It takes too long to get a resolution. Too long to get a provisional credit and its not a bank that has good customer service. Each department transfers you like a ball back and forth. A dispute is mishandled and cost you money and time.
Plus they charge you money for funding your account.These schools are insane for having a provider that charges you for gaining access to your disbursement. The other sad thing is their level of getting your money back to you in a timely manner.
If they had a negative zero i would give them that.

Worst service ever!!! My college sent refund the other day and Bankmobile has not updated my funds or ACH my funds to my account. I called spoke with agent and requested to speak with the supervisor note as I spoke to the supervisor I added a call with my college and my college verified funds sent in the amount of 1593.00 exact and bankmobile is still not delivering my funds I live in Texas which has had severe damages from weather and i have needs while attending college and four children as well, I'm hurt by this and effected. They need to be investigated and reviewed while handling Student funds issued by government.

I absolutely hate this company. This was previously Customer's Bank which was great. However, since BankMobile has taken over I've had nothing but problems. I was charged $10 for a replacement card. Cool. However, I never received the card. I've done banking with my same account and address for 4 years and if ever I needed a replacement card I received it with no issues. I contacted customer service and they refused to reimburse the $10 and informed me I should request a new card for and additional $10!! Prior to this I had a fraud dispute and BankMobile absolutely refused to satisfy my claim. They refused to do an investigation and held me responsible for all charges. This is the quickest way to receive college refund checks but by ALL MEANSS. Do not use this card for anything more. Get you refund money from a local ATM and move forward.

So far my experience with BankMobile has been good. My school refunds are on time and it has provided me an all around good experience.
However, I just have a couple of questions about the monthly fees.
For example, if my account balance is $0 at the time, will I still be charged with the monthly service fee? I'm a bit confused with this, but good experience.

Great bank!! I have had my card since I started college in 2011 .they dont charge those pesky fees and it's great to have an interest bearing account and the savings account option as well.i recommend them for getting financial aid,and also using as a general debit card.

I gave one star because they are usually ok, but this situation just set me off! I paid out my insurance bill on Oct 4th which was Friday. I know it takes several days especially over a weekend. On Wednesday, the 9th, i looked at my account. I was $9 negative. This was a Netflix payment. I had forgotten the date was changed, but it said my insurance was taken out the day before. That was my big concern. My insurance was taken and paid which left $3 in my account. The next day Netflix came through for $12.99. Seeing i had $3 it made sense that it was negaive $9. I was sick yesterday and i knew i had a deposit coming in the next day on the 10th. I figured it would take it out of my deposit the next day, or i would just pay it out. Either way my insurance was paid, and that was very important.
This morning i check my account and Netflix was paid, my deposit came in, and i had $150.00 more in my account than i should! The check was returned! Why? I tried explaining to customer service. Why was my check returned? I had $153.00 in my account. My insurance was paid out on the 8th which left $3 and change. Netflix came through on the 9th AFTER my insurance was paid out the day before! Thats why Netflix put my account negative $9! If the insurance $ was still there my account wouldn't of said $9 negative! A $12.99 charge against a $3 balance is negative $9! Why was my insurance check returned? Insufficient funds? $153.00 -$150.00 is $3 balance! Add a $12.99 charge and you get -$9. My insurance money had nothing to do with this. It was paid out day before! This may possibly screw up my bill. They may run it again. I cant pay it because i'll end up paying twice. This payment was to stop a cancellation. Now i may be charged by my insurance returned check fee. ! THEY PAID IT OUT DAY BEFORE! HOW WAS IT PRESENTED FOR PAYMENT THE DAY BEFORE, YET THERE IT WAS IN THE BACKGROUND AFTER IT HAD BEEN PAID OUT? IT HAD TO HAVE BEEN PAID OUT FOR MY BALANCE TO BE EXACTLY WHAT IS WAS... $-9! I guess i cant rely on the dates given for what comes in or out of my account. So, next time it says something was paid out i cant rely on that, because it wasnt. Its taken off your ledger and is reflected in your balance, yet it wasnt. They ran it AFTER netflix came through. That's the only way it bounced! Not the first time this has happened. It was another bank, but same principle. The customer service lady was useless! She kept saying "check was returned!" Yes, i know that, but why? She did not say anything. No explanation of how a bill that said it was paid was returned because of a transaction trying to go through the next day! I hope they just run it again. I have had this account for 10 yrs, and i normally dont have balance issues. Did forget the netflix payment, but like I've said the negative blance was correct and could of only been that exact negative balance had the $150.00 been paid out of my account. Why? Because it was laid out!!! Thanks a lot!!

