I love the convenience and quality of Blue Apron. I have tried one other home meal delivery companies and found that the Blue Apron menus had more depth of flavor and explained a little more thoroughly. I like being able to control the spice of the food since I have a very low tolerance to hot/spicy. Having everything separate is perfect! The only "low" comment I would have is that the "thin-sliced beef" needs quite a bit of trimming to make it more palatable to my taste, but nothing terrible. Thanks Blue Apron!

I’ve enjoyed cooking with Blue Apron. I love having all the ingredients in one box and experiment with foods I never cooked with before.

Love the convenience factor, and the fact that there's minimal if any waste when preparing Blue Apron meals (as opposed to trying to make meals independently for two).
My only real complaint is that sometimes the quality of the cut of meat can be lacking, and sometimes the meals can be a little light on the portion size (considering the cost)...a few more potatoes or veggies wouldn't hurt anyone when you're roasting them, for example.

I cancelled my membership in sept.
They delivered a box to my old address yesterday. When I saw the delivery notice come through I called them immediately to let them know I had moved. I also asked for my account to not be charged. They said they would be charging my account.
I tried twice to get this resolved.
BUYES BEWARE.

I am very satisfied with the foods that they send over and the instructions are easy enough to understand, but sometimes I wish they would arrive on time. It sucks to come back from work only to sit around and wait for the produce to arrive.

The Blue Apron serves you the best if you are busy working mother but need a nutritious meal for your kids. Their ready to make meals delivered at your door step makes meals very convenient and opportune.

When I first started with Blue Apron, I almost cancelled. There were a couple of times that items were missing from my delivery and I called to complain. It seemed like no one cared. No suggestion of how to make it better, no apologies, nothing. I had to improvise with ingredients that I had in my kitchen, which at the time wasn't a lot.

I had to jump through hoops and pay 30 dollars to discontinue service having been a prior hello fresh customer I know their process was by far simpler and left me feeling like I would restart the service when ready I have no such feeling with your service!!

I used the service for 3 months and initially the quality of the products was good and there was excellent variety. After the first month, The produce was suboptimal. There were insects in the snow peas and the peas were chewed up in parts. There was mold on the peppers and parts of the pepper were liquified. Scallions were translucent and soggy. Zucchini was very soggy. My friend, who used the service for the same time period, found a dead lizard in her produce and a portion of another dead lizard when she started to chop up the bok choy.
Tomatoes were cracked and soggy. When I notified the company and sent photos they informed me that this happens with fresh produce. They did give me a credit of $24 but I really wanted safe food.
The side dishes were very generous but the protein portions were at the small end. I ended up purchasing fresh produce and more chicken in order to prepare a full meal for two people. Even though the portion size was small, the quality of the meat/chicken/shrimp was good. The other seafood was fishy (Alaskan pollock not so good).
The recipes were interesting and the variety was great. My husband really liked the meals because of the red pepper/hot sauce/spiciness. If it wasn't for the scary produce I probably would have continued with this program. But after 3 months, I was a little uneasy about what I might find when I opened up the box.....
Maybe it was just bad luck for me and for my friend but it is interesting that we both had the same negative experience.
I am planning to try a different company as I like the idea of preparing and cooking fresh meals.

This last week meals were the first time we were unimpressed. They were average at best.

Our experience with blue apron has been great! My only criticism is that the meals are advertised as taking under 40 min, while most of our meals tend to take 45-60 min. As a busy mom of two, I would love not to have to spend so much time preparing meals.

The food is always fresh and high quality. The recipes are diverse with a lot of flavor. The app is effective. Delivery is always prompt. Although lately the boxes have been a bit squished. It hasn’t ruined the quality of food. Just want the delivery handlers to take a little more caution and not throw them around. Sometimes the packages contain eggs.

like that the recipes never repeat and flexible plan. Generally easy to prepare and doesn’t necessitate too much clean up.
Quality of meat & produce seems to have declined over the last 6 months or so....often need to add extra produce to dishes so it’s not too ‘grain-heavy’.
Some recent QC issues as well I.e. missing ingredients; every time I have reported an issue, blue Apron has offered an account credit, which is nice.
Recently paused all upcoming deliveries to try out alternate service which is more expensive, but seems to have better quality and more interesting options.

I wish the recipes would require less chopping. Im still at that point where chopping all the ingredients still takes an hour and I tend to choose recipes that can be prepared in the least amount of time.
The other thing I would love is if they added more healthy meals - I chose most of the Mediterranean meals but sometimes those are not offered.

Lacks quality control, and demonstrates little desire to improve the experience. Four instances of missing ingredients, all of them critical specialty ingredients, with little apology and no explanation from Blue Apron when contacted. Maybe a $5-$10 refund, but not the $20+ price of a ruined meal, for sure. Almost every week, there is a smashed or leaking container where you have to scrape the sauce off the inside of the plastic bag and off of all of the other ingredients that were in the bag, too. Recipes are generally good and straightforward to prepare. It is a surprise and a relief each week that there are no missing ingredients.

My husband and I have enjoyed Blue Apron for years, and we do not plan on stopping any time soon. The service is almost perfect, and I love the new features they are constantly rolling out — however I cannot give the 5-star rating because there are still those occasional meals that are clunkers, take way too long to cook, or require a ton of clean-up. Overall we love it though, and recommend it to anyone that seems like a good fit.

Even though the meal prep can take a fair amount of time, the meals have been excellent and the recipes are exact and easy to follow. If I have had a slight problem, the company has responded quickly to resolve it, and is accommodating.

Recipes are good, however we are constantly missing ingredients, and/or packaging will be damaged, like the meat packages or the liquids will be punctured so it’ll leak over everything. The customers service has been good about crediting damaged goods or missing ingredients which is the only reason I would rate 4 stars, otherwise it would probably be a 3.

Generally the menu selections are always very good, and reading other customer's feedback is helpful if time permits.
As far as food quality, Blue Apron needs to continue to look for leaner, more tender cuts of beef, or perhaps introduce marinating the morning before. I can no longer order beef meals because my husband simply will not eat them! Too Tough!
I love that you have introduced the grilling option!
In the past, I would sometimes be missing an ingredient, but that has not occurred in the last year, so great improvement there!
Packaging continues to evolve in a positive way, everything has survived the hot summer heat on my doorstep.
I am also thrilled that you now offer a far easier way to switch from 2 to 4 servings. This works great when college kids come home!
The only other suggestion is allowing us to "opt out" of receiving garlic each week. I have a ton of it stockpiled and it just seems so wasteful.
