I booked two tickets for a musical theater show a long time ago to get tickets I could afford. The tickets was for Sunday evening during easter holiday.
Wednesday 14:58 I got an email saying the show was cancelled and I could change the tickets to another show date in all categories free of further charge. I didn't see the email before the office closed down for holiday two hours later.
I tried to call and email back to ask for tickets same Sunday at afternoon, but no one answered before two days later where I got an email not really answering my questions but just saying I must pay more since only the expensive seats were available for the afternoon show. I quickly answered and tried to call again but the phone was still saying "closed during holiday" even though someone apparently was at this office answering emails during holiday. I didn't hear from the office again before the show and decided to go to the theatre with the old tickets and talk to the staff there. We was let in and could choose whatever empty seat we liked, so that was actually nice.
But it is really dumb to cancel a show a few hours before a holiday and leave office until after the show. A lot of wasted time and frustration would have been spared if the cancellation email said that we could just show up and find a seat.
COMMENT TO REPLY:
It might not be true that it was only the Swedish office that was open during the holiday, because the unuseful mail I got was sent by a danish employee who also called me two days after the show offering me new tickets. But at that time I already saw the show.

When purchasing tickets I was first presented with a price, then a booking fee was added. This I accept.
Then, when forwarding, a second booking fee came on top. I am very dissatisfied with a second booking fee and the way it's added late in the process. Your booking fee should include whatever expences you have, and you can't just put fee after fee on top of each other. And even if you do this inappropriate thing, you should show it from the beginning.

During the order process, a checkbox is left empty with a text something like the following:
"Billetlugen will send you e-mails with events reminiscent of this event. Check this if you wish to opt out."
Fairly certain this practice is illegal in Denmark, if not entire EU.
It is - at least - an awful approach to by default decide "we want to spam buyers".

Excellent friendly service. I rang Musikhuset Aarhus from New Zealand, a very friendly gentleman answered my call and helped me with my purchase. Very happy with the help I received.

Has anybody read the "data protection politicy"?! (from www billetlugen dk /billetter.html?affiliate=DKA&doc=info/dataProtection) They need to get your Name, address, phone nr. and date of birth, e-mail address - to be able to deliver tickets? That is questionable in it self (I would get year of birth for age confirmation - even though this could be done via payment method). But what really ails me is that the share this info with:
CTS Eventim Solutions GmbH
CTS Eventim & Co. KGaA
This certainly is not necessary for any reasons besides further financial gain!

Website not scaled to handled bigger events. Crashes and lets ongoing transactions time out. Spent well over an hour on consecutive attempts to get tickets to rammstein in Stockholm.

Until recently the booking charges has been fair (DKK 10-20, appr. 5-10 % of the price of the actual ticket). But lately the charges have increased dtamatically. On the order form a booking charge of DKK 30.00 is announced (current standard), which in itself is remarkable, but if you look at the receit that amount doesn't have to cover it all. On my latest purchase an extra DKK 15.00 was added.
Billetlugen's charges are now 11-20 % of the ticket price.
What's the cause of this rise in charges? What do Billetlugen do to deserve such a substantial part of the actual ticket price?

When I had my tickets change to a new date, I had to pay for the new, and have the old ones refunded. It took more than a month to get this settled - but now the money has appeared, finally.

Bought 4 tickets to Kent's Concert in Copenhagen that got canceled. we paid 1.657,45 DKK in total, some of that is postage and booking fees.
Our refund when the show got cancelled was 750 Dkk. Billetlugen says that i loose 157 Dkk on this.
That does not really add up for me.
This show got really expensive since we flew in for the event.

I had to try multiple times to book tickets for a concert. I have a foreign credit card (from the US).
First, while trying to book the tickets, I got the option of adding on a restaurant meal. Once i clicked on one of the 9 or 10 options, I could not get back to the original purchase page. So, I had to start over, which meant my original seats were not available since they were apparently "on hold" with the booking I could not get back to.
Then, when I was finally ready to order, I input my credit card info and got a message like "cannot proceed due to security reasons." Nothing helpful. I double-checked the address and CC number and tried again. Same message. I called the credit-card company, and they verified the purchase had not even attempted to go through (so it was not the credit card company that denied the purchase). Apparently, the system did not want an American credit card . . . which is fine, IF they would tell you that sometime before you get all the way through the annoying process.

I was really upset when my first transaction with my Turkish credit card failed but Malene replied to my help request as lightning fast and she was so kind accepting to call me back, informing about the no caller id situation and with her warmest attitude. Also her great care about my visit and asking if i need any help in the city made me so happy. Thanks again and again

I went online to buy Eurovision final tickets this morning. I was 100th in the queue at 10am when the website opened, got through to the booking page, clicked on GRAND FINAL tickets, ordered 2, and paid for them. Then I get email confirmation saying I've booked 2 tickets for the 1st jury semi final!? I categorically DID NOT book those tickets. I have already booked flights & hotel for Saturday night and now I'm stuck with the wrong tickets and no cancellation. What a disgraceful company.

Michelle Mead below (nr. 233) shall have her money back, no doubt. Billetlugen is to blame, not Michelle. I was placed in the same situation by the system. Wonderful to be so lucky to get a ticket for the finale! - but no, no ticket. Of course the text must have changed, but there were absolutely no sign, that I was now in a new position and about to buy for the 5th and not the 10th of May. Nothing in the whole situation told me, that I was not buying for the finale and should not just go on and click to buy. I discovered it, the moment I was about to accept to buy, lucky me, but it is definitely not pleasant by Billetlugen and Denmark to put Michelle in this unpleasant situation. The system is simply not good enough. - My further comments are so many, that they will be delivered in a different way and in Danish. Shortly I can say, that the Swedish system for the event in Malmö last year functioned much better.
Regarding the reply, and thank you for that, only this: Wouldn't it be fair to think, that maybe Michelle, Henning and myself - and maybe many more? - are not just not very observant? A system can be wrong, and faults can occur, if it is not made good enough (or for big events?), and Billetlugen is the only responsible, not the users. There was no alert, as you mention, no sign at all. My reaction was "what happened there?". In addition we can't now sit and feel 100% sure, that there actually were sold out at that moment. And you could not just have a new try at once. Or change your order without starting a new process. Which you easily can by a physical "billetluge" or by phone. We had to wait for many, many minutes. Could it be a fact, that the system is not build for big events like ESC? Last year regarding Malmö in Sweden I was able to try again and again and again and in fact got many offers within the first half hour. I am sure, you know, that that was surely not the experience today, far from it.
We can only hope, that Denmark shall win once again in 2014, so we can show the world, that we are able to manage ESC in every aspect. With a different system ....

I went on line a little before 10.00 am today and came through the waiting que after approx. 30 minutes.
I marked 2 tickets for the final and completed the transaction with my credit card.
Felt very happy, as this is the Christmas present for my wife. Booked hotel in Copenhagen, also with the finals in mind.
Now ready to print confirmations out, I note my tickets are for Monday 5th. and not Saturday 10th.
This is of no use for me at all.
I note, the same has happened to other users today.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU COPENHAGEN?
If I go to purchase an airline ticket for a specific date, it is no good to automatically be given one for an alternative date.
SURELY THE SYSTEM SHOULD COME UP AND SAY, "SORRY THE DATE YOU REQUESTED IS FULLY BOOKED, WOULD YOU LIKE AN ALTERNATIVE DATE"?
