they often failed to reply to my emails. I write them because I need to buy something and the website doesn't show the price. But they never reply, so I have to buy it elsewhere. Happens multiple times. Seems no one is home!

Ordered BarTender Software on 8/23. Was told a Serial Key would be forthcoming soon, usually takes a couple of day. Called on 8/27 since I hadn't received an email with the Serial Key to that point. Asked to wait a couple of additional days so I figured I'd give it the week. On 9/3/2019 I still hadn't received my Key and I called to inquire why and got a run-around, I think his name was Tim. At that point, having a new bar code printer sitting with no software, I told him to cancel my order. He said fine and would issue an RMA. RMA? For what. I received nothing, nothing to send back. I questioned if I would also get an email stating my credit card would be credited for the full amount and he said yes. That day I received an RMA email but NO CREDIT. Waited a day and checked my VISA online and no credit issued. Had to call VISA to put in a disputed claim.
Take your chances folks but this seems like a rip off business and I couldn't give it even one star but that's all they allowed.
Tim, you should be ashamed.
Update 9/4 5:20pm:
In fairness and keeping with trying to offer an honest review I did receive a call from Brian, I think the sales manager, of BarcodesInc after this post was uploaded with an apology for the unsatisfactory service I received. I appreciate the fact that this was done and I was assured that I would receive a credit on my VISA within a couple of days time. Thanks for trying to set things straight.
More than a week after the apology for the poor customer service I have yet to receive a credit for the charged and non-delivered software. Can't believe this company. Going to call Seagull Scientific and implore them to remove them as a vendor. Purchased what I needed elsewhere and had my software key code in less than 24 hours.

Responsive Customer Service with Live Chat
The website doesn't update order status in the customer's account dashboard. The order stays in "pending" status from the moment you place your order and never changes even after you receive your merchandise. Until you realize this, the first time you place an order, you are left guessing as to whether or not your item has shipped etc. They did however send an "order shipped" followup email with tracking info.
