A sham. Barstoolco. took ~320usd for a promised zen casa Leiden chair which was never sent to me. The website was shut down and has since re-emerged as a new business identity / entity known as Houzz. I am going to need a refund of my money.

I would like to take this company to court and will be researching my options. One star is too high of a rating, but that is the lowest rating available. I ordered a barstool almost two months ago and have never received it or had any way to contact the company. Their website is continually not available and the phone has a constant busy signal. I filled a complaint with the Better Business Bureau associated with the company's published address. That complaint has been closed with no response from the company. I can only assume that this is a fake company making money from unsuspecting 'customers'. If you are reading this, kudos to you for doing your research. Shame on me for not looking far enough into their reviews and BBB complaints. Lesson learned for me, and grateful that I am not out thousands like some others are.

Scam company. Beware. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THESE SCAMMERS. I placed an order for side tables for my office and after one month and still no side tables, I decided to reach out to "customer service." Customer service is a voicemail that tells you to reach out online for chat or email. Chat is disabled and I never received any emails back. I finally contested the purchase with Amex BECAUSE THEY ARE SCAMMERS.

We placed an order in Dec 2018 for 8 dining room chairs. We were getting emails stating separate shipments so we contacted them and stated we would like for them to all come at one time, because the first shipment would arrive while we were out of the country. They said that was no problem and they would hold first shipment till second was ready. That didn't happen. Thanks goodness for relative who happened to stop by to collect mail. After getting all chairs and assembled them, there was one chair that was defective on one leg mount. No matter what we tried, that one leg sat 5/8" off of floor and chair would wobble. On Jan 10, 2019, I called and was told to fill out online request for fastest support. I did and it states "A support person will contact you ASAP." As of today, March 8, 2019, no one has contacted us by phone or email. After a couple days, I started to call and now it puts you on hold for about one minute and then tells you to leave a message or contact them thru chat for fastest service. You will not be able to talk to anyone on phone. I left messages and chatted with several people and no help what so ever. I even filled out the online request 2 more times. They just do not care after you have made your purchase. We did a quick search before our order and the one or two sites we found rated them decent. But now when you do a broader search, you can see just how bad they are rated. I would say "Stay Away" from Bar Stool Co.!

company is a SCAM !!!! ordered a stool and chair for hundreds of dollars in NOVEMBER 2018 it is currently march 2019 and i still have not received either and they will not return my emails about the missing products. when i placed my order it said they were both on back order until december and then when that time came around it said ready to ship for almost a month until they were placed back on back order for the rest of january and i still not not heard anything back from them.

This has to be a scam. I ordered two chairs over a month ago. No shipping, no response, no update. After I paid I have had ZERO updates on my chairs and nobody will update me. I have called, emailed, and tried the "Live Chat" Several times and no response. Don't buy from this company

Absolutely think this business is a scam as others have said. Ordered three barstools over three months ago and have not heard anything. I've tried to call and email many times and still no information. Also website is now down so I'm guessing they went out of business. Now I'll have to deal with my credit card to try and get my money back.

Reprehensible "company" with NON EXISTENT customer service. Have tried calling and emailing for tracking for an order I placed WEEKS AGO. STILL NO answers a week later from my email. VERY CONCERNING. Going to report them to the BBB. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE!!! IT IS A SHAME!

I regret purchasing from this company. Use Overstock instead and if your product is not available, put your name on a waitlist. I still haven't received my order. The company does not answer the phone. The company does not answer emails. The company does not respond to online inquiries. The company does not provide an updated ship date if a new ship date is needed. I regret not doing my research before purchasing from here.
FILE A CLAIM with the Better Business Bureau, San Antonio Consumer Protection Agency and your credit card company ASAP.

Please, please DO NOT waste your time with this sham of a company!!!
I ordered 3 counter stools from them totalling almost $1,000. They were backordered 5 days from my date of purchase. After going back and forth on the phone and via chat with customer service, they continually lied to me about the shipping date, ended up shipping a MONTH after date of purchase. The stools were dispatched via Estes freight; Bar Stool Co. only shipped two of them, and I had to wait for the third to receive my final shipment. Estes passed them off to a local freight company who failed to deliver them on the scheduled date. Ended up driving to the freight company to pick them up and all three stools were broken and destroyed in the box. Two months of absolute nightmare. I had to do a chargeback on my credit card to receive a full refund.

