So the top I wanted was in stock in the color and size I needed. I was going to do a top with a skirt for my wedding dress. When the item arrived it was the wrong color. I Wanted the almond color and was sent an ivory/nude color. Called to exchange no problem, was told the item on the site says not in stock until May but was assured I would receive the correct color in a week or so and to hang onto the wrong item until the new one arrived. A week goes by and I can't track the exchange through the email I sent, so I call again . They gave me the wrong exchange number. They find my order and assure me it's on the way an order just came in. I told the rep it says online the color and size I need isn't shipping until May, will I actually be receiving the correct item? She checks with her supervisor and tells me I'll get the right one. Surprise surprise it's the wrong color again. So I call again and the rep told me I have to wait until May and just gave me a refund. Luckily I'm not getting married until October, but I don't want to wait 4 more months banking on them sending me the correct item. I'll be looking elsewhere for my wedding dress. Other reviews are saying it took forever to get their refunds I hope it's not the case with me, but we will see.

So excited I found a beautiful dress for my 50th HS reunion. Waited3 weeks for delivery. Recieved a box with a beaded blouse. Called customer service. Sorry, your dress no longer available. They are totally undependable. PS. Purchased a dress last year from them, a 6 is my size with room. The 6 from them was more like a 2. Never again.

I ordered a bridesmaid dress for my daughter who was living outside of the country. When she returned and tried on the bridesmaid dress it was too small. It hadn't been worn and the tags were still on it. The company refused to exchange the dress for a larger size because it was past the 30 day deadline. The employee I spoke to was very rude. The dress cost $250.00 and I was told that I would just have to order a new one and they would not let me return the old one. Never shop here!!!!!

Do not order anything from this company. They suck so bad. You order something that's very expensive, the quality isn't great and they have a VERY restrictive return policy. STAY AWAY.

My first purchase from this site and I'm beyond pleased with my dress! I'm glad I didn't read the customer reviews because I would have missed out on a great dress at an affordable price! High quality dress!

I ordered a BHLDN dress through Anthropologie. Actually I ordered two. I received one of the dresses and it was as advertised, however it looked cheap and I didn't like it. The other dress that I received was not the dress that I ordered. I took both dresses to my nearest Anthropologie store And returned both of them. They did tell me that I wasn't supposed to and returned both of them. They did tell me that I wasn't supposed to return BHLDN dresses in store, but that they would accept the return this one time.
I then received an email a couple days later stating that I was being re-charged for one of the dresses. The dress cost $450.
The reason was that the dress was incorrect. Yes, it was an incorrect dress that was sent to me. I have called and been told that "there is nothing they can do about it."
Completely ridiculous. What a scam of a store.

But the day it was scheduled to ship they emailed me saying I had not paid for it!! Then I got no response for email or phone. I then recieved an email 5 days later that my order had been cancelled!!!! I paid $250 for a dress I will never receive!!!!!!!!
Absolute worst bridal website!!!

I ordered the ginger convertible dress for a bridesmaid dress in dusty blue. The bride changed her mind about the color of the dress she wanted for the wedding party, however, it had been over the 30 day return period since I had bought it. I called BHLDN and dealt with a very helpful, kind lady who said she would honor the return and offered me free shipping to return in. I loved the dress so much, I wanted it in the new color the bride had picked but wasn't able to get a swatch in the fog color to make sure it matched the swatch the bride gave us. I called BHLDN again to see if they offered free shipping for returns and they offered me free overnight shipping and free shipping if I needed to return. Not to mention, the dress quality is impeccable! It's comfortable, functional, and stunning but simple design. I'm so shocked at all these horrible reviews!

PLEASE BE CAREFUL before ordering from BHLDN. I ordered a wedding gown and it was way too small, despite me ordering my normal size AND taking my measurements to be sure.
I returned the dress and waited weeks for a refund, but none came. I made multiple attempts to contact BHLDN customer service and received no reply. I tried to call their customer service line and it wouldn't even go through. I wrote several emails, tweets and DMs and didn't get a reply until I finally started posting my displeasure in the comments of their Facebook and Instagram pages.
Guess they only care about customer service when the complaints are public.

Do not order anything from them. I order 3 small tops and 1 full wedding skirt. They arrived in 4 huge separate boxes, shipping charges for all 4 oversized boxes came to £200. Quality of garment were poor. It cost £250 to return the items. I ordered the items in october and only now have I recieved a refund. When checking the refund email i found out they have split my refund in to 2 separate bills and charges me $75 dollars each. Absolute disgrace.

I've ordered a dress worth 900$ for internationals al shipment. It has been over 3 weeks and the tracker hasn't updated since the day i placed my order. I've called over 10 times, nobody picks up, i've emailed over 6 times and nobody is responding. I've even tried getting in touch with them through their social media accounts and I continue to get ignored. Echoing many others' complain. BHLDN order is Not to be trusted. First they mislabeled the dress, so the tag was right but the dress in the bag was wrong. Then the return tracking was a scam! I checked the tracking and it only reported that the item was delivered to the agent. That's it. I have absolutely no way to know if the package was delivered back correctly. I am waiting with blind faith that somehow I will get my refund.... Side note, customer service number is disconnected.

