tablespoons of oil. I don't eat fried foods. Most of what I eat is baked, broiled or barbecued. So this was a problem. One recipe had me fry everything, proteins and veggies. It called for a total of 6 tablespoons of oil over all. So for that reason, until they come up with recipes that aren't fried I've cancelled the plan.

Most dishes have been delicious and we enjoy the variety. It's great getting just the amounted needed for two servings and not buying a whole bunch of one ingredient we'll only use once or twice.

First off, we have enjoyed your service. A couple of points for improvement. At least for my delivery area FedX is very hard on your boxes and some food has been damaged beyond use. The herbs once the plastic covers are opened do not hold up. I think if you sealed the boxes more completely FedX would not use the lid as a handle and break down the integrity of the box.
Second, last week we got a package of ground beef that was clearly lamb. While the lamb was good, it makes you wonder about the quality control on the labeling.
Lastly, we did get a box where the Kale was completely left out and it took away from the completeness of that dinner.
Hope this is helpful. Alan