Thanks Bankmobile! I recently wrote a review in response to not being refunded for a double charge. The day after I’ve written that review, an employee named Michael S contacted me. He emailed me and called me about the claim. The company’s fast response was impressive. Furthermore, Michael or whoever had authorized a provisional credit the same day!!! I had no idea that I would be heard after getting the run around from Sprint and being redirected by Bankmobile. I had visited two Sprint stores and called their customer service multiple times with them denying that they double charged me. It was exhausting. I’m not sure what Bankmobile did, but Sprint mysteriously found the charge and processed my refund on November 9th. Mind you, I can’t see any of this on my Sprint portal. I left Sprint and kept Bankmobile. Thank you so much! $178 may not seem like a lot to some, but I need all of MY money!

Bank mobile has taken funds from my account without notifying me on the day of my direct deposit not allowing me to order flowers for my aunt's funeral. I left a review regarding their poor fraud services and received correspondence this morning that my case would be closed and I would not be receiving my funds back after investigation. I absolutely did not process the transaction and bank mobile knows this they take money from me some way some how every weeks since I've set up direct deposit. The higher the balance in my savings the higher the negative balance in my checking goes, yet they don't cover overdrafts. I've had a transaction where money was moved from my savings to my checking with a zero balance. Half the employees work from home in the same house and will ridicule you when passing calls to so called higher authorities. I am currently getting the law involved as this last transaction was for 61.95 and was my absolute last and they have no care concern or consideration the inconvenience their theft is causing myself and my family.

I'm forced to do business with BankMobile because my student loans get disbursed through them but I would not do business with them if I had options with legitimate banks. They are the WORST bank. I have 3 other bank accounts with wells fargo, chase and citibank and have NO issues. This bank is nothing but issues.
First of all, you can only bring money INTO the account using transfer apps like Zelle, you cannot transfer OUT unless you do a wire transfer at a cost of $25 or try to do a bill pay, which was a complete fail.
When I tried to call customer service because the bill pay failed, there was no option on their automated line to talk to customer service, their menu options did not include talking to a representative about a bill pay issue or money transfer issue. I finally just pressed any number because otherwise, it hangs up on you.
The customer service person I spoke to was absolutely rude and condescending, he kept saying "as I already said" about things he had NOT already said. He kept saying bill pays were issued via paper checks and I should receive the money within 7 business days. It was past 7 business days and the check was still not received, no one had attempted to cash it but they refused to cancel the bill pay.
The bill pay check was TO ME, I had not received it, no one had attempted to cash it. Why wouldn't he cancel it? Because "not enough time had elapsed since it was issued" but when pressed for how much time must elapse, he kept saying "today or tomorrow". The only reason I had to write myself a bill pay transaction in the first place was because they make it impossible to transfer money out to another account, which I can do freely and easily with ALL of my other banks. It was infuriating.
I absolutely WOULD NOT recommend banking with them, and I am in the process of moving all of my money out of this account and moving it to one of my other banks.

I went to another country for work and when I returned money Was taken from my account . Filed a dispute and am still waiting for the 1800 dollars to come back to me ! This is a crooked bank with turn around time and broken English customer service unit . Stay away from this bank and go to a reputable bank that is concerned about giving you your money back .

You can take take take money all day long but you can’t do anything to release it in a reasonable time frame. Pathetic. She couldn’t even understand THREE of your “customer service” reps because their accents were so heavy. Like I said, I’ll be filing complaints everywhere possible, speaking to my attorney in the morning and we’ll make damn sure that she won’t be subject to your BS any longer.

Excellent I have used since 2016. They my associate's, bachelor's and just started my MBA!! As soon as my school released my funding the next day bank mobile notified me they had received funding for processing and I would have it in my bank anywhere from the following day to 3 business days after the notification. They have been seamless to work with!

I've been with BankMobile for over a year now and have deposited my pay roll checks almost weekly for that year. This past week I deposited my payroll check as usual the funds were made available on the same day then taken away and a hold placed on them. I called to inquire why my payroll check was on hold and was told it would be made available to me on September 11th. He gave me a bunch of reasons why this could happen but not a specific one and none of the reasons he gave applied to me or the account. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but I have a bill to pay on September 9th. My funds won't be available till 2 days after so now I have to go without service for 2 days and pay a reconnect fee because why exactly? This is ridiculous. I'll just swap over to another bank and do business there if this happens. Withholding someone's funds for 2 weeks for no reason that applies is unacceptable in my opinion.
EDIT: To your response, I've never gotten an email from you stating the reason for the hold or a release date. Your customer service rep couldn't give me a specific reason other than it could be "one of many things". The only email I recieved was after my check was deposited stating it was APPROVED. Never seen a check be approved, funds released then taken back and placed on hold before.