I ordered a full price dress for my sons wedding . I wanted to return it ,however they said I could not return it because it was more than 30 days past purchase date . The dress was full price, not on sale. This is RIDICULOUS !!!!!! You barely have an appropriate amount of time to receive it ,try it on ,and then make a decision about the purchase. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BHLDN. If you do not like your purchase, you cannot return it after 30 days.

My daughter and her bridesmaids purchased their gowns at Beholden, when purchasing they requested swatches of the Bridesmaids dresses to bring to the florist and order tuxedos. She received two blank cards in the mail, contacted customer service who sent her new ones, which were two blank cards, again no swatches, she ordered the swatches again online. She received two blank cards. After several phone calls with customer service, she was given a supervisor by the name of Shannon who said she would look into it and call her back. No one called, a fourth and fifth call to CS gave us the managers name of Stephanie who was to contact corporate and get back to us. Again, no one contacted us. My final call today was with a supervisor by the name of Miss Dobbs who pretty much told us we were out of luck. No bride should have to go through this kind of aggravation trying to get two one inch pieces of material of dresses they purchased. Huge Mistake, go to a reputable Bridal Salon and not this online disaster....hope this helps.

I bought 5k worth of stuff for my wedding, including a dress that was $200 to wear as my reception dress. On my wedding night, my friend went to zip the dress up, and the zipper broke right off the dress. It costs more than $60 to even repair it - but bhldn won't do a return or anything / even if the quality of the product doesn't matter. They got your money and give you a crappy product. They don't stand behind their products.

I did not have a good experience at BHLDN. I was not thrilled with the customer service because I felt rushed at the end of my appointment and pretty much pushed to the side. Regardless, I ended up ordering the wedding dress I wanted in the store and was assured it was an easy and full proof process. After waiting 2 months for my dress (they said it was on back order) IT NEVER CAME! I called to follow up a week after the "back order date," and was told it would ship in 24-48 hours. It didn't. Called back again, was told the dress was damaged and they would not sell it to me, but that I could pick something else for 30% off. I went online to look over the other dresses to see if that was something I would be interested in... and online it showed that my first choice dress was in stock. Called back the customer service line, got a different representative, and they said it was in stock and that they would overnight ship it to me. So I gave them my credit card again and placed the order again. And guess what, surprise, it never came. I panicked and went and found another dress at a local Seattle shop, beautiful and off the sale rack, that I was able to take home that day. Called BHLDN to cancel the order, since it hadn't even shipped yet, so no problem there. Blame the call center, blame the warehouse, blame whoever--the whole experience was bad and their communication in store and on the phone is not what you need when wedding dress shopping.

I assumed my high value wedding dress woud require a signature, so when I saw that my dress was delivered I was excited to come home and try it on. Well-turns out someone stole it or UPS "lost" it. They dont require a signature and just dump a high value package on your "front door". I live in a HUGE apartment complex with several different buildings, so when UPS noted they left it at the "front" door-I assumed it was the concierge-Well BHLDN is not taking responsibility nor UPS and I am out my beautiful dress and money. I have to file a police report and call the cc company and deal with this mess instead of focusing on my wedding. I have never dealt with such horrid customer service. THey dont care about doing whats right by the customers.

I have spent months dealing with this online company and every single person I've spoken to has given me the run around, lied about or changed policy at every turn and treated me poorly the entire time. Basic story, I bought a dress online on sale but not final sale. When I called to ask if I could return it, the person I spoke assured me that I could return but for an e gift card not a refund. I followed her instructions for return and even provided tracking confirmation that the dress was delivered to them. No e gift card ever sent and a different explanation from every person I spoke to. Told first person was wrong, that no it couldnt be returned , no such thing as an e gift card, that they never got it, etc etc... but a supervisor would call me, mind you this was after months of calling them weekly. A supervisor never called , but I finally got someone to refund my money...well here it is months later and they recharged me for the dress because they can't locate the return...so now I am out the money and have no dress to show for it...I'd I could give 0 stars I would!

DO NOT ORDER ON-LINE from Anthropolgie, BHLDN, or Free People! THREE years ago I ordered a couple of dresses from BHLDN for my daughter's wedding. The dresses totaled approximately $800. I returned the dresses, and it took TWELVE weeks to receive my refund. I emailed them several times, had proof that their warehouse had received it, and they said they were "backed up" and couldn't process the refund. I wrote a bad review on their website and received an email stating that if I didn't remove the bad review, they wouldn't allow me to purchase anything on line anymore. Of course I didn't remove it. I've tried to order a couple of things on line from Anthropology for my daughter's birthdays and sure enough, the orders were rejected. I tried to order something from Free People today, THREE YEARS after I wrote the first review, and received a notification that my order had been cancelled. I called Free People and asked why and they stated that a "hold" had been put on my account. I think this is a TERRIBLE way to operate a business. Basically, they try and "bully" you into not posting a bad review!