I wish I could give a NEGATIVE review! I ordered a Xmas gift from Bar Stool Co. and when I inquired about the delivery date, they unexpectedly CANCELLED my order. I immediately sent an email to inquire about it and they never bothered to answer! Horrible customer service! Obviously they don’t care. I highly recommend that no one waste their time!

I have placed my order for 4 dining chairs on February 3, 2019. For some reason per their policy, it takes them up to 5 business days to process the order and on their web site it says that the order will be shipped on February 11, 2019. With that speed you can easily go out of business these days.
Anyway, on February 12, my order is still in processing. I initiated the chat room with the rep and was told that they are investigating and will let me know later when my order will be shipped. Meanwhile I found exactly the same chairs from Amazon Prime $75 cheaper then from Bar Stool Co. So I was determined to cancel the order with Bar Stool Co and request a refund. So I did. Later that day I received an email stating that my order has been canceled and I will get my money back within 3-5 business days. Today, I checked with my credit card but money haven't been refunded yet. So now I believe I have to chase them to get a refund of my money. Terrible service and terrible customer care. I wish them to go out of business very soon.

I bought a dining chair from this company. The item was back ordered and expected to arrive in 8-12 weeks. After 12 weeks, I haven't received any update or information about the order. It is very hard to contact customer service and they are one-directional. They reply me with a generic email. It is just a terrible experience. If I don't get any response from them, I will file a complaint on credit card company and with any other possible method

I have never dealt with such poor customer relations in an on-line company. The item I ordered on Feb 11 was to have shipped within 24 hours. 48 hours after I ordered, I queried on line my order status and there was none, other than they charged my credit card. I sent and email to them asking for an update and heard nothing. I called and only was referred to the website or could leave my email. I started a chat on the web site and was given a scripted response of "2-7 business days processing and 7-14 business days for delivery" When asking about my specific order, I was informed it was processing and no delivery date could be given (though when I ordered, the delivery dates were Feb17-21). Then the representative "hung up" After chatting "hello..." another rep got on and explained the same 2-7/7-14 and no delivery date is known. I was, this time, informed that the website clearly states the approximate ship date is 2/24 but couldn't explain why I wasn't given that information at the order point OR why I wasn't updated that the item is currently unavailable, but could be, as it is now, 'back-ordered". I asked for my item to be cancelled, and they easily obliged, again giving me a standard 2-3 business days to process a refund.
Taking money for something they did not have and not refunding it with the speed in which they took it is bad business practice. I've learned my lesson and will thoroughly read reviews of on-line merchants I haven't done business with before. This company should be ashamed of itself for manner in which they deal with customers (as is indicated by the many many many others who have had a similar experience as me.

Do not waste your time with this scam of a so-called company. It's just some amateur with a Shopify website, making money off of unsuspecting shoppers. They will not return your call or help you if you have an issue. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

While the web site looks nice, the products are undependable and the service even worse. I ordered in August and received a damaged product, which BarstoolCo.com offered to replace, rightly. Months and months later with excuses and no communication, they just said they weren't sending it. I'm stuck with an incomplete set and a partial refund, but can't return the items I no longer need because...I'll never be able to get a complete set. I never would have agreed to their proposed resolution if I'd known it would go this way - I would have just returned it all immediately. Buyer beware...

I ordered counter stools that I needed to return. They have a 3 day return policy, so I trusted that they would honor it. I was very disappointed in the lack of costumer service that I received through out the process. It took weeks to receive my return shipping labels. On top of that, once the received my return it took a month for them to process the credit. After many, many calls to Devin or Dylan, (he wouldn't confirm his name) and threatening to dispute the charge, I finally got my money back. Over all they are super shady and unreliable. They are not honest and I don't see them around much longer. Please be careful if you decide to do business with this awful company.

Ordered a table took 3 weeks to ship, Asked them to leave at home without me being there and signed a release form. Table was not left and was redelivered 2 weeks later and of course it was damaged. Filled out there damage form for replacement and called to make sure they had received and was told they did. 10 days later after not hearing from them I called again after sending 3 emails with no response and was told that my damage form had not gone through and they would re-submit and should ship on Dec 1st. I would never order from this company or Lexmod as it seems they are connected. What a complete waste of TIME!!!

Agreed with others. The worst. Item has not shipped after they said it would. So I requested they cancel my order but they said they can’t since it’s already shipped. But they can’t tell me when it shipped or when I can expect it. They don’t answer the phone or get back to you. Stay away. Still ongoing issue. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
