Ordering on the web was fine with good site and information. Tree arrived a couple of weeks later and looked nice. It was only later that we noticed it had a broken branch which had been partially pulled off the main trunk. It had clearly happened some time ago as the cambium had formed a scab, but decided to re-expose the cambium and bind it back on to the trunk to hopefully allow it to knit together again. Would certainly use Barcham again, but will be more careful taking delivery next time.

The ordering process was very efficient, however I found the delivery to be poor.contact by the delivery driver should have been made prior to delivery which didn't happen so consequently the driver unloaded the tree himself.when the tree was examined we found numerous broken branches.Barchams response initially was poor saying some damage was to be expected during transit but did resolve the issue later.

I bought a silver birch from Barcham around a year ago and had excellent service, the delivery driver willingly taking the tree into our back garden to its planting place. The tree was expensive but I don't mind paying for quality. The tree is a lovely white colour and the trunk straight. But recently I bought another such tree from Barcham with disappointing results. The driver did not call ahead and did not ring our doorbell but simply left the tree on our drive, blocking the garage. Also the tree has a pinkish tint to its colour and there is a distinct bow the lower trunk. I accepted the tree to avoid the hassle of returning it. Not a good experience this time from suppliers to the royal family. RS.

The smaller trees were fine, but with the medium Pinus nigra Austriaca in 100 litre bags, all the soil fell off as soon as we cut the bags off and they were, in effect bare rooted - not sure they will survive.
Delivery by one man without a tail lift meant a back-endangering lift off the side of the lorry by me and the driver.

The trees were great, but the experience with the delivery driver was a nightmare, he called 3 times before 7:30am to establish if he could fit down the country roads, and when he arrived at the top of the driveway he refused to come down the drive or bring the trees down to the house. It was left to my 68 year old father in law to attempt to take in the trees until we got home from work.
Great Trees, but delivery service was poor, hence my 3 star rating.

I was disappointed with the delivery. The driver was personable but the tree was lying flat in the trailer and had damage on one of the branches. The trailer stood around 6feet off of the ground and the driver just hauled the tree out and let it fall to the ground and this caused more damage to one of the branches. I was not aware I could have purchased a tree planting kit from Barchams as well so I suppose I did not find the website easy to navigate. I'm hoping the tree survives and gives many years of enjoyment.