Ordered 6 ties on April 27th for my wedding that is June 8th. 3 ties came in 6 days later and when I checked on the others it said they were on back order until May 23rd. I DIDN'T know this before I purchased them. I waited until that day and inquired about them. They said they were pushed back until May 30th. I called on the 31st and they said they were pushed back until the 6th of June. When I asked if they could overnight ship them so I could use them in my wedding, I was told just to cancel the order because it wouldn't be there in time. So a week before my wedding, me and my father & father in law will not have the ties we wanted. It's a damn shame. The WORST company to purchase anything from. I would avoid this company like the plague.

Yesterday, I placed an online order at bhldn.com. I went through the checkout process, put in my card, received a confirmation page (didn't have time to write down the number, thinking I'd get a confirmation email), and saw that the money was deducted from my account. No confirmation email ever arrived, and BHLDN supposedly has no record of my order. I told them that I had proof that my card was charged, and they said that cannot be the case. Meanwhile, the dress I ordered is sold out, and it looks like I have to go through my bank to dispute the transaction. BTW, here is a screenshot to prove that my account was charged for $316.35.

I made an online order for a dress that was poorly designed and completely different in measurement than the guidelines provided, and paid $166 in import fees (and then I got to pay to ship it back). Nice, I love eating $200 CAD while planning and paying for a wedding. So it went back. I thought I would have better luck having an in-store fitting. That was another laugh. The girl who did my fitting (and she was young, and obviously not as experienced as many of the other ladies who did my fittings). She claimed that "BHLDN's sizes are closest to street size", and then said that she would place me in the size 14-16 range (my size is typically 4-6 pants, and 8 in dresses). After being measured numerous times, and being 5'4, 135 lbs (with an athletic, yet curvy build), I thought that seemed amiss (and I'm not a sizist...but it sounded off). She actually didn't really seem to know how to pin or clip properly for alterations. Needless to say, I did not make my dress choice there, and instead opted for a smaller, local, boutique shop with an amazing array of quality and eco-conscious dresses (my dress was a size 8 - and with room for alterations), and yeah, it cost more - but so what - the ladies at the boutique shop were amazing and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my dress that I got there. All in all, BHLDN needs better trained staff with experience, more accurate sizing descriptions online, and a far better return policy (including free shipping like most reputable online retailers), far better customer service, and more timely return of funds to customer payment accounts.

Dress was great. Store was great. Shopping experience was great. Customer service, via email and phone, totally useless!
I went with my daughter to the Chicago store. She couldn't decide between two dresses and the appointment was coming to an end. The consultant suggested that she order both dresses, get them home, and then decide. She kept assuring us that there would be no cost to us to return one of the dresses.
The dresses came. She picked the dress she wanted and packed up the one dress for return. Dress was worn for a couple of minutes; tags were intact; dress neatly in bag; all placed back in original shipping box including bubble like stuff on each side to keep it from moving around too much.
A couple of weeks later I got an email (because I was paying for the dress) that the dress had been received and instead of the entire $850 credit I was only being credited $775. ($800 dress plus $50 tax minus $75 for $775)
I started emailing and calling and have never gotten satisfactory answers.
The first email I sent, I asked why $75 was being deducted. I was told that it was a restocking fee. I kept asking and telling them that my email from BHLDN said I was being charged a "$75 Smart Label Fee". I kept asking what that was and always got none answers like like oh, that's just what we call a restocking fee. No one ever looked into that.
Then I was told that the website said they charge a $75 restocking fee; I countered with that it said there may be a fee.
After many, many emails again and phone calls they just kept telling me that they couldn't do anything about it but never once did I get an explanation.
Then I was told that the dress must have been damaged. I said that was impossible from the way it was packed and that if it truly was damaged they would have refused the return entirely.
During a phone call a rep told me that an inquiry was being sent to the returns department to find out why a restocking fee was charged and would take a couple of days and again my original returns notification email called it a Smart Label Fee.
Well, 5 business days later I still hadn't heard anything and sent another email asking why the decision was made to charge $75
Then yesterday I got: "Our financial corrections team has indicated the $75.00 restock fee can not be refunded. I apologize for the inconvenience." This was attached to my first email from the end of March, not even referring to the returns dept.
Customer service just gives the run around over and over and over again. One of the reasons this store was picked to shop at was because we were told dresses can be returned at no cost. Yes, I want the $75 credit but even more so I want proof of why they charged it not just being told basically that's what we do.
I will warn all future shoppers to not purchase unless you absolutely want the dress don't believe it when you're told it won't cost you a thing' and don't expect any answers from customer service.

This company is dishonest, and I would not recommend them at all. They don't list that items are final sale on their website and then expect you to interpret it from the end of their pricing on items. Even after a pre-purchase in-writing email from their support staff saying that I could return an item if I didn't like it, no listing on their product detail page saying that the item was non-returnable, and no mention in their return policy of the non-returnable items....they wouldn't let me return it. I would never use this company or recommend them. Plus, their dresses--even the expensive ones--are horrible quality.
