I first downloaded NoxPlayer for my Mac a couple of days ago, due to some "get-rich-quick" schemes that I realized were outdated. Still, I used NoxPlayer for some things.
A couple of minutes ago, it seems that it stops at 99% and doesn't go.
All of the troubleshooting tips I looked at couldn't be a problem, except for one that I saw, which probably didn't matter.
I tried my best, trying to find alternatives, but all of the alternatives had a humilating review status and I couldn't find any with an actually good review that was recently made (at least 5-8 months).
NoxPlayer is laggy, buggy, and this shows.

I downloaded nox to use for ibispaint x, since i had gotten used to that app and simply wanted to use it on my computer without issues or anything. first of all, laggy, it crashes very often and honestly just poor performance. Do not recommend this, especially if you want to keep up your progress in things you don't have an account or anything for.

So I installed it and as soon as it opens Mac OS saved me by stoping the harmful extensions from installing thank the lord Steve Jobs for saving me my computer would have died no signs of spyware no chromium it trued time install virtual box but I deleted it and once again thank Steve Jobs also thank Mac OS Catilina for stoping the virus

There should be the option to declare NO STARS!!! This a malware/virus program ( I haven't ruled out hostage). As soon as I downloaded the program, THE CAMERA ON MY COMPUTER ACTIVATED AND I WAS IN THE FRAME. There was a post to my memo on Gmail passwords on my phone stating " may be reversed." For me this is hostage ware. Not expecting a lot of good things in the future. Now I'm spending a lot of time trying to emergency stop any damage.

NOX installs "segurazo anti-virus software" and "chromium", both of which are malware. The latter's pretty easy to get rid of, but the former is a real pain and keeps coming back. Essentially, they eat up the PC's ram so that it slows down substantially and often crashes. To get rid of it, install malware bytes and quarantine/delete it (you don't need the premium)- this was the only way that would remove it for good from my experience. Hope this helps.
EDIT: just to emphasise the point, Nox itself isn't the malware. When you install it, it installs the the aforementioned programs. It's not even that great of an emulator - bluestacks is much safer and better.

Nix player is loaded with malware like segurazo antivirus and chromium, it's slow, takes a lot of ram and is worse than other emulators loke bluestacks, i will say it again DO NOT INSTALL NIX PLAYER

I used Nox for more than a year without issues. In the last month I started to get trojan, malware and virus warnings from BitDefender. Each time I carefully deleted the bad files. These are very nasty infections.
And then each Nox update brought new problems. I successfully uninstalled Nox but it left behind many, many files which I needed to find and remove manually. Never Again
running BlueStacks now and no problems.

All of the people saying it's got malware are dumb, Nox is a great program, if you've used a computer in the last 15 years most free programs have a side option for you to install other programs, it's what helps this project stay alive.
I've been using Nox for over 3 years and never had any problem.
it's not as if my PC is the greatest, I have a $500 custom built PC (built 4 years ago as well) and it runs fine, I get 60 FPS with ease on 1080p.
The reason it would show up as a virus to an antivirus is due to it trying to use many cores and a lot of ram, any antivirus will detect that it's trying to use HALF of your Ram.
Morale of the story: these people are dumb, it's great, don't be dumb like them and you'll be fine.

Do not install this - luckily my Avast AV stopped the download dead, before installation could begin. Full of malware and God knows what else. So much for a highly rated Macworld article that recommended it too...

Installed this and it also installed chromium and possibly hundreds of other viruses on my computer. My brother in law is a tech expert and spent over an hour cleaning everything off it. Thank God I have him otherwise ?♂️

Today I wanted to try an android app, had not used Nox in a while, it said update available. clicked on that. After that my Kaspersky virus scanner alerted me that malware was being installed: Segurazo malware. I did not get an opt out or anything, only for McAfee.
Luckily Kaspersky blocked most of it, after an extensive scan only one add on was installed in Firefox.
Avoid this program if you want to keep using your PC.

Noxplayer in the MUD !!!!!!!!
Make a sustainable product instead by taking a small fee and throw away the bogus "free" claim since the software are never installed.
I tried to download this after a Youtube video recommended t6hem as number 1 Android emulator. THey also claim on their website that their app is reliable but if they were they are not anymore.
Do not even try to download !!
They try to fool you into installing Yahoo search software, AVG, McAffee and I am sure others too by having small little boxes pre ticked for you to accept. Worse then GARBAGE!!!
I do not have a slow connection, old PC, old windows etc...everything Top notch but tired of crap.

Nox has malware that will install other adware and spyware onto your pc. you can't uninstall it normal and you may have to do a clean full windows/osx install to remove the viruses. do not install this crap.

Bundled with multiple malware now. Update offered no opt out option. Company has ignored multiple reports of this. Others have reported they did get an opt out screen, opted out, and still got the viruses and malware.

Yes, it in fact installs malware!! Apparently a recent addition. They've even 100% admitted that it's been bundled with their software on reddit, where many others are complaining about this issue.
